Ji’lahni POV:

Yea. I need to up the timeline. I’m getting weaker and sicker by the day and so were Shawna and Mina. They both looked like they hadn’t eating in days, and I could tell they were losing hope of ever getting out. I already face the fact that I wasn’t getting out of here understand I wasn’t ok with it, but I couldn’t live the fact that we would all die because I slowed them down. I was vomiting, dizzy, and I ached all over. My arm wasn’t healing but I was able to move it, but it was super ugly. The people in the lab try and clean it saying that they didn’t want the infection getting into the blood they collected so Zane allowed them to clean it with soap and water. I feel like he wanted to keep me in a weaken state I guess less trouble for him. “Hey, we are getting out of here tonight.” I whispered. Shawna and Mina crawled over to my cot I sat up painfully.

“Why now? What’s the plan?” They both asked. “The longer we stay the weaker we become so we need to make a break for it before we won’t have the strength to do it. We wait for the shift change so we know there will be no one coming in to relieve them until break. Theo will be on shift because he always comes every three nights, he’s the one who treats us fairly decent. I’ll act sick then Mina you ask for some water once he opens the door and steps inside Shawna, you push him towards me and you to use the blood that we have been collecting ourselves. We dip the old rags in it and wrap our hands and dip our fingertips in order to take down the three guards you will have to be quick so make sure blood is on your fingertips good because you will need to go for the eyes. Once you blind the first two guards quick deal with the last one the one with the limp you have to Mina you go for the bad leg and Shawna, you punch him in the head to knock his ass out, we grab their keys, and wallets.

Then we head to the chef where the workers will be gone there, we will only spend ten seconds finding any type of weapons, food, and water that we can carry so Shawna you find the weapons I’ll find the food and mina find water. Then we head for the exit where we know two guards will be once we open the door, we will have to use the surprise to take them down quickly. There will be no way to hide once the door to the facility is open, so we attack the two guards at the door. The alarms are going to be blaring by then, but we need to get to the exit closest to the wooded area. We have to be quick timing is everything. Whoever we encounter will be stronger than us so we will need fight smarter not harder because we will need our strength to run as far away as we can. We are getting the hell out of here. We got this we need to get our rest eat whatever they bring to get our strength up. They thought they could break us, but they don’t know who the fuck they were dealing with.” I said as I see the hope and determination in their eyes which is what I needed to see.

I love them with all my heart. I wish I could tell them that, but I know they would pick up on what I was planning. So, I just said it silently and I faced away from them and let the tears fall. We all jump up when we hear the guards chatting it up with the guards who will be taking their place for their twelve-hour shift. We glanced at each other and went to the hole behind Mina cot that we stored our blood in. We dug the hole with the spoons they gave us when they feed us. We had ripped the bottom of our shirts off days ago to wrap my arm in we soaked our hands and then the rags and wrapped them up and then we soaked them again. That done Shawna went into position by the door and me and Mina went to my cot now it’s show time. Taking a deep breath, I stuck my bloody fingers down my throat and threw up what little food I ate it wasn’t hard I was going to puke it up anyway, so I started the show early.

“Hey, guard my cousin is sick she’s throwing up can you please get her some help? The mean ugly bastard came to the cut-out window. We called him lil dick because he looked like a bodybuilder the kind that be in those competitions. “Suck it up there is nothing wrong with her it’s just a little vomit.” Lil dick said laughing. Rolling her eyes. “Well can you at least get her se water?” “Yea I’ll give her some water alright how about I come in and piss in her mouth that’s water right.” Lil dick burst out laughing as the others join in. “Will you stop being an ass hole for once move I’ll give her my water bottle.” Theo said pushing lil dick from the door as he opens the door and steps in, Mina hops up and move closer to the door as he steps in to hand me the water.

Shawna pushes him with all her mite he did exactly what we wanted which was for hum to stumble in shock they didn’t wait to see if he fell they knew to focus on their mission Shawna dived on lil dick and went straight for his eyes then nuts and Mina did the same before limpy could react and get out his chair they both attack him while the other two guards screamed holding their eyes in pain. Theo stumbled and I grabbed him and pulled him down to the floor. I really didn’t want to hurt him, but I had no choice we need to get out. Ironically, he didn’t even try to fight back, which gave me pause. I know hesitation would get us all killed.

“Go ahead do it I won’t fight you I hated what they were doing to you, but I had no choice." He said sadly. Deciding I didn’t want to blind him I chose to knock his ass out and lock him in. We grabbed their keys. They didn’t have wallets but oh well we had to move quick I could already feel my body declining but I had to push myself at least until I got them out. I had the halls mentally down pact in my head I was always looking around and I would always try and break loose not to escape but to get as much information about this place as I can. So, I knew where the kitchen was. We ran as fast as we could to the kitchen. “Ten seconds starting now we count out loud to keep track we all run to wear we think our target items are. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten. We all come back with everything Shawna found fourteen knives in all sizes, so I let them tuck knives in each back pocket, the small knives went between rags on their hand.

I grabbed the last two. It wasn’t strange to them that I allowed them to get all the knives because of my injured arm I stuff one in my back pocket and carried the other in my other hand. We took a deep breath because we know this was the moment of truth the guards that was guarding us have probably recovered enough to get back up and alert other. We made quick work of the keys we knew that there was a master key that they all had that open all the doors. We found the key to the door and stormed out just as the alarm sounded throughout the camp. That’s when all hell broke loose.

Makahi POV:

“Is everyone in position. We have to make sure that we aren’t spotted.” I said via mind link. We arrived at Zane’s borders an hour ago. We set up camp downwind about one mile away under the cover of the forest. We had a clear view of the camp from here. I sent scouts to surround the compound in order to get a layout of the entire compound. We didn’t want any surprises once we attack. We were outnumbered, it was one wolf for every two wolves. We hadn’t seen any sign of Alpha Zane, but it didn’t matter one way or the other. Montego stuck close to Lynn I knew wherever she was going and so was he. She was right about the signals and once we were within five hundred miles of the camp, she was able to pinpoint their exact location.
