Lynn’s POV:

Well, this is about to be super bad. Grandmother wanted me and my siblings and their dragons to meet before this mission. She has been acting really weird and I know she is hiding something, because she always talks in riddles. Leaving you wondering if she has lost her mind. “I see your siblings still have issues telling time.” My grandmother said as she entered the conference room. Did I mention that I am about tired of this damn conference room. “Grandmother, I still don’t know why we are even doing this. We have to prepare for this mission to save our babies, we don’t have time to try and work on our family drama.” I said, frustratedly. “Oh, Lynndoria you’re still the hotheaded one, once your siblings get here, I will tell you everything.” My grandmother said, as she sat down. “Ok grandmother, we are here what is it that is so important that you had to summon us and not let us get some sleep before we have to save these brats.” Kat said, rolling her eyes. “Kat please don’t make me punch you in the mouth. Watch how you talk about our babies.” I said, getting up, walking over to my sister as she entered the room.

“OMG! Would you stop with the “our babies,” those are not your babies those babies belong to the human and the wolf. You need to get that through your head no matter how much you say it those humans aren’t your family you don’t belong with them you’re an outsider that they feel sorry for.” Kat said with a smirk she has always tried to make me feel less then like I’m not good enough to be valued and loved. But what she doesn’t get is that those girls taught me what it means to value myself with or without anyone and they have shown me that they would ride for me through anything. So, her words don’t mean jack shit to me anymore I’m not the same person she used to bully. I smiled, thinking that if they were here right now, I would probably have to pull Mina off Kat.

“ENOUGH! Kat, do I have to do the same thing I had to do to your brother when he wouldn’t close his mouth.” My grandmother not even bothering to look her way. Kay visibly trembled and shook her head and took her sit. “Now where is Dradon?” Grandmother, looking at the door. “I’m right here, sorry I’m late I had lunch with Mina today.” Dradon said, smiling. Wait Is he blushing? what the FUCK is he up to. “Wha.” I was about to ask, but Kat be me to it. “That’s where you were? You said you wanted to get some lunch I didn’t know you were going on a date with that." Kat sneered. “Watch your fucking mouth Kat. But I would also like to know what the hell are you up to Dradon why are you all of a sudden showing interest in her?” I said watching him closely. “I’m not up to anything it was purely a coincident that we bumped into each other that, and I invited myself to her house for lunch.” Dradon said, with that silly ass smile on his face.

“I swear Dradon you stay away from Mina she is not yours and you will not imprint on her, I will not let you put her life in danger.” I said, in anger. His smile dropped at my words, and I was about to say something, but grandmother spoke before he could. “Now, that everyone is here. I wanted to speak with you all and tell you what I have found out. We have reason to believe that the witch has your brother Cannon. I told you that the witches that found the rift also said there was a black dragon in her realm.” Grandmother said. “Which we all know is impossible, because they died during the war.” Maxisin said, sitting back in his chair.

“Yes, that is correct, but the witches said that they saw a black dragon in that realm, and if that is the case, I fear that the dragon isn’t really a black dragon, The dragon may be…your dragon Lynn, the Dragon you gave to your brother. He was born without a dragon so when you gave up your tie to your dragon it transferred to your brother. We all know a dragon is weakened without the rider that was chosen for them by the dragon god. In that weaken state makes him vulnerable to mental attack. I believe the witch was somehow able to put a spell on him to make him turn dark and blacken his heart turning him into a black dragon.” My grandmother said, I felt like I had all the air sucked out of me.

I just couldn’t believe that Lynx would ever turn dark. I made sure before I left that Cannon and Lynx connected and were blood tied. “Grandmother how could this happen I made sure he and Cannon were connected by blood and we were disconnected. Why would he be weakened when he had a rider?” I asked confused and scared shitless. “Because Cannon wasn’t chosen for him. The connection was artificial there so his strength wasn’t at its full potential.” My blood drain from my face at what Cannon and Lynx were going through. “This is all your fault if you hadn’t left to find your own, “Destiny” now not only is our baby brother missing, and suffering from whatever they are doing to him, and the golden dragon has turned into an evil black dragon. So, because they are connected by blood, Cannon may also be affected. I hope you’re happy now. You just had to go and fine yourself and not bother to think about anything other than yourself. So, whatever happens to Cannon it will be your fault.” Kat said angrily. That made my blood boiled.

“Are you stupid or are you stupid and slow? You and Maxisin are the reason I left. How you conveniently forgot what you and he did to me daily if you and him weren’t beating on me then the elders were beating on me because I defended when I got tired of the abuse. So don’t act like you didn’t have a hand in me leaving that hell hole yall created for me simply because I was better at everything then you and Maxisin. So, whatever happens now will not be on me alone yall played a part in all of this.” I said getting up to go directly in her face hoping she gave me a reason to knock her ass out.

“I did not bring you here to lay blame at anyone’s feet what happen to Cannon isn’t anyone’s fault we haven’t been at war in decades there was no reason to think that Cannon becoming a rider would do any harm because the golden dragons were the last of the dragon shifters. There was no way for anyone to think that a witch would attack a dragon and his rider. We need to make sure that when we try and get Cannon and Lynx out of there alive. Dradon and Myria when we get to the other realm, I need you to find your brother Lynx and inject him with this.” My grandmother said handing them a flat disc. “Just place this disc anywhere on his body and it will activate and release the potion that will knock him out, he will shift into human form, and you get him to the rift and then come back and aid the alpha and his warriors getting those pups out. Katalynia and Maxisin you need to try and find Cannon.” My grandmother said, looking over at my sibling.

“I will help to find him he is also my brother, so I will help.” I said, holding my head up high. “We need you to help find him you don’t think of us as your family. Those humans are your family. So, we don’t need you.” Kat said with a sneer. “I don’t care about nothing you just said, because you nor Maxisin is going to stop me from trying to find my brother. I didn’t ask you for permission, I was just letting grandmother know. You seem to be wishing for violence today, and I’m about to grant your wish if you keep talking crazy to me.” I said looking at Kat waiting to see if I will become a genie in a bottle. “Can you two give it a rest we need to focus on finding Cannon.” Maxisin said rolling his eyes at us.

For the first time I had to agree with him as much as I hated to admit it. Once grandmother left the room I waited until all my siblings left the room leaving only me and Dradon I had a feeling he wanted to talk to me and although I didn’t feel like talking to him, he seemed to be determined. "Dradon what is it? I really want to try and get some sleep before we leave.” I said as Dradon stepped towards me. “I just wanted to talk about our agreement. You promised me that you would do me a favor for saving your friend.” He said and I got a little nervous. “Yes, I remember but I told you Mina was off-limits.” I said just so he knows I will not allow him to touch Mina. But he waved my comment off.

“I have no intentions of forcing myself on anyone I am not some wild animal, but if she chooses me, you will have no control over her choice. Now I have figured out what I want from you in exchange from saving your human friend and her baby.” He said, calmly, a little too calmly. “What is it that you want Dradon?” I asked nervously. “It’s nothing really it's rather simply actually.” Dradon said, as he sat lazily. “Ok what is it just spit it out already.” I said, getting annoyed. “You will reconnect with Lynx, and you will allow him to imprint on you.” He said as if he just didn’t say he wanted me to not only reconnect with Lynx but also wanted me to allow us to have sex and allow him to impregnant me.
