Ji’lahni’s POV:

I blinked to focus on the handsome man in front of me. We were just inches away from each other and I wanted so badly for him to kiss me even knowing it was wrong on so many levels. I was About to just say fuck it and go for it. But the room door crashed open sending immediately pain shooting through my head that hurt so bad I thought I would pass out. "What the hell are you doing to my mate you skank. The woman screamed. Which cause Makahi to immediately pull away from me. Which was kind of upsetting. I thought I heard growling, but I can't be sure because my ears are still ringing, and my head is being cut off. Because there is no other explanation for this pain. I hear screaming and a little bark that sounded like my Raz I cracked open my eyes enough to see a female coming towards me with a black fur ball in her hand and in an instant, she yanks my hand.

I scream out in pain causing more pain in my head and Raz ever the protector jumps and bites the hand that is currently trying to tear my arm off. She yelps and slings Raz across the floor and as my hand drops to the bed I feel cool medal and thank my cousins for making sure I'm good I grabbed the knife and put it to that bitch neck and nicked her, so she knows it's real and her wide-eyed expression lets me know she understands. "If you ever lay a hand on Raz again I will kill you bitch you understand me." I said shaking from the intense pain that is radiating off me and I feel myself passing out, but I can't while she is still near me. Just then her ass was lifted off the floor and out the door before I could blank. Which I was relieved because my body gave completely out. All I could make out was Raz whimpering next to me and licking my face. You know I don't let no dog or wolf lick my face. But I'll tell him about it later. I thought, as I welcome the darkness.

Makahi POV:

"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOURE DOING?"

I growled as I squeezed Summer's throat, fighting with my wolf to not crush her throat for hurting our mate. Realizing she couldn't answer I let her go and she dropped to the ground in a heap on the floor. With Everyone watching she immediately got up with anger in her eyes. "What do you mean what am I doing what was she doing why was she touching you why were you so close to her. What the hell is going on Kahi." Summer raged in a loud whisper. Sighing I really didn't want to deal with this now. Honestly, I couldn't tell her anything while I'm still not sure what is going on myself. Trying to defuse the situation. "Summer, I told you the doctor said she has a really bad concussion and loud noises cause her severe pain and it will be that way until we get her medication. She had just woken up and I had to lean into whisper to her without hurting her. I said leaving out we almost kissed part. "Well, why does she have to touch you that way? I'm telling you that was not a I want to whisper something to you touch. That was her I want to fuck you touch are you blind I swear Kahi I will do more than yank her arm next time I will rip her fucking throat out if that fat bitch touches you again?" Summer said angrily getting louder. "Now that will be kinda hard to do with a knife in your gut and your throat split." Ji'lahni cousins said as they appeared damn near out of thin air. They were rushing towards us still strapped clearly not trying to be caught off guard again.

"So, you want to put your hands on somebody how about try that shit with us." Mina said with Shawna right behind her, Shadow trailing behind her. Keep them back! I don't trust that Summer won't try, and shift and we don't want that to happen especially because they don't know about us." I mind link Shadow as I stepped in front of Summer, she huffs clearly not threatened" You human women are all the same so full of yourself that you don't even know what your life is at risk." Summer sneered trying to get pass me. She had already had her nails elongated trying to get to the girls that shadow had a hard time trying to keep back. Everyone in the lobby was staring in shock. I turned back to Summer intending to pick her up and carry her outside. But Shadow underestimated the women somehow Mina breaks away and charged at me as I threw Summer over my shoulder, Mina pulled her fist back and upper cut Summer and all I heard was bones being broken and Summer screening in pain. Then all hell broke loose.

Obviously pissed Summer was beginning to shift I could feel the magic rippling through her skin she managed to grabbed Mina arm and dug her nails into her wrist Mina cursed at the sudden pain and just like with Ji'lahni and the rogue wolves as soon as Mina's blood made contact with Summer hand it immediately started to burn her hands she growled out in pain and had the opportunity to lift her up and out of the hospital away from my mate and her cousins now more confused than ever because it wasn't just Ji'lahni's blood it was one or both of her cousin's. Once outside I drop Summer to the ground to inspect her hand and it looked like she burned her fingers really bad. Looking at summer I could see that she was angry but also sad and confused, which was my fault. "Baby you need to shift and heal yourself then you need to change out of those bloody clothes. I said trying to calm her. "Makahi what the hell is going on? Why did that bitches blood burn me? You have been acting different since I got back and now, you're at that human's bedside all night I deserve some answers we're going to mates in a couple of weeks." She said through tears. Regardless of everything that is happening Summer is right she deserved better from me.

Hell, all this could be just a mix up more than likely their blood is why it was making it seem like she was my mate. Thinking about it I finally realized that was more than likely the cause of my wolf thinking she was my mate. I need to focus on my pack and the rogue wolves that attacked us. There is something brewing that attack was well organized and it bothered me that they seemed to be one step ahead of me and that is something I can't get passed. Looking at summer we had 3 years together and she was loyal and a fighter as well and I loved her. With that said I needed to get the thoughts of Ji'lahni out of my head there was no way that a human could ever be my mate. "Look go shift and get out of those bloody clothes and meet at the house I owe you a meal, don't I?" I said taking her hand even if my body wanted to recoil at the intimate gesture that wasn't Ji'lahni. Smiling up at me she looked up at me standing on her tip toes to kiss my lips, but I quickly turned so that it land on my cheek instead. Even though I made up my mind my body still has to catch up.

"How about let's just leave here and go back to your place together I won't need clothes tonight anyway. I'll just use one of your shirts." She smiled pulling me closer to her trying to put some space between us without her realizing. "I have to speak with the doctor and get someone to stand guard until the threat is eliminated. I want to make sure that everyone is safe. After that I promise I'm all yours. I said tilting her head to kiss her lips I had to at least try. But I failed miserably but not enough for summer to notice so that's a win.
