I’ll kill him.

Makahi's POV:

DAMN IT! Why the hell isn't Montego nor Shadow picking up? I haven't heard from them since they called to tell me they've made it to my uncle's pack. "HONNNEEYYY! Where are you?" Summer asked via mind link. Sighing I had left our room when she fell asleep so I could call my team. I had plan to sleep on the couch in my office because the last thing I needed was to sleep with Summer in our bed. I have been trying to avoid any confusion once Ji’lahni gets back. I had already messed up earlier because of the mates bond, after Britney left with strict instructions that Summer remained on bedrest for a few days but also ABSOLUTELY no stress even suggested doing things to relieve stress and relax her, with a wink in our direction, and that was all Summer needed to hear, I tried to resist her by saying she had just had a scare, but she was relentless, and we ended up bringing each other release with our hands and mouths.

I immediately felt like shit as soon as my release ended. Summer ended up falling asleep and me sneaking out to call Montego. "Hey, I'm in the office. What do you need?" I asked via mind link. "I missed you, I'm hungry so I thought we could eat something and then finish what we started earlier." she responded. "I'll have one of the Omegas bring you something and I will join you once I'm done here." I said and she reluctantly agreed. Just then Montego mind linked me to let me know they were entering the gates of our pack. My heart immediately started to race at the thought of seeing my pups again and seeing Ji'lahni.

"OK I'll meet you at the house where they will be staying." I said getting up from my desk excitedly. "Wait alpha I don't know if it's a good idea for you to come just yet maybe wait until they get settled." Montego said nervously. Frowning suspiciously "What the hell are you talking about Montego why do I need to wait?" I asked. There was a long pause to the point I felt like I was going to have to repeat myself. But he answered as I was about to repeat the question. "Well, your uncle’s Beta Dom came along with us to help protect the girls." I frowned wondering why uncle sent his beta when they needed all the men they could get. But even so I'm still not seeing why that is a problem with me coming to see them. "Why is he here and what does that have to do with me seeing my pups and Ji'lahni?" I asked. And again, there was a long pause.

"Well Alpha it seems as though he and Ji'lahni are dating." Montego said in a nervous whisper, and I lost it. "I'LL KILL HIM!" Maka immediately came to the fore front as I broke my office door off its hinges. Maka's sole purpose was to kill the wolf who dares to touch my other half and my pups. I could vaguely hear Montego trying to stop me. But he should have known it was above me now only the goddess herself would be able to stop me from killing that damn Beta male who thought he could touch my mate. He allowed a man to lay claim to what's mine and brought him to my pack. And Montego better hope I stop at just that beta's death, and not his too.

Montego's POV:

"Shit! Shadow put the bags down and... and Shawna you and Mina get the babies in the house NOW! Ji'lahni I know you don't owe him no loyalty, but if you don't want blood shed please step away from the beta and get behind Shadow and beta Dom you will respect the Alpha of this pack I don't know if you know that Ji'lahni is his other half mate but there are things going on that you're unaware of because it's classified so just don't provoke our Alpha if you can't respect that then I can't stop what he may do to you." I said hoping to get them apart before I tell Kahi. I was debating on whether to answer him or not, he was pushing for answers, and I knew it was better to tell him rather than him walking up on the two love birds the Beta was all over her.

She seemed a little uncomfortable but accepted his attention. I saw Ji’lahni step out of his embraced and walked next to Shadow but not behind him. I looked over to the Beta who looked hurt by Ji’lahni’s actions, he weighed his options, but he knew he had to abide by the rules of this pack and its Alpha. He finally squared his shoulders and crossed his arms defiantly but nodded in my directions. I then mind link Kahi letting him know about Ji’lahni and the beta. They heard the exact moment I told Kahi about them. Because All we heard was a loud growl that shook the entire ground. We saw Makahi come into view and his sole focus was on the Beta. “Shit! I said through gritted teeth. Dom whatever you do don’t react.” I said inching towards the beta to make sure Kahi doesn’t kill him instantly.

But before I could block the beta from Kahi, Ji’lahni stepped in front of me and the Beta. Kahi stops dead in his tracks, inches away from her and his eyes immediately softens and a strangled howl, came from Kahi right before he picks Ji’lahni up into his arms and ran into the woods. The Beta was about to go after them, but Shadow held him back. “He won’t hurt her she controls his wolf, let them be for now. She may get him to not kill all of us.” Shadow said guiding the Beta back to the vans to unload the rest of their luggage. I sure hope she can calm Maka enough to not kill the beta and me because the look in his eyes sent shivers down my spine.

Back to Makahi and Maka POV:

“Kahi what the hell man? Put me down. I swear I am going to stab you if you don’t put me down.” Ji’lahni yelled as I ran into the woods to get her far away from that beta, she even smelled like him which only pissed me off more and made me run further into the woods. I didn’t stop until I came to a little shack me, and Montego built as teens in order to sneak off and drink and hang out. No one knew it was out here and we haven’t been here in years. We had it hidden behind trees and brushes, someone passing by would just see trees and dense bushes. I kicked the makeshift door in, entered the dark shack, placed her on the floor, and went in search for the old lamp and lighter hoping it still worked, luckily it did. Once I lit the shack up Ji’lahni looked around still breathing hard and still angry.

I’m trying to control Maka who wanted to take her and mark her just to claim her and get the damn beta’s scent off her. “What the hell is wrong with you Kahi?” she came to me punching at my chest. I grabbed her wrist and yanked her to me and kissed her to shut her up but also because I needed to. At first, she was stiff in my arms but a growl from Maka had her gasping, and I took the opportunity to deepen the kiss which she whimpered and wrapped her arms around my neck, and I lifted her up as she wrapped her legs around my waist. We didn’t stop until we had to come up for air, leaning my forehead on hers trying to stop myself from capturing her lips again. “Hey.” She whispered and I couldn’t help the small laugh that escape my lips. “Hey.” I said, as I carried her to the couch, sat down with her straddling me not wanting to sit her on the dirty couch she must have thought the same thing because she didn’t try to move. “Kahi we can’t keep doing this you’re mated to Summer you made a choice that I’m trying to accept and move on with my life.”

“Lahni, I know this is fucked up and all my fault, but I. WILL. KILL. HIM if I see him touch you or smell him on you. I will lose control like I did tonight. I don’t know why I’m still connected to you; this has never happened before. I’m trying to figure it out. I promise I just need some time; can you please wait until we figure things out? Maka is clawing at my consciousness trying to break free so he can mark you he feels our connection way stronger than I do because he was against me marking Summer from the start. He wants you just as much as I do maybe more so because you’re human with no wolf he is also connected to you, and it somehow makes the bond between us stronger than I’ve ever heard of.” I said pleadingly, hoping she understands where I’m coming from.
