Makahi’s POV:

Lynn glanced at Montego her eyes soften for a split second before they landed on Summer who was clinging to Montego. Lynn frowned and all you saw was hatred turning back to me her face now devoid of any emotion. “All we need is to get within range of where they are for the locator chip to pick up a signal. We have been following leads and we have come up empty.” Lynn said as they all came around my desk. Really looking at Mina and Shawna for the first time since they came in. They look `battered and bruised and weak, but they also looked angry and determined. I can only hope that Ji’lahni was still alive. I don’t know what I would do if she weren’t and although I hadn’t marked her I feel like she’s alive I would know somehow if she wasn’t. “She’s alive. He won't kill her he’s infatuated with her for some reason. I think it has something to do with all the information your girlfriend was feeding him." Shawna sneered glancing towards Summer who was looking down avoiding eye contact. “What do you mean feeding information? What is she talking about?” I said directing my gaze to Summer.

“Oh, didn’t your girlfriend tell you. She’s the one who started all of this She’s the one who told her uncle about Ji’lahni and her blood She’s the one who convinced Bruin to call her uncle and have us arrested all because she was jealous and how you were attracted to Ji’lahni.” Shawna said as she took a step towards Summer, but Shadow held her in place. “You can’t believe anything this filthy human says they’re just trying to tear us apart don’t you see that none of this would be happening if it wasn’t for them.” Summer screamed historically. “ENOUGH!” I yelled using my Alpha aura I really don’t have time to deal with any of this Ji’lahni is out there somewhere with a psycho. “I don’t care about any of that right now all I want to do is get Ji’lahni back. Summer you will write down all the property your family has owned or visited.” I said with my alpha aura I don’t have time to ask more than once. Looking at the people in my room.

“I know I would be wasting my time telling you girls to stay while we look for Ji’lahni, so I won’t. Montego call our friend Rico and arrange for a helicopter so we can cover more ground that way. Shadow go gather our best warrior and arrange guards to protect the borders. Dismissed. Except Mina and Shawna.” I said reading the report from the information we gathered from other packs about their run in with Alpha Zane there were quite a long list of packs who have had issues with him. I look up after hearing the door click closed. The girls sat in the chair across from my desk. I leaned back to observe them carefully. You could tell they have been through a lot, but it didn’t break them. I couldn’t help but admire them. “I know you have given your report to my Beta, and I know by now you know that we’re werewolves. But I want to hear everything that happened at that camp especially Ji’lahni.

I know they told you she was pregnant. But I don't know if you know that I'm." I tried to tell them, but they interrupted. “We know, we knew as soon as they told us she was pregnant. We have tons of questions, especially about werewolves. But from what we are being told yall know just as much as we do. Which is why it’s important we get her back. Once we do we plan to kill her so yall might not ever know. We're angry that she sacrificed herself to save us. We’re angry because we were too battered emotionally, mentally, and physically to know what she planned to do. She was very sick and weaker than us. We figured that it was because her arm was getting worse and not better even with them cleaning it occasionally. They would always pick her randomly, which we found out that Zane would try and get her to be his mate. She was afraid he would force her. We don’t know what that means to werewolves, but we don’t think it’s anything good. They drew so much blood from us that we would often pass out and did so a few times." Mina said, tears falling from her eyes.

"But Ji’lahni always fought when she felt either of us struggling, she knew they wouldn’t beat her as bad because Zane would kill anyone who had but they found clever ways to hurt her. The day we broke out it was really bad for her I think that’s why she decided we would she must think she doesn’t have much time left. She doesn’t know she’s pregnant of she did she would fight to her last breath but if Zane took her and tries to force her, she may think she only have one way out because she would die before she allows anyone to force themselves on her. It’s been twenty-four hours and each hour that passes the less likely we are to find her. We have to find her she is all we have left.” Shawna said as they all cried. I felt sorrow lodged in my throat almost choking me as pictures of the day before when I saw her right before Zane took her it was acceptance and sadness, she recognized me even in wolf form. But she’s not dead my pup isn’t dead I know it my wolf would feel it I don’t know how or why but I just know she’s alive. “Don’t worry we will find her, and I will allow you to kill my mate right after I do for putting herself in danger. She is alive I know it so let’s stop wasting time and go find her.” I said getting up.

“Montego get everyone ready we leave in 30.” I mind linked. “Alpha, may I have a word with you? The doc asks as I was making my way to the trucks to make sure we have everything we need to rescue my mate. “Yea docs make it quick we’re leaving in a half hour.” “Yes of course I was wanting to know if I could come along, you will need me if miss Nelson is badly hurt. There is so much we don’t know about because a human has never been pregnant by a wolf let alone the fact that they are two babies and there has never been an instant where an alpha has ever fathered a girl pup. So, I want to…… “STOP!” I said feeling lightheaded and confused. “Did you say I’m having a girl and boy pup? She’s having twins. How is that even possible our women only have one pup, and they barely make it, and no alpha has even birthed a daughter. How is this possible?” I said and asked in disbelief.

“Yes, indeed it has never happened which is why I think it’s important that I be there. I have done some test on their blood to see what the anomaly was I think the wolfbane somehow changed their genetic makeup to the point that they can obviously become our mate and bare our pups I also think them being human somehow made it possible for an alpha to have girl pup. Humans are fascinating beings. If she is indeed still pregnant, I will need to check the pups immediately to see if they’re in distress because of the wolfbane in their blood. My team and I think that if they survive, then wolfbane won’t affect them as they do us. They are also comparing the she wolves' blood to her blood to see if there is something that we can create to increase the chances of her surviving the pregnancy and birth of your pups.” He said, while I stood there in shocked silence.

I was listening but was in a state of shock hearing everything the doc said. I was having a girl pup along with my boy pup I can’t believe any of this is happening and I don’t have time to figure it out or ask questions. “Be ready in twenty minutes and meet us at the entrance.” I said not waiting for a reply. I was focused now more than ever to get my mate and my pups away from that sick twisted bastard. If he thought for one second that he would mark my woman, he is sadly mistaken. I didn’t tell the girls what it meant when werewolves mate because that would only make them worry more and I needed them focused in order for us to get Ji’lahni back and we will get her back I said with death and determination in my eyes. I refuse to allow alpha Zane to take my mates or my pups away from me. He will pay for what he has done with is his life. Ji’lahni hold on baby I’m coming for you.
