Ji’lahni POV:

Well, that didn’t go well I thought as the doc paced back and forth talking to himself. I told him everything that happened at my dinner with Zane. The color drained from his face as he continued pacing and talking to himself ever since. “Hey, would you calm down you’re making me dizzy with all the pacing.? I said taking a deep breath. The doc stopped abruptly. “Tell me again are you absolutely certain that Alpha Zane knows the babies can use their aura through you?” “I’m pretty sure I know he knows that I wouldn’t be able to push him that far. And the weirdest thing happened, when I told them to try not to use their aura, I could’ve sworn I heard them whine and groaned.” I said as the doc looked at me with shock. “This is extraordinary pups can’t mind link until after they shift for the first time and no wolf has ever mind linked with a human before. It seems that wolf and human DNA are breaking everything we know to be true in our werewolf community.” The doc said, excitedly.

“You know I was just thinking the same thing Doc.” Alpha Zane said as he was standing by the door. We both jumped up at the sound of his voice and neither of us noticed him enter the room. Casually walking in followed by his guards circling us. I instantly feel for my knives I had in my pocket that I stole when the servant brought the cake out with the food. “Doc I’m very disappointed with you. I brought you here unharmed and you show your gratitude by withholding valuable information about my mate and our pup or should I say pups.” Zane said smiling evilly. Right before one of his guards jumped at the doc but the doc surprisingly dodged and fought really well but he was outnumbered, and a guard sneak a punch from behind. I decided to help because I knew that Zane told them I was off limits. I ran to the guard holding doc and slide my stolen knife out of my pocket hoping Zane doesn’t see it. I didn’t want to get it taken away.

So, I decided to do it prison style stabbed him several times in the side until he let doc go and as soon as he did doc was able to fight the remaining guards while standing between them and me. Zane walks casually over to us. “ENOUGH!” He says that makes his guards stop instantly and drop to their knees except me and doc who seems like he’s struggling like something is holding him in place. Looking bored at doc and me. “Doc why are you fighting my aura command it will only cause you more pain. So why not just drop to your knees and bare your throat in submission.” He said but doc didn’t drop to his knees. "Very well have it your way. Since my mate is seeming to have Inherited our pups aura, I will also make her submit as well.” He said stepping closer the look in docs eyes shows panic. “NO! Ill submit. Just leave my Luna out of this.” Doc said desperately.

I don’t know what all this submit and baring necks foolery they have going on, but I wants no parts of it. Because I don’t submit bow or bare anything to anybody, so I know for sure I’m not who he’s talking about. “It's too late. Now both of you SUBMIT!” He growled I look over and see the doc fall to his knees with a cry in pain baring his neck to Zane. Then I feel this like something was crawling on my skin like weighs being put on my shoulder. My babies began to squirm, and I instantly put my hands on my belly to protect and calm them. I then feel the weight lift of my shoulders as Zane stares at me with a shocked expression. He moved in from of me with his eyes instantly changing to his wolf’s burnt orange color. “I said SUBMIT!” He growled loudly and whatever he was doing forced me to stumble back but I righted myself before I fall.

But the weight on my shoulders were back but much heavy this time causing me to gasp at the heaviness and my babies are now moving like crazy and I hear them crying before I felt this force push out of me and hit the alpha square in his chest forcing him backwards. Just then he let out a roar as he got back up half shifted. I still was confused by what the hell was happening, but my babies were now moving so much it felt like they were clawing at my insides trying to get out. Zane stalked to me with his fangs sticking out of his mouth and his claws extended as he jumped directly in front of me and he his eyes glowed red. “You will bow to me and bare your neck.” His said with so much force that I felt instant pain in my bully which made me grabbed my stomach as the pain overtakes my body and I fall to the floor Doc screamed something to me, but I couldn’t hear pass the pain. All I could hear was my babies crying out loudly this time. Right before my WATER BROKE!

MAKAHI POV:

Running through the forest my anxiety grew and the feeling of dread only grew. I couldn’t reach my pups any longer. I’m hoping it’s because they are safe. Seeing the chopper up ahead I open my link to the team to tell them to pick up the pace so we can head to the drop off point. I see Montego on guard snapping his head in our direction once he scents us coming, we were still pretty far away. He grabs a bag filled with clothes for us to change into once we shift and runs to meet us. As soon as I shift back to my human form I’m forced to my knees as a piercing sound explodes in my head and I drop to my knees holding my head and I glance up and see my entire pack and others grab their heads and fall. All I can hear are the cries of what has to be my pups. And an instant it went silent again. Lynn Shawna and mina makes it to us. “Are you ok? What happened?” Lynn asked Montego who looked like a ghost.

“I don’t know. I have never experienced anything like it before.” Looking at me. “Was that the babies?” I nodded Tears running down my face because I felt emptiness and that could only mean one thing. My men rallied around me and knelt at what it all could mean. The girls looking around confused at what we’re doing. “Can somebody clue the human folks in on what’s happening?” Lynn said stepping into our circle standing in front of me and Montego. “We all heard the babies cry out and then it stopped suddenly, and the feeling just snapped.” He says hugging Lynn who shrugs out of his arms. “What the hell does that me just spit it out?” Shawna demanded. Shadow pulling her into his arms. “It means their gone.” He said barely above a whisper. I fell to my knees and broke. The girls looking around us with shocked disbelief.

“HELL NO! This is some bullshit… They’re not dead. They’re not dead.” They repeated as they dodged anyone, they that tried to comfort them. Lynn walked up to me and grabbed her phone from my neck and the girls headed back to the chopper. When we finally got to the chopper, we see the girls running off into the forest they had their gear on. “WHAT FUCK!” Montego ran towards them. With me following. “LYNN STOP! What are you are you doing? Let’s got back to the chopper we are going to continue to search and recover.” Montego and shadow both tried to stop the girls. They stopped dead in their tracks and turned and smack them across the face. “How dare you put that into the universe.’ Shawna said storming off we all stood in shock because out of all the girls Shawna was the least crazy. Quickly snapping out of our daze.

We race behind the girls trying to convince them to follow us back to the chopper they ignored us completely damn they were stubborn as hell. Just then they all stop at once looking at Lynn and we almost ran into the back of them. Following their line of sight. I see they phone Lynn is holding going off in her hand. They all started hugging and crying and smiling in excitement. They turned to face us showing us their phone. My heart broke apart again knowing they were that close, and I couldn’t get to them in time to save them. “Don’t you know what this means?” Lynn says to me. “It means that I failed my mate and my pups that I couldn’t reach them in time.” I said my wolf clawing inside my head in pain. “What! No dumb ass that means we have found them they are close.” They smiled hugging each other. Now running following the directions on the phone. I looked to Montego and pleaded with him to tell them because I don’t think I could. He nodded. He called to the girls as we walked to catch up.

“Lynn baby I know you want to find Ji’lahni, but you need to be ready for what you’re about to walk into. We told you that they’re gone honey.” He said walking up to Lynn to hug her. She stepped back looking at us she must have realized something because she walked up to me and touched my face. I hear Montego growl and she narrowed her eyes at him and gestured him to come closer He walked up to her and wrapped his arms around her. She turned back to me. “Makahi those chips that we have in our bodies is kinda of like a life alert if our hearts stopped that sound would fade as our bodies grow cold and beeping is strong there is no sign that its fading, she said holding it up for me to hear and then she taps the screen and another sound beep strongly.

“See they sound that same and what you're hearing now is Mina, and she is a lot of things but dying or dead isn’t one of them. “She smiles at the look of shock on my face. “You mean they’re alive?” I asked in disbelief. Walking up to me Smiling. “Yes, now get your ass in gear so we can search and RESCUE my cousin so we can get home and I can take a nice long bath.” Shawna said cutting her eyes at Shadow. Opening my mind link I tell everyone back at the chopper to grab the gear and catch up as I shifted Montego Shadow and Hunter put the girls on their backs and we take off in the directions of my mate. I opened my mind link further to see if I could reach my pups again, but I got nothing not even the doc, but I focused on what Lynn told me about their chips and I pray that she’s right and she’s alive.
