Shawna's awake!

Shawna's POV:

Why the hell does it feel like I'm sleeping on rocks I swear I'm getting another bed to sleep on because this is not working out. I groaned as I opened my eyes to see a whole bunch of people standing around like it is some kind of gathering or backyard party. I know I didn't get drunk and pass out because Lahni will never let me hear the end of it. I frown because no backyard party I have ever been to have this many people standing around yelling at each other like they were about to start a war. What the hell is going on around here? I looked around and see my cousins who looked pissed and afraid. I look to the person they were arguing with because drunk or not, the bitch they were arguing with won't see me coming if she wants smoke with my family.

I looked at the dudes standing in front of me looking like they are in the military and well built. They are armed with knives on their belts. I was already planning to snag a knife off one of them to use. I looked back at the bitch my cousin was talking to and that's when I saw her. The bitch who stabbed me, and almost killed me and my baby, that's when everything came back in a rush, and I am fucking pissed. I feel a little weak so I already know I will have to throw the knife to disable her, because I don't think I will have the time nor the strength for a chest or head shot.

Looking around, I needed a distraction in order to strike and then try to get away, taking a deep breath, fuck it I'll just have to wing it. Oh well, folks I'm sure yall know what I'm about to say so I won't even bother, we will just see how this shit turns out. “Well damn, yall couldn't even give me a damn bed, box cot, or even a bale of hay or something, I had to wake up like this. I was stabbed by my man's ex protecting our babies and yall just have me leaning against a damn tree.” I said and used their distraction to grab the one guy's knife and threw it as hard as I could, and it hit the dead bitch in the thigh.

I grabbed both the dudes nuts then pulled them down as hard as I could and they screamed like church choir sopranos on Sundays, they fell to the ground wallowing like pigs. Then I started crawling away as fast as I could towards my cousins, I didn't try to get up and run, I figured I wouldn't be stable on my feet because I didn't know how long I was unconscious. So, army crawling it is. I refuse to be the girl in the scary woods who runs and falls breaking my ankle running away from the killer in all scary movies. So best believe if I die it won't be because of stupid shit like running and falling. I love my cousins because they didn't waste time, they reacted knowing they need to keep them busy so I would have a chance to get the hell away from these crazy bitches.

I mean damn you got a pregnant bitch who had us kidnapped over some dick, then you got a bitch coming back from the dead for the dick. They dicks got females losing they damn minds over them. I mean don't get me wrong Shadow got the dick that might make you fight a bitch or two, but coming back from the dead dick, I can't say it's that good. I mean his dick is literally raising the dead out here in these woods. So, imagine how good that thang got to be. Anyway, lets focus before yall get me killed. I was halfway to my cousins when the old hag with the magic fingers saw me and yelled for someone to grab me. Then all of a sudden, I was being drag in the wrong fucking direction. I started screaming and the first name that came to my mind was…"SHADOW!” I yelled as I tried to dig my nails into the ground trying to at least slow them down so somebody can save my ass.

Shadow's POV:

I needed to get to Shawna these fucking rogues are somehow stronger than before, still no match for us but they are slowing us down. It’s like they are on something, they're more feral and wilder than they are usual. I can't believe Shawna took a risk like that after she literally just woke up from being on unconscious. When I get my hands on her we are going to have a long talk on what not to do while pregnant. “What the fuck are these fuckers hyped up on?” Ji'lahni said, as she used her crossbow and her gun protecting the alpha's body while the alpha ripped heads off from the front, they were in sync just as an alpha and true Luna should be. “I don't know but it's time to end this. That witch is somehow controlling them or using magic giving them extra power, we have to take her ass out or wound her.” Mina said as she shot another rogue that tried to attack hunter's wolf.

“You ain't said nothing but a word, just make sure she can't use her magic to hit me. Every time she tries to use her magic, throw your throwing stars to attack her. Diego baby, I got this trust me, ok? I need you to run as fast as you can towards the witch, and I'll do the rest.” Lynn said before Diego roared and raced full speed towards the witch. Just like she thought, the witch saw Diego running towards her, and try to lift her hand to release her magic on Diego and Lynn, but the alpha and Ji'lahni ran towards her while Ji'lahni fired shots from both her gun and her cross bow, Mina and hunter also went in and attacked before the witch could fire on the alpha and Ji'lahni. It looked like they have been training together for years instead of a few months of absolutely no training. As for me, I was ripping rogues throats out that tried to stop me from reaching Shawna. She was crawling through rogue bodies, not stopping, or pausing at all.

She was crawling and checking her surrounding when our eyes met for a split second just before she changes direction and started to head towards me. That made Rane roar in satisfaction that she trusted us to protect her. Rane was more eager to get to Shawna now and started killing rogues left and right in order to get to our Shawna, we had to reach her because she was depending on us, and I refuse to let her down this time. As soon as I rip the throat out of the last two rogues blocking my path, I made a beeline straight to Shawna and I was stopped in my track as my mate stepped into my path both me and Shawna looked up at the same time, she looked at me and all I saw was sadness in her face remembering what happened the last time Shaid was between us.

But I wouldn't fail her and my pup again, I can't lose them even if it means losing my life in the process because they were worth it. “Well, this is sad, we're mates, you're supposed to be with me, why didn't you just come with me when I asked you. We could've just left, we could have been happy together away from all this, but you just couldn't leave that filthy human woman.” Shaid said as she slowly walked towards me. Rane growled and shifted back to human form, if I'm going to this then I need to do it as me. “What happen to you Scar why are you doing this. We could have gotten you help the doc could have found a way to help you.” I pleaded one last time the mate I once knew deserved that much. But she only laughed.

“Oh, please don't you get it by now, I'm a vampire you fool. I am not your mate I guess I just look like her.” She said with a shrug. “What are you talking about you are my mate I don't know what that witch has done to you or what she has told you, but you are my mate. Just help me get Shawna out of here and I promise we will figure it out together. Just don't do this don't make me… "I trailed off just as I heard Shawna screamed and yelled. “SHADOW!” I immediately started to run to Shawna. I was punched in the side of the head by my mate. “Shit Scar don't make me do this.” I said as I dodged her punches.

I have to admit she was pretty damn good. “Well, I guess you’ve made your choice it's a shame you won't be saving that human whore. But I will let you watch while I drain her dry.” Shaid said as she jumped and kicked at my head, I caught her leg and threw her to the ground. I was done playing. “Well, it looks like my mate has finally grown some balls. Well, this should be fun.” She said as she charged at me. Although I always fight with Rane in control, I'm not going to this time my wolf is powerful, but I was an excellent fighter in my human form as well. I mastered as Taekwondo, Jujitsu, Muay Thai and kickboxing. “Hey, stop bragging and get to our Shawna.” Rane said in my subconscious. “So, you're ok with fighting our mate.” I asked. “Our mate is sick and is threatening our Shawna and pup they come first.” He said sadly both of us not liking what we are about to do.
