MAKAHI POV:

"So, once they make the changes I noted in the contract, we can set up a date and time to finalize our agreement." I said to Shadow and Montego. "Ok I'll make sur...." Montego was saying when all of a sudden, we heard yelling. "What the hell are those those.... Those. half breeds doing here?" "Wait what? What did she just call our babies? Please repeat it just so we're all clear. Because we don't want any misunderstandings." We looked at each other wide eyed. "SHIT SUMMER!!!" We said jumping up running out because all hell was about to break loose. We were at the top of the stair when we saw Summer and Brit let their wolves come forward and the girls getting up reaching behind them for their knives. SHIT why were they are always strapped.

We all broke out into a run catching summer and Brit who were in midair before they could attack and by then the girls had pulled a second knife from somewhere waiting for Summer and brit to attack. Montego and I grabbed Summer and Brit while Shadow blocked the girls from attacking. "DAD TAKE THE TWINS IN THE DINING HALL!" I yelled. He quickly gathered them up and exited the room. While I was distracted Summer used that opportunity to swing at Lynn who saw the attack and countered with a swipe of her own with her knife cutting Summer's forearm. She cried out in pain. Montego reacted on instinct alone to protect his Luna and grabbed Lynn by the throat. Lynn eyes grew wide with shock and hurt.

Montego's wolf had come forward his eyes were dark blue almost black. I grabbed Summer and placed her and Brit behind me. "Don't move!" I said using my alpha command to ensure they didn't attack again. Turning to the girls who were yelling at Montego to let Lynn go. I approached Montego quickly. "Your Luna is safe." I said and Montego's wolf receded instantly, and his eyes changed back to their bright blue. He quickly gasped. "Lynn baby." he said quickly letting her go. She backed away from him when he reached for her. "Don't touch me." She choked out as she rubbed her neck where his handprint was already visible.

Montego looked like he wanted to break down as he stared at her helplessly pleading for her to understand. But she was human and will not understand stand he had little control as a beta. He is bonded to protect his alpha and Luna him and Lynn weren't mated yet, so he reacted on pure instinct. "I want that bitch arrested now she attacked me." Summer yelled coming forward once the girls walked Lynn back to the sofa and was whispering asking her if she was good and what she wanted them to do. But Lynn didn't say a word her eyes were on Montego in disbelief hurt and sadness. Then her face changed in an instant and her face was now devoid of emotion.

She finally broke eye contact and looked at the girls saying she's good. Montego looked like someone had punched him in the chest. "What the hell is going on?" I asked trying to break the tension I could hear the twins starting to get fussy. "Didn't you hear what I just said. They attacked me!" Summer sneered as she still held her arm which I know is probably healed already. I looked at the girls on the sofa. Who obviously took their cue from Lynn because now they looked as if they had no emotion at all they were silent. "Lynn, would you like to say something in your defense." I asked since she was the one Summer accused of attacking her. Lynn looked at me and raised a brow. Shaking her head in disbelief.

"Does it matter. Everybody in this room knows your mate and her friend are bat shit crazy. You also know she finds every opportunity to run her fucking mouth about my family. She came in here disrespecting YOUR kids and my nieces calling them half breeds do you know how racist that is to say about babies. Unlike you and your guards." She said throwing a disappointing look at Montego then back at me. " We refuse to let anyone feel like they can disrespect our babies I don't give a fuck who they are. She swung at me, and I reacted. We're human and yall are wolves. We're at a disadvantage so we have to protect ourselves by any means necessary. You can arrest me if you want but have someone else do it I don't want nobody in this room to touch me." She said sitting back on the sofa crossing her arms over her chest not looking at any of us.

"See she confessed have a guard come and take them to the cellars." Summer yelled, holding her arm crying dramatically. "Summer, we heard everything from my office. You disrespected not only my pups but their nieces. I will not punish them for protecting my pups. Lastly you have one more time to mention using my pups as test subjects, your punishment will be far worse." I said, as Maka also came forward and my eyes flash silver and a growl erupted from my chest. Summer whimpered and backed away from me. " Well at least make them leave the pack house. I don't feel safe with them in here and you’re not here to protect me." Summer cried. I breathed loudly.

"You don't have to worry I'm leaving anyway I'll just move my stuff at a vacant house and stay at the clinic with the babies and Ji’lahni." Lynn said, responding before I could. "No! Please baby. You can't do that. let's talk about this. You can't leave me like this. Please baby let me explain." Montego pleaded his eyes were wild and filled with emotion and panic. When Lynn volunteered to leave the pack house. She didn't show any emotion at his pleads or even respond. "Yea, I think we should all leave we just want to wait until Ji’lahni is up and make a decision on what we will to do." Shawna said staring at Shadow who growled and balled his fist. "I'll get the pups ready to take back to the clinic." Shadow said walking into the dining room.

I needed to get the girls back to the clinic its almost time for them to go down for a nap. "Summer, you go up to my room and don't come out until I get back. Brittany you are dismissed for the rest of the day do not enter the pack house until tomorrow." I said eyeing them both using my alpha command so there is no question. Britney scurried out without a word and Summer tried fighting my command, but she knew it was pointless. And reluctantly left the room. I turned back to the girls on the sofa. "There is a house that is vacant two houses down from the clinic you can stay there. I'll have some guards show you where it is and get you settled." I said glancing at a now silent Montego who's staring at Lynn trying to will her to look at him, but she refuses. I sighed and head in the direction of the dining room where the girls are.

"Alpha Makahi I would like to have a couple of hours to pack my things alone. Can you please ask your Beta to give me time to pack my things and be out of his room?" Lynn asked. Montego's gasped and took a step back like he was punched. I felt so bad for my best friend. But if he had any chance, he needed to give Lynn time. Looking at Montego I knew he would not allow her to leave without a fight. Sighing I mind linked my dad and Shadow telling them to take the girls back to the clinic and have my mom put the girls down for their naps. Once they responded I turned to Montego and stepped in from of him blocking his view. only then does he snap out of his daze.

"Hey, let's head to my office to set up the meeting to finalize the agreement with the Silverstone pack." I said, Montego made a move to step around me I held my hand up to stop him and shake my head. He visibly sagged and lowered his head in defeat. I turned us both towards the stairs and bounding up the steps to my office glancing back to the sofa as the girls were getting up. Lynn, who showed no emotion a second ago is now crying silently rubbing her neck as the girls hugged her and walked her quickly out of the room. Turning back to Montego who also glanced back at the girls and saw Lynn breakdown and rubbing her bruised neck. And he let the tears fall. And I escorted him into my office.
