The beta was pacing back and forth while Montego and Shadow lounged on the patio chairs. Once they scented us the beta rushed towards Ji’lahni, but I quickly pulled her to me and growled. He stopped abruptly looking at me then looked at Ji’lahni. “Baby, are you OK? Did he.” I growled taking a step towards him. “Montego will show you to your room at the pack house where you will be staying while you’re here.” I said glancing at Montego seeing him hop up heading in our direction. The beta looked at me in surprise. “What are you talking about, my things are already in Ji’lahni’s room.” I moved pass Lahni so fast she didn’t have time to react as I lift the beta up by the throat as Maka came forward. “Unless you want me to ship pieces of your body back to my uncle you will never touch my mate or my pups again. The Beta tried to fight my aura, but he was a beta after all. Once he nodded, I dropped him abruptly, he dropped to his knees baring his neck angrily. Satisfied, Maka receded, and I realize just then Ji’lahni punching the arm that held the beta. “What? It wasn’t me.” I smiled shrugging as Shadow helped the beta up off the ground. Just let Montego show you to your room and I’ll come to the pack house tomorrow for breakfast and we can talk about this.” Lahni said coming close to him but careful not to touch him. He wanted to say something but just nodded as Montego escorted him to the pack house and Shadow went in to grab his bags, which were right by the door. He removed them knowing that the beta wasn’t staying in there but didn’t know if he would be shipping them back to my uncle’s pack along with his body or not.

Once we stepped into the house, we were greeted by screaming babies with Mina and Lynn pacing and bouncing them, Shawna escaped with Shadow. “They must have missed you more than I thought they would. I’m so sorry, I should have thought about the fact that you were practically a single parent while I was in that coma so of course they were attached to you. I’m so sorry Kahi if I had known.” She said crying. “Stop it baby. You did what you thought was best. I let a tear fall taking in the fact that I have finally got my family back and I will do whatever I needed to do to make sure she never feels like she has to run away from me to protect our pups or her family again.
