Makahi. POV:

“Damnit! We’ve been made!” I was able to reach Doc and I told him to head East. We just need to keep the East side clear and head in that direction to meet Doc and Ji’lahni. Team two I need you to keep the path from here to the chopper clear and as safe as possible, because once we reach them, we will have guards on our tails. So, I need three of y’all in the trees with the rifles, once you see us coming your way take out as many guards as you can, once we make it pass the gates, you get your ass to your team, and help them clear the path to the chopper. The rest of yall follow me and watch your back.” glancing at the women still on the backs of Montego, Shadow, and Hunter with calm focus which is kinda of scary and bad ass considering they are surrounded by wolves and heading in the direction of wolves who will want to rip their throats out. “I don’t suppose I could get you women to head back to the copper until we return?” I asked hoping they would listen for once. “I feel like you’re joking because you should know better by now. You have no excuse asking dumb ass questions so please stop wasting time and let’s go.” Mina said. As she and the others snapped their belts that Lynn made to wrap around their wolves to ensure they don’t get thrown off.

Lynn is very resourceful she literally thought of everything to give us an advantage. She told the guys before we left the chopper that to ensure that they don’t hinder them during the fight that all they needed to do is attack and give them a clear shot and they will make sure they aren’t attacked from the back. They had guns and magazines strapped to themselves and their wolves the guys seem to not notice the difference and they looked secure. “Ok let’s go they are coming this way.” I yelled and shifted as the first wave of guards came at us as we headed in the direction of the doc and Ji’lahni. The guards went in for an attack thinking that had the upper hand because of the women my wolves had on their backs, so they charged at them first which was their first mistakes because it allowed me to rip the throats out of four wolves before they even noticed me.

I saw out the corner of my eye that the women and their wolves were in sync and worked as a team like they have been doing it for years. Every bullet they fired were kill shots. Lynn had throwing stars that she rotated between that and her gun they all had cross bows on their backs with the bows strapped to their wolf. Although Shadow didn’t need help, he was ripping necks out on the first attack which he was able to do since he didn’t have to worry about getting attacked from behind because Shawna was handing out head shots from all around her, she was so confident that she didn’t even bother to check to make sure her target was down. We made it to the east side of the house where an emergency door was located it was locked. “S*** it’s locked, and more guards are headed this way. I said aloud I had shifted once I reached the door hoping that it was unlocked but it is never that easy.

“Move!” Lynn said as she pulled her handgun out and shot the door knob off and it popped open. “Abracadabra! See magic, it opened right up.” She said with a smile as the other girls laughed. "You go, and we’ll cover the entrance, so no one goes in after you. Just get my cousin and our babies out of there.” Shawna said. I nodded my head as I rushed in to find my mate and my pups, reaching out opening my mind link. “Hey doc where the hell are you? I’m in the house now.” I mind linked the doc "Alpha we have a problem the Luna is having contractions and we are moving slower than expected. We have to stop every time she has a contraction.” The doc mind linked I almost tripped over my feet at what he just said. My pups are coming! Snapping out of my thoughts.

“Just keep heading in this direction and we should meet up and tell Ji’lahni don’t she dare have my pups without me in this godforsaken place.” I said picking up speed this house was huge, and it seems as though the further I ran it was leading below ground like a tunnel just as I round the corner, I see six guards heading right at me. I shift into Maka as soon as they reached me the tunnel wasn’t really big and that worked in my favor, so I didn’t have to worry about them surrounded me. These wolves were young and inexperienced I made it pass them with barely a scratch. I allow Maka to keep control so we can move faster in this form, and we can discard wolves as we go. I heard a piercing scream that I knew was Ji’lahni, Maka picked up speed as more wolves charged in our direction. Maka was almost feral with his need to protect our mate and pups. He was ripping the wolves' throats out one by one barely giving them time to strike one blow. He had one single thought Ji’lahni.

Ji’lahni POV:

“How much further do we have. Seems like we have been walking forever. Who the hell thought it was a good idea to put a damn ten-mile tunnel in here.” I said trying to stay calm and breathe so the babies won’t freak out and start trying to come out too early. But I can hear growls and howls that sounded dangerously close. Trying to speed up wasn’t an option at the moment because the pressure and weight of my stomach wasn’t lite. “We have to hurry the alpha is in the building headed our way. He said to not have his pups without him.” The doc said trying to keep the urgency out of his voice. “Yea well tell him we can trade places and he can carry the two babies.” I said holding my belly trying to relieve some of this pressure and I had to pee something serious. I already peed a little early, lucky enough I had started wearing pads for leakage.

We were passing another tunnel something lifts the doc off his feet and threw him backwards towards me barely missing me I almost lost my footing getting out of the way. “Where you going to leave without saying Good-Bye.” Zane said blocking our path to freedom. “Now can I panic?” I whispered to the doc as he got up and put himself in front of me. I felt my babies start to move again and I know they are reacting to my fear. So, I tried breathing deeply to calm my nerves. “Doc, are you willing to die for a human?” “She’s not just a human she is carrying my future Alpha. I will not allow you to hurt them.” The Doc said as he prepared to defend me with his life. Zane shrugs his shoulders. “Suit yourself.” He said as he charged at Doc.

The Doc pushed me out of the way just as Zane attacked, he managed to dodge or block most of Zane’s attack which was smart because, Doc knew he was no match for Zane, so he was trying to give Kahi enough time to reach us. Tired of the Doc’s games he charged at him and as soon as the doc went to dodge the attack Zane switched at the last second and swiped across the Docs chest. At that moment they both shift into their wolves with Zane being a lot bigger than the doc. I could no longer remain calm my fear for doc spiked with the feeling of doubt that I won’t be able to escape this hell hole. My breathing picked up and the babies began to move. I heard the Doc yelp as Zane’s teeth barely misses the docs throat and bit into his shoulder. I had to cover my scream because I didn’t want to distract doc in any way. Where the hell are you Kahi the doc is injured now, and I know he can’t keep him busy much longer.

Just then Zane caught the doc by the leg and threw him against the wall. All I heard was a thud because they were now facing forward Zane half shifted back to human he bent down to grab doc by the throat and lifted him up in the air. “I’ll be sure to tell your alpha that you put up a fight not a good one, but you get death for effort.” Zane said like the typical villain. So, I guess all villains are just like on TV. I on the other hand, was about to do something really stupid, and I’m sure I am going to regret this. But I can’t let doc die for me. I slip the knife I had tucked in my waist out and slowly approach Zane as he held doc, like he was an Oscar award trophy.

When I got close enough, I reached up as high as I could and stabbed him three times near his heart. I knew the knife wasn’t long enough to reach his heart so I made sure to at least slow him down and cause as much damage as I can with three strikes. Zane dropped, Doc and roar from the knife wounds turned and backhanded me across the face. See I told y’all I would regret it. Zane grabbed me by the neck and slammed me against the wall. The pain in my back and getting choked wasn’t a part of the plan.

“How dare you betray me after everything that I have done for you. Even with my life slipping away I still looked at him like he was crazy. All of a sudden, I felt a contraction hit me so hard that I managed to scream even with Zane’s hands around my throat. His eyes widen in shock right before some invisible force threw him away from me so hard, he cracked the wall. Everything happened so fast but in slow motion. I felt myself falling to the ground but somehow, I didn’t hit the floor I felt strong arms pull me close. I was still dazed, and I thought I was still dreaming because it wasn’t the doc holding me, but it was Makahi.
