Let Me Go, Mr. Howard Chapter 191
Virella Island Airport.
Sebastian, who had just arrived in Seraphim, had no idea someone was making fun of him.
As soon as he landed, he turned on his phone. There was no reply from Teddy, but Sebastian knew the other party had already started taking action.
This time he was traveling alone.
Taking the airport's business shuttle to the vineyard winery, the car had just stopped at the estate entrance when two Seraphim men approached, swaying slightly with their hands on their waists.
"Sir, may I help you?"
One of them, a long-faced man with brown hair, spoke first in decent English.
He sized up this Lumaria man who clearly wasn't ordinary. The Russo family wasn't poor, and he could tell at a glance that the watch on the man's wrist was worth four million dollars, and his clothes were high-end designer pieces.
So when he asked, he deliberately softened his tone. If this guy was here to discuss business and the deal fell through because of his attitude, Marco would kill him.
Sebastian was a bit taller than him. He lowered his eyes, glanced down, and straightened his slightly wrinkled coat, saying in Seraphine, "I'm here to see Marco Russo."
Hearing that he was here for Marco and even spoke Seraphine, the two men immediately became alert.
"Who are you?"
Sebastian knew they had guns and didn't rashly move forward. He just answered quietly, "I'm Sebastian Howard, but I think you'd be more familiar with my other name, Jacob."
Jacob?
How could they not be familiar with that name? Marco mentioned it in front of them every day, saying his poor sister had given birth to a child who was being raised at his grandfather's house in Lumaria.
They immediately looked up and down at the tall Lumaria man before them, and one of them immediately went back to report.
"Still don't believe me?"
Sebastian raised his eyebrows slightly, looking at the man still blocking his way.
The man swallowed, about to speak, when a vigorous shout came from behind: "Jacob!"
Sebastian immediately looked toward him, his cold expression softening with a hint of a smile. "Uncle Marco."
His behavior was reserved, but that couldn't stop Marco from being an energetic, romantic Seraphim man.
The other man rushed over like a cannonball and hugged Sebastian.
They were about the same height, but Marco still wanted to lift Sebastian up like a child.
"Alright, alright, Uncle Marco, I've been on a plane for almost seven hours." Sebastian patted Marco's shoulder lightly, his tone full of helplessness.
Hearing he was tired, Marco immediately invited him inside.
The vineyard looked somewhat bare in winter, but the estate was so large, and there were other winter-hardy plants near the main building, so it didn't look too bad.
"Olivia! Olivia! Look who's here!"
As soon as Marco entered the main building, he started shouting, but there was no one on the first floor. He could only grip the staircase railing and shout toward the open space upstairs.
"Hey, Uncle Marco, enough. I actually have something I need your help with."
Sebastian stood at the entrance to the indoor conservatory, watching Marco carry on like this. He felt helpless but amused, with a hint of nostalgia rising in his heart.
"Don't say that, Jacob. We can talk business anytime, we're not in a hurry." Marco couldn't get anyone to come down, so he just walked into the conservatory.
Fortunately, the conservatory had all the amenities, and flower tea had already been brewed.
"Oh my God, I still can't believe you actually came back." Marco poured himself a cup of flower tea. The steam from the tea rose up, leaving some droplets on his mustache, but he was completely unaware, still chattering away.
In his ears was Marco's rambling, and at his nose was the sweet scent of flower tea. Everything seemed to return to childhood.
Even Sebastian couldn't help but show a gentle smile in his eyes.
"Look at you, you look just like your father!" Marco started talking about Sebastian's appearance again.
He leaned in closer, noticing Sebastian's eyes, shaking his head with his fingers moving too. "God, that friend of yours wasn't lying, your eyes really are just like mine."
Hearing this, Sebastian looked over and raised his eyebrows slightly. "Indeed."
"I remember the first time I saw you, you were just a baby." Marco said with a smile, pretending to hold a child and rocking back and forth, his tone gradually becoming wistful. "But now, look at you, all grown up."
Sebastian took a sip of flower tea, his eyes darkening slightly.
They chatted about some past events, but basically it was all Marco talking.
Although Marco acted like they hadn't seen each other in years, the uncle and nephew actually chatted quite often, just usually through messages, almost never video calls.
Marco often shared interesting things, but Sebastian's side never did.
The Howard family atmosphere was a bit too serious, requiring one to keep emotions hidden no matter what.
After chatting for a while, they finally got down to business.
"Your friend just left. Are you here for the same thing?" Marco ate a cookie and asked.
"Pretty much." Sebastian didn't deny it.
His fingers rested on the edge of the teacup, sliding gently. "I have a child."
As soon as these words came out, Marco next to him instantly sprayed out his tea.
Marco choked badly. While taking the tissue Sebastian handed him, he asked, "What?"
Marco wiped the water from his mouth, his eyes wide open, looking around, leaning in closer. "When did this happen? Why didn't you tell me?"
Sebastian's expression paused slightly. "Recently, just got her pregnant."
Marco realized this was real, then thought about what they'd been discussing earlier, and frowned. "Is something wrong with the child?"
"It's the child's mother." Sebastian sighed slightly and told him everything.
Hearing this, Marco's expression became complicated.
He'd said long ago that if Sebastian was sent back to Lumaria to be raised, he'd definitely be raised wrong.
Look at this, Sebastian didn't even know how to pursue someone.
As a romantic Seraphim man, Marco was a bit frustrated.
But Sebastian didn't know what his uncle was complaining about in his mind. He was still talking about wanting to borrow some people to go with him to Calvessa.
But Marco, who usually responded to his requests immediately, didn't reply this time.
"Uncle Marco?"
Sebastian asked, puzzled.
Marco snapped back to attention. He looked up at Sebastian, sizing him up again—handsome and wealthy, how could he possibly fail to win over a girl?
After thinking it over, Marco figured it was because Sebastian didn't know how to talk.
Actually, he'd wanted to correct Sebastian's problem of being too quiet for a long time, but unfortunately Sebastian was in Lumaria, and they rarely had chances to meet, especially after Sebastian took over his grandfather's estate—he was even busier.
"Good boy, I'll give you the manpower, but I'm coming with you too."
Marco wanting to get involved was something Sebastian hadn't expected.
He frowned slightly, though somewhat reluctant, he still agreed. After all, he was asking Marco for help.
