Let Me Go, Mr. Howard Chapter 260

"Who were the other people?" Sebastian's tone was calm, obviously having reined in his temper from the previous shock, but his fingertips gripping the wine glass still remained pale.

Mark's voice stuttered slightly. "Not entirely clear yet, but according to the data, it should be connected to James. The visitor was a Lumaria male—the hospital initially thought he was Mr. Seymour's friend."

Sebastian's hand holding the wine glass had already relaxed, resting naturally on the counter, lightly tapping.

Sebastian's posture was relaxed, his expression calm and natural, but his eyelids were lowered, concealing the darkness in his eyes. He didn't interrupt Mark's speech, just maintained his original posture and listened quietly.

The phone was on speaker, placed on the counter, with Mark's voice continuing.

"But after Mr. Seymour met with that person, he clearly stated that the man wasn't his friend, and..." Mark's voice paused for a moment, but quickly continued. "After meeting with that person, Mr. Seymour clearly expressed wanting to see you."

"Wanting to see me? Why didn't he contact me immediately?" Sebastian narrowed his eyes, his previously calm voice becoming cold again.

In just an instant, Mark, on the other end of the phone, lowered his head.

He was still wearing pajamas, his hair disheveled, the drowsiness forcing him to rely on the coffee beside him to stay alive.

"Well, that person only went to the psychiatric hospital an hour ago. The hospital judged based on the time difference that this wasn't an appropriate time to disturb us."

Sebastian felt a breath stuck in his chest, suffocating, but could only mutter, "Any news in the future must be reported immediately!"

"I've already reminded them," Mark quickly replied.

"What about Mike?" Sebastian rubbed his temples. Though no longer sleepy, the lack of sleep was causing his head to throb.

Mark: "He's received the news and says he'll contact you as soon as possible."

Sebastian responded faintly, then said softly, "Alright, go sleep. Thanks for your hard work."

Rarely hearing concern from his boss, Mark was somewhat flattered. Just as he was about to speak, he heard his boss continue.

"By the way, I heard the Myers family girl and Chris have been quite active lately. Have someone remind them—if they leak any information they shouldn't to Scarlett, this year's bonuses will be withheld."

Mark's smile immediately dropped, but his voice remained steady without any change. "Understood, Mr. Howard."

Not long after hanging up, Sebastian received Michael's call.

Just as Scarlett had said, Michael's phone was currently turned off. The reason was to prevent those people from finding him, so now when they communicated, he used a new phone.

"Sebi."

Michael's voice was gentle and strong, clearly indicating he was in good condition.

Sebastian swirled the wine glass in his hand—he'd just poured another glass of whiskey and had only taken a sip. "Mike, someone leaked information to Letty."

Hearing this, Michael paused, then understood. "No wonder you had Mr. Rogers come inquire about the situation at this hour."

As he spoke, he turned to look out the window.

With Sebastian and the Seymour family's resources backing him, Michael's accommodation at the psychiatric hospital was quite good—he had a large flat ward to himself. If not for the furniture deliberately having sharp edges removed and the absence of any knives or porcelain, one couldn't tell the difference.

The sunlight was perfect now. Looking out the window, he could see the grass below with a large locust tree in the center and people walking underneath.

Michael's expression became slightly more restrained, and his voice also deeper. "They sent people to find me."

"Looks like they've discovered it." Sebastian raised an eyebrow.

Michael moved his wheelchair away from the window. He was wearing earphones, so the call wouldn't interfere with his use of both hands.

He poured himself a glass of water and used it to swallow the pills the nurse had just brought.

"Since they've revealed the information to Letty, it means they already have a plan." After swallowing the pills, Michael frowned slightly. "The variable might appear with Letty."

"If you ask me, you'd better call her." Sebastian took a deep breath, his voice slightly helpless.

Michael chuckled softly. "Call her? I'm afraid I won't be able to control myself from wanting to curse at her."

The air seemed to freeze for a moment. Sebastian's finger against the glass rim also stopped, then he frowned. "You would do that?"

"Who knows?" Michael sighed, his expression seeming both sad and hateful. "I've been having dreams lately, dreaming that she never came to the Seymour Villa. That way, my father, mother, and grandfather probably wouldn't have died."

Sebastian didn't speak, just downed a large gulp of alcohol.

When the glass was set down, it made a sound against the counter, with lingering vibrations.

"Mike, if that place doesn't work, I'll find somewhere else."

Michael shook his head. "At least I'm lucid, and those thoughts only appear in the dead of night."

"Who was the Lumaria man who came to find you?" Sebastian didn't want to delve into that topic and changed the subject with a flat tone.

"He's their agent—you can understand him as someone like Mr. Rogers." Michael frowned, trying hard to recall all the information about that person. "His name is Ken Myers, with unpredictable movements. It's hard to determine his exact whereabouts."

"That's all?" Sebastian was slightly dissatisfied. After waiting a moment and seeing that Michael had nothing to add, he continued. "Why did he find you? Don't tell me he wanted you to give them more information?"

"I didn't see him, but I guess he came to find me—probably to confirm something."

The two were longtime friends. Though separated for several years, their understanding had long been established. Therefore, as soon as Michael finished that sentence, Sebastian immediately understood what he wanted to say.

"Ah, that matters." He nodded thoughtfully. "Then let's go with the flow. They should contact you again."

The two talked for a while longer. Before hanging up, Michael asked a question.

"What was Letty's reaction?"

Sebastian was helpless. "She cried and thought I had you under house arrest."

Michael was stunned for a moment. "You didn't tell her?"

"No, some truths aren't suitable to tell her."

Michael slowly nodded, then, as if remembering something, smiled. "Then I'll have to trouble you to be the bad guy this time."

Sebastian was silent for a moment, his tone calm. "It's not the first time."

...

At dinner, the atmosphere at the table was somewhat strange.

Scarlett noticed Teddy's intermittent glances and frowned slightly, understanding this was another "instruction" from Sebastian.

She didn't want to pay attention and turned slightly to avoid Teddy's gaze.

Libbie showed no change, just kept urging her to eat more.

Marco only focused on eating throughout and didn't look at her at all.

Realizing that probably only Teddy was watching her, Scarlett couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief. If she had to be watched by three people at all times in the house, that would be a real nightmare.

After dinner, Scarlett went upstairs as usual, but when she reached the second floor, she heard footsteps behind her.

She thought it was Teddy and turned around impatiently.

But it was Marco following her.

Marco looked at her with a smile, his light amber eyes still bright. "If Letty wants to investigate something, I can help."
