Werewolf
Lycan's Mate (His Claim) Chapter 24
Fiona's POV
I turned my head to the left at the sound of the voice. I recognized him as one of the guys that was always around Blake. His name was Anthonio, if I remember correctly. He was quite handsome with his simple dark brown hair and light brown eyes. His arm was draped around Sara in a kind manner, and I couldn't help but smile at the gesture. I immediately knew that they were mates. How sweet.
"I'm Anthonio, by the way. As well as your future Beta," he said, bowing his head respectfully.
I turned around and stared into the brightest blue eyes I had ever seen. He had light brown hair and was extremely attractive, probably one of the most attractive guys in this school. He didn't compare to Blake who was sitting quietly to my right, but he was handsome nonetheless.
"That could've been my position, but Mr. Alpha here had to hand it to Mr. Wise Guy over there."
"Hello sugar, my name's Marcus." He sat down on the seat to my left and wrapped his arms around my shoulders, pressing me against his warm body. That was another thing I had found out, werewolves tended to be a lot warmer in temperature than regular humans.
"Wow, you are a lot prettier up close."
I heard a low, warning growl come from my right, no doubt from Blake. Marcus immediately removed his arm from around my shoulders and raised both hands in the air in defeat.
"You know I mean no harm, man. I know she's your mate. I was just greeting our future Luna, that's all."
Blake then wrapped his arm around my waist, pulling me against him and taking a deep breath. I felt his body calm down immediately and I couldn't help but look up at him. His eyes were a darker shade than their original color, so I had no doubt that he was fighting his wolf at the moment. It was actually pretty awesome how I had learned so much within a week about werewolves, even if it still surprised me that I was living among them.
"Nice way to greet her," he muttered under his breath, burying his face in my hair and taking deep breaths.
"So….how are you taking all of…." Sara trailed off, motioning with her hands around the room before she continued, "this?"
I shrugged my shoulders, a light blush filling my cheeks as all eyes were now suddenly on me. Even a pair that I had grown to dislike since I had arrived.
"I'm getting quite used to it, actually. It's a lot of things to take in, but it's fairly interesting," I said with a smile.
"Of course it would be. You're surrounded by damn werewolves that are quite good looking, if you ask me," Marcus said with a wink.
Blake had told me that he personally thought way too high of himself with the ladies and still had not found his mate yet. How funny.
I rolled my eyes, a small smile playing on my lips.
"You're not part of that category."
The whole table erupted into fits of laughter, even Marcus who had just been insulted.
"She's a feisty one. No wonder she's your mate." He shook his head and began to devour the large hamburger that was laying peacefully on his plate. I couldn't help but scrunch up my nose in disgust at the sight.
"Something wrong, Fiona?" Sara asked, clear worry evident in her green eyes.
I glanced down at Marcus's plate, a small frown forming on my lips.
"I'm not a meat lover."
"You're not?"
I shook my head.
"I'm a vegetarian."
The table became quiet all of a sudden, and I couldn't help but look up and stare at their faces. They each resembled one another, as if the same expression had been repeatedly multiplied and glued on them. Their mouths hung open slightly and their eyes had widened in surprise. I began to fidget uncomfortably under their heavy gaze. Weren't there other werewolves who were vegetarians? By the look on their faces, I already had my answer.
"Yup, she really is something, Blake," Marcus said with a smile, breaking the heavy silence that surrounded the table. He proceeded to his meal and I just had to look away once more.
"That's actually really interesting. I tried it once, but I ended up failing within a few hours after I made that choice," Sara said with a frown.
Anthonio laughed quietly beside her, squeezing her arm gently.
"You just couldn't resist the steak, could you?"
A small blush flushed against her fair skin as she looked away, clearly embarrassed.
"It was calling out to me." I couldn't help but smile at her response.
The table fell into mindless chatter as they all began their conversations with one another. I looked to my right, noticing that Blake was staring right at me with a small smile on his lips. "What?"
He chuckled, pulling me closer to him. "You handled that pretty well."
I smiled shyly, looking down at my hands intertwined on my lap. He leaned in and buried his face against my neck, making me shiver at his touch. I closed my eyes, fighting the moan that was begging to break loose as soon as I felt his lips kiss me gently. I felt a surge of heat erupt inside of me, my body responding immediately by inching closer to his own. It molded perfectly against his and I smiled when I heard the small growl that erupted from his throat. My mind was spinning a hundred miles an hour and all I could focus on were the luscious kisses that were being planted on my neck. I tilted my head to the left, allowing him better access. His grip tightened against my waist, closing in any distance that was still left between us (which I highly doubt was any because we were pretty much pressed against one another at this point).
This had to be one of the greatest feelings in the entire world. I never once ignored the tingling sensation that crawled along my skin as he kissed me. I merely welcomed it. My body was heating up faster with every kiss, erupting a pleasurable feeling inside of me that made me unwillingly think of lustful thoughts.
Suddenly, Blake pulled away from me, grabbing a hold of my hand and pulling me up from my seat. He practically dragged me out of the lunchroom and I could feel all eyes on us both. The second we exited through the doors, he pushed me against the wall and pressed his body against my own. I couldn't help but blush the second I felt that his friend downstairs was rock hard against me.
My breath came out in heavy pants as he tilted his head and proceeded back to kissing my neck. I automatically tilted my head in response as his lips seemed to linger for a longer period of time. He began to travel downward towards my collarbone, my body trembling in pleasure. I was surprised when I felt him nibble my skin gently, causing a moan to leave my quivering lips.
His body froze, his lips hovering over my skin as a low growl erupted from his chest. He pulled away, staring deeply into my eyes. I noticed they were pitch black, no doubt his wolf probably taking over briefly.
"You're too sexy for your own good, sweetheart." His voice was filled with lust in every word, and I couldn't help but shiver at the sweet sound.
"And you have no idea how sweet your scent is right now."
I tilted my head in question. What was he talking about?
"What do you mean?" My voice came out a little too breathless than I hoped for.
He chuckled, his eyes lighting up a shade as he continued to stare at me.
"I could smell your arousal, Fiona."
My cheeks flushed a bright red and I immediately looked away. Man was I embarrassed right now. I really had to watch myself around him as well as the other werewolves. Who knows who else noticed the way my body was reacting to his touch.
He pulled a bit of my hair behind my ear, kissing my forehead gently.
"It's alright. I feel the same way too."
If my cheeks were a bright red before, they were the color of scarlet at this point. I looked away, never meeting his eyes. It was kind of hard to believe that I could actually make him feel the same way he seemed to make me feel whenever we were in close proximity.
He pressed his forehead against mine, pushing my head upward so I can look back into his eyes. He gave me a reassuring smile, staring down at my lips.
"You don't need to hide from me. But do promise me one thing."
"What?" I whispered, my lips trembling at the mere thought of what could happen as he stared down at my lips intently.
"Please don't allow yourself to get this aroused. I don't think I'll be able to control my wolf next time."
A small giggle escaped my lips as we continued to stare at each other. He never once moved his body away from mine as he supported it with both hands on either side of my head against the wall behind me. I had to admit, I was enjoying this position a little too much, but I didn't care. I could most definitely get used to this kind of thing.
