Fiona's POV

Suddenly, Cicilia stepped forward, obscuring my vision from Sara as she stared down at my friend.

"She can't come with us. Tomorrow was specifically for us to discuss the plans for your baby shower in two weeks." She paused, turning to look over my shoulder with a disgusted look.

"And it's Mrs. Black to you. You have no right to call her Linda."

A surge of anger rushed through me, causing me to stand up abruptly and nearly knock my chair over to the ground. With a small push, I sent Cicilia stumbling over a few steps to the left so she was no longer blocking my view from Sara. With a quick glance in her direction, I looked down at Sara with a small smile

"Like I said, I would love to go. It would be an honor to help plan your baby shower"

"No, it would not be," Cicilia said, stepping beside me and pushing me slightly with her shoulder. She turned to face Sarah as she said,

"Mrs. B. and I had agreed to do all the planning and so did you. We don't need anymore weight on this wagon.

Sara slowly stood up from her seat, using the table for support as she looked up at Cicilia who was a few inches taller than she was.

"Yes, I did agree. But Fiona is my best friend and now that she's here, I would love for her to be a part of this."

"A part of what?"

We turned to see Linda making her way towards us, her hazel brown eyes twinkling under the moonlight. I smiled and walked over to her. She stopped beside me and placed an arm over my shoulder as I placed my own around her waist. Sneaking a glance in Cicilia's direction, I looked over at Linda with a broad grin

"Oh nothing. Sara just wanted me to help you both plan out the baby shower you guys would be throwing for her in two weeks. But Cicilia insists that you both have everything taken care of," I said with fake disappointment seeping into my tone

"Nonsense!" Linda exclaimed, looking over at me.

"It would be a delight to have you help us plan. You can come with us tomorrow for lunch so we could be away from all these men to do some proper planning. And besides, I miss our mother-daughter bonding."

I smiled sincerely at her, a rush of memories over-flooding my mind as I remembered all the quality time we had spent together the summer before I left when I wasn't with Blake. She always complained that he was hogging me all the time we could spend together. It was always amusing to see to be honest

From the corner of my eye, I could see Cicilia glaring at me with such profound anger, I couldn't help but smirk and broaden my smile as I continued to stare at Blake's mom. Out of pure enjoyment, I couldn't help but speak my next words. "That would be amazing, Linda."

Linda continued to smile at me, but I noticed her give me a strange look before waving at Sara and Cicilia and making her way back towards the house, greeting people along the way. I turned back to Sara who was beaming down at me. She jumped lightly on her feet before throwing her arms around me and pulling me into a tight hug

"Yay! This is so exciting!" She released me then, but kept both hands on my shoulders, her eyes gleaming.

"First I found out I'm pregnant with twins, then we're planning a baby shower, and to top it all off, you're back! I am so happy!"

Without warning, tears of joy began to stream down her face and she quickly wiped them away. I chuckled at her sudden change of emotions as Cicilia pulled something out of her pocket (which I had no idea she even had to begin with) and handed Sara a tissue. Sara thanked her quickly before blowing her nose on it. Still smiling, she waved goodbye and made her way towards the house where I noticed both Blake and Anthonio were coming out of. The second Anthonio noticed her, he quickened his pace and enveloped her in his arms, kissing her passionately. I smiled at their public display of affection and shook my head. They act like a cute teenage couple despite them being together for so long.

My eyes met Blake's as he slowly made his way towards me, his eyes glancing briefly towards Cicilia, who still stood next to me, every so often. I kept my focus on him for as long as I could before her chilling voice filled my ears

"Just because you're back doesn't mean everyone is happy about it. You still left and proved to them that you're just a weak Luna who would cause this pack to fall apart once you take the position. You might be high and mighty now," she paused, crossing her arms over her chest and staring down at me before she growled,

"but you will always be a human."

My eyes widened at her words as she walked away from me, her shoulder brushing softly against Blake which made him turn around with bewilderment in his eyes. Turning back to me, he gave me a questioning look but I quickly averted my gaze. I didn't want him to suspect anything was going on between Cicilia and I, but I knew he knew better. Every single time I had the upper hand, she would always manage to somehow turn the tables in her favor. I hated it and despite me trying not to let her get into my head, her voice would somehow slither through the walls I have built and strike me harder than I could ever imagine

A pair of arms wrapped themselves around my waist and my body immediately reacted to his touch. The sparks ignited between us as I leaned back against his chest, closing my eyes as he kissed me softly on my head

"Is everything alright?" He asked quietly. His voice was soft and even, but even I could sense the frustration still lurking there

Not wanting to add anymore stress for him in one night, I shook my head and smiled up at him.

"No, everything is fine," I said with as much reassurance as possible.

Something flashed in his eyes, but I didn't question it. Before I knew it, I was being lifted up into the air and positioned on top of his lap. I looked up to see that he was now sitting in the same seat I was previously in before. He pulled me close against his chest and buried his face against the nape of my neck, breathing in deeply and I could instantly feel his body relax once more

"I'm so glad you're finally home," he whispered before planting a kiss on my skin which caused me to shiver involuntarily

I looked up to see most of the pack residing in the backyard now. Despite us being a couple of feet away from the crowd, I was still able to see Linda and Westley chatting with Anthonio's parents as they laughed every so often. A few feet away from them stood Anthonio with Sara snuggled in his arms and Cicilia standing in front of them, placing both of her hands on Sara's stomach as she spoke softly to the unborn babies. Marcus was no where to be seen, but I knew he wasn't far from everyone else.

As I stared at the pack, I couldn't help but feel guilty for ever leaving them in the first place. Cicilia was right, I had shown them I was weak by running away. A strong Luna would've buried all of her insecurities and stood proudly beside her mate instead of what I had done two years ago. How in the world did I ever get stuck to being a part of this world to begin with

Letting out a soft sigh, I nodded and leaned my head against Blake's as I whispered,

"Me too."
