Werewolf
Lycan's Mate (His Claim) Chapter 26
Blake's POV
You do things without knowing until a second after you do it. And she just looked way too adorable when her cheeks flushed a bright red.
I took a step forward, wrapping my arms around her waist and pulling her against me once more. I loved the way her body seemed to mold perfectly against my own. Without her realizing it, she would pull herself against me until there wasn't any space left between us. From the proximity of our mate being this close to us, my wolf once again began to pace inside of me, urging me to take her already. I kept snapping back at him and trying to calm him down, but that only made him pace even faster in my mind. At one point, he pushed himself forward and the next thing I knew, I was tilting my head once again and pressing my lips against her neck. She shivered at my touch and I couldn't help but run my tongue in a circle against her skin. That seemed to do the trick because she fully tilted her head to the side, granting me more access. Her hands grabbed my arms in a tight hold as she pulled herself harder against me, the action causing my friend downstairs to stiffen. I continued to kiss her neck, trailing my tongue across her sensitive skin and loving the taste of it. It had to be one of the greatest things I have ever tasted. Then again, she was better than anything else I had ever encountered in my life.
Suddenly, a low, lustful moan escaped her lips and my body stiffened. That was it.
Next thing I knew, I was slamming her against the wall, a soft yelp escaping her lips as her eyes widened in astonishment. My body was flushed against hers and I no longer had control of my body; it was my wolf now doing all the action. He placed both hands on either side of her head against the wall and stared down at her intently. I could see the fear in her eyes, but there was something else swimming in their green depths. Was that….pleasure?
I smiled inwardly, but that smile vanished as I noticed that he was now kissing her neck furiously with a little too much force than needed. I could feel my teeth sharpening into their canine form as he rested his lips against the crook of her neck. He opened his mouth slightly, allowing the teeth to graze her skin before he pulled back, readying himself to mark her for good. I could sense her body tense in fear against our own and that's when I pulled him back with all the strength that I had.
My body slammed against the bookshelves and he instantly released his hold on my body as I quickly took control of it the second he did. I gripped the metal shelves, steadying my stance as I stared at the now frightened girl in front of me. The sight was painful to see and, being the jerk that I could be sometimes, I forced my wolf to look at her and see what he had done to our mate. The second he noticed her shaking figure standing in front of us, he whimpered softly, curling himself inside of me as he continuously apologized to our mate. The only problem was that she couldn't hear him. Now it was me who had to do all the talking.
"I'm….I'm sorry, Fiona. He….I didn't notice that he took over completely. I didn't mean to do that. He didn't mean to that. I am so sorry. I hope you can forgive me."
My head now hung loosely over my shoulders. I didn't dare look at her as I still sensed her fast beating heart. Her body emanated waves of fear as she took in heavy breaths.
'I'm sorry. I didn't mean to lose it that way.' My wolf whimpered, curling himself up even more than he was before.
I shook my head.
'Tell that to her, not me.'
'I wish I could.'
Suddenly, I felt two small arms wrap themselves around my neck, taking me by surprise. I stood there, frozen, trying to grasp what was happening. I looked down at her small form that was now hugging me. She nuzzled her face against my chest, tightening her hold.
"I understand, Blake. Tell your wolf that I forgive him."
I released a heavy breath that I hadn't noticed I was holding until now. My hands slowly wrapped around her small frame, feeling my body relax immediately under her touch. I couldn't believe that she had just forgiven us so quickly. I mean, many werewolves understand the reason why we, particularly males, would lose control over our mates. I would've never guessed that she would dismiss it so quickly like this. Maybe there was a reason why the goddess paired us together.
She pulled away slightly, her face close to mine as she stared down at my lips. She bit her bottom lip as her gaze met my own. I knew exactly what she was thinking, and I would be more than happy to grant her her wish. I leaned forward, our lips brushing against each other and igniting a surge of passion through my body. If this is how it felt being mere inches away from kissing her, I couldn't wait to see what would happen if our lips finally met.
Just when I was about to close the distance that was still hovering between us, I felt a presence near where we now stood. My body tensed and I immediately spun her body around so she was standing behind me and I was in a protective stance in front of her. I sniffed the air, my body relaxing as I caught his scent. My wolf immediately was on high alert the second he felt him as well, but curiosity was more evident for him. Why would he be interrupting us like this? He knew better than to do that.
As if on cue, Anthonio emerged into the aisle with a worried expression on his face.
"Why didn't you answer me?"
I lifted up my eyebrow in question.
"What do you mean?"
"I was trying to call you through the mind link. There's an emergency in the northern border and we need all warriors to be there. Now."
I could tell by his tone that this was a very serious matter. My wolf and I both said in unison, rogues.
I nodded my head and spun around, grabbing Fiona's arms gently as I looked intently into her eyes. Suddenly, there was a screeching noise that came above our heads from the intercom as the principal's assistant's voice echoed throughout the entire school.
"Attention students, there is an emergency in the northern border. The Alpha has asked for everyone to evacuate the school immediately and head home safely."
The intercom was switched off and I focused my attention back on my mate. Her eyes were filled with fear once again but more curiosity at the woman's words. "You have to get home safely, okay? I have to go and take care of things."
Her eyes were suddenly overwhelmed with worry as both hands covered my own, barely.
"But what about you? Will you be okay?"
I smiled at her words, my wolf and I appreciating how anxious she felt for our safety. If she only knew how we can take out about five rogues within seconds, there will not be a single hint of worry in her tone.
"Don't worry about me. Just please make it home safely. I'll have Marcus take you there." The second those words escaped my lips, I sent a quick message through the mind link to Marcus, who simply replied with an annoyed groan, but didn't say anything else.
"Meet up with him at the front of the school."
I pulled away from her then, feeling her body's warmth vanish immediately. Anthonio was still waiting for me patiently, although I could sense his anxiety rolling off of him in heavy waves. I knew he wanted to take care of the rogue situation as soon as possible so he could get back to his mate. I actually wondered what he had told her to do the second he got the message from my father.
I made my way out of the aisle, glancing back in her direction and giving her a reassuring smile before disappearing out of the library within seconds. I knew that she would be okay. Marcus may be a pain in the ass sometimes, but he was one that both Anthonio and I could count on no matter what. Anthonio had told me through our mind link that Sara was going to be staying at Fiona's house just so she could protect her if need be. My wolf and I both prayed to the goddess that nothing will happen to either of them.
Anthonio and I slammed through the back doors of the school, sensing the other wolves that were waiting just outside. Without hesitation, we jumped into the air and shifted into our wolf forms, not caring about the clothes we had shredded in the process. We ran side by side, sensing the other wolves fall into step behind us. Anthonio glanced in my direction, a smirk spreading across his lips. He may be a down to earth kind of guy, which is why Sara and him were perfect for each other, but he loved fighting off rogues a lot more than Anthonio and I combined. He loved the adrenaline that pumped through his veins as he prepared himself for any battle that lied ahead.
'You ready?' He asked, his voice sounding more hyped up by the second.
'Let's do this.'
With a loud howl to the air, I plunged forward, leading the other wolves as we neared the northern border of our territory. I was glad it wasn't the western one because that's where Fiona so happened to live nearby.
A fowl scent hit me hard, and I ground my teeth together as I saw the rogues that were attacking the other warriors in front of me. With a loud, menacing growl, I launched myself to the nearest rogue.
