The Bad Boy's Dirty Little Secret BL Chapter 44: Unexpected Surprise
Night’s P.O.V
“Did you get everything?” Kai asked as he rushed around the room, trying to find out of any of my belongings have been left behind.
“Seriously, Kai…if we hadn't just been having sex, I’d say you’re way to eager to get me out of the room.” I sighed at his attempt to find stuff under the cabinets and even under the bed. “I got everything, Kai. And if there is anything left, then just keep it as a souvenir.”
“I’d rather keep you than your underwear.” He grinned, successfully retrieving an old underwear from under the bed and hauling it at me. “But I don’t want to agitate your father and get you locked up again.”
I pursed my lips, thinking about how we were going to proceed from here on out.
Worry gnawed at me that for Kai, it might become a matter of ‘out of sight, out of mind’, especially now that we already slept together. I knew I was being unreasonable in ways I couldn’t fathom, but I had every right to be worried. Especially since we were completely unsure of our relationship status.
However, I was a little startled when I felt big hands wrap around my waist and Kai’s chin resting on my shoulders as I was suddenly enveloped in his warmth from behind.
Despite all the worries gnawing at me, I couldn’t help but smile at out reflection of the glass windows of the room, as the sky outside became dark with the descending night.
“If you keep frowning like this, then you’ll get wrinkles before you turn twenty.” Kai whispered against my ear, making me shiver involuntarily. “Don’t think too much about it. Let’s try and find a solution first.”
“The compound will be heavily guarded.” I sighed, leaning back against Kai’s shoulders. “As far as I know my father, he will bribe someone to report my whereabouts to him all the time.”
“Can’t you bribe them back?”
“I’ll have to find out who it is first.” I told him. “Only then can I take action. So…for the time being…”
“We will meet in scheduled places like empty classrooms or any other hotels around the city.” Kai recited what we had decided upon as a temporary measure to keep seeing each other. “But I’ll try to find a solution soon, don’t worry about it.”
“What do you mean?” I frowned, turning in his arm as Kai loosened his grip so that I could move freely. “Do you have something else on your mind?”
“Kinda…” He frowned, thinking hard. “A few months ago, my sister asked if I wanted to move into a condo in the Upper East Side. She said that one of her colleagues will be getting transferred to a new hospital across the state, so they will no longer be staying there and the cost of renting that condo will pretty much be the same as renting this dorm room.”
“Upper East Side? But that a bit far from school, isn't it?” I frowned, not understanding what he meant.
“Exactly.” He grinned. “The further the better. And besides, if I shift to that condo, we can have a lot more privacy.”
“But…you don’t have a car.” I tilted my head to the side, studying his features. “How do you intend to get here in time for classes?”
“I can always take a cab or the bus.” He shrugged. “What matters now is if that condo is still available to stay. If it is, I’ll ask my sister to help me get it.”
“Won’t you miss being near your friends?” The sacrifice he was thinking of making, moving further away from school just so we could be together, and away from my father’s controlling eyes…as great as it sounded, I was worried that it would affect Kai’s day to day life.
He was losing a lot more than he was gaining and I didn’t like the fact that I was the reason behind all of this.
“Night,” Kai reached up with his big hands and cupped my cheek, the touch affectionate and warm, making my heart flutter a little as I leaned my cheek against his palm. “Will you stop trying to find excuses for me not to go? I know you think this is your fault that I might have to move to another place just so we can spend a lot more time together, but you need to realize something important…I don’t ever do things that I don’t want to. Nobody can make me do them.”
I didn’t realize until he had spoken that these were the exact words that I had been wanting to hear all this time. Even when we were having sex…I wanted to know that his heart was in it and that he wasn’t just doing this for my sake.
“Thank you.” I whispered, leaning forward to place my head in the crook of his neck, my hands going to clutch his shirt at his waist.
“For what?” Kai’s voice was a soft murmur against my ear as he wrapped his own arms around my waist, pulling me closer to his body.
“Nothing…I just wanted to say it.” I buried my face further into his skin, taking in the whiff of his masculine scent that had an earthy undertone mixed with the smell of something sharp, which I was guessing was his perfume.
He told me that I smelled good? I wish he could smell himself the way I did.
“You’re being awfully clingy.” He chuckled into my ear, his grip tightening around my waist. “If you keep doing this…it’s going to be difficult for me to let go of you.”
I didn’t know why, but that flutter in my heart increased until I could hear my heart thundering in my ears.
God, I was down for him bad, wasn’t I? And to think that all this began as a simple joke…as a means for teasing him because I loved watching his nervous reaction.
And here I was now, wrapped in his embrace, never wanting to let him go…
“I have to go…” I whispered unwillingly, but at the same time, my hands tightened around his waist. It seemed like my words and my actions were in complete contrast to each other.
“Soon.” Kai whispered, his voice soft, lanced with a hint of understanding. “Just a little bit longer, and we can have more time to spend with each other.”
I nodded, and finally, released my grip from his shirt, pulling myself away from his embrace reluctantly.
Kai reached up to adjust my hair, before brushing off any wrinkles from my shirt. “Are you hurt anywhere?” He asked once again. “Are you sure I wasn’t too rough back there?”
“Are you underestimating me?” I frowned, but even then, I could feel my cheeks heat up from embarrassment.
Truth was…I hadn't expected to go raw today, and with his size (god forbid he ever hears me say that out loud), I had a bit of bruising that probably won’t be that noticeable. But it sure had taken me by surprise.
“Alright, I won’t tease you anymore.” Kai took a step back, holding up his hands in surrender, immediately making me miss his touch. “It’s getting late.”
“Yeah…” I nodded and then turned to pick my bags up from the bed that I had been occupying for the last couple months. “I guess…we’re no longer roommates…”
Kai looked at me with a hint of sadness in his eyes, and underlying them was something that wasn’t hard to read. I knew the fucker would miss me, but he refused to say it out loud. Proud till the end.
“Take care on your way.” He walked me to the door. “Do you want me to see you off?”
I shook my head. “My dad’s chauffer is coming to pick me up. It’s better that you don’t show up, and keep the lights turned off in the room until the car is gone…just in case.”
“Damn…why does it feel like I’m doing something illegal?” Kai laughed, but nodded in agreement regardless. “When you get a new phone, give me a call so I can save the number.”
“I’ll be ordering one tonight.” I confirmed. After all, my father didn’t have control over my own credit cards, so I could still order things I wanted to and tell him that I was just buying new stuff for the condo.
I reached the door, and suddenly, a strange sensation began to take root in the pit of my stomach…a sensation that told me things were about to get even more difficult from now on.
But just as I reached for the door knob, Kai placed a hand on my shoulder and forced me to turn around to face him…before his lips crashed onto mine with a fury that left me speechless.
The bag dropped from my shoulders and I found myself being pushed against the door as he pinned my hands to my side, his lips moving on mine with unmatched fervor.
My heart thundered in my chest, my pants straining as I felt myself getting aroused once again. With some difficulty, I freed my hands from his and wrapped them around his neck, hauling him even closer to me until there was no space left between us.
I don’t know how long we kept kissing each other like our life depended on it, but I finally had the courage to let go, especially when my lungs started to burn from oxygen depravity.
“Stop.” I panted heavily, my heart thundering with a force that threatened to burst out of my chest. “If you keep doing this, we just might end up in bed again.”
“The wall here doesn’t seem that bad either.” Kai whispered, his voice hoarse as he looked up at me with blue eyes wild with desire. “But…I’ll try to refrain myself. Think of me when you get to bed…”
“You too.”
With a smirk of my own, especially when my eyes landed on the front of his pants, I lifted up my bag once again, and turning off the lights, shut the door without looking back and headed straight to the elevator.
It was only when the doors closed that I breathed a sigh of exhaustion and immediately went on to straighten out my hair and clothes. After I was sure I looked ‘presentable’, and my heart was somewhat calmer than before, I got out on the ground floor and as expected, the chauffer, Raymond, was waiting for me at the foot of the stairs.
He took my bags from me and held the door open so I could get in. I looked up at the building one last time, noticing the vague figure against the closed curtains in my old room, before I got into the car and Raymond started driving instantly.
“Is the condo ready?” I asked him, clearing my throat when my voice sounded a bit hoarse.
“Yes, young Master.” Raymond’s impassive voice didn’t bother me one bit. It was just the kind of person he was. “The Master ordered food for you. It’s in the seat beside you.”
“I see.” I merely glanced at the food next to me, without really paying attention to anything.
There was too much on my mind right then, especially when it came to my relation with Kai and how it might progress in the future. I didn’t like it one bit that I was having to move away from him, but at least, I wasn’t being forced to change universities just yet.
Finally, the car stopped in front of the luxury condo that I was going to have to call home from now on and I stepped out of the car before Raymond could rush to open my door.
“I’ll deliver the bags upstairs.” He told me as soon as I got out, holding out the keys to my new condo.
“Okay.” I nodded before taking the keys from him, realizing that my father had probably ordered the lock to be changed before I arrived. And then I headed straight into the building without a second glance.
The familiar hallways that I had crossed several times before now seemed to be an almost ominous road as I got off the elevator and headed to my room.
But just as I inserted the keys into the door, getting ready to unlock it…the door swung open on its own, and out came a woman that I hadn't hoped to see anytime soon…
“Surprise!”
Said Rosalie Clearwater…my fiancée…
