The Bad Boy's Dirty Little Secret BL Chapter 52: Misunderstandings Part 2
Kai’s P.O.V
Night’s eyes pierced right through me as he stood staring at me from across the road. And then, as I watched in horror, he simply turned and started striding away towards the men’s room right across from the Council building.
“Shit.”
“Is he gone? The boy in the hood? Is he still there?” Saya’s voice came right next to my ears and for I second, I had almost forgotten that she was in my arms…with the flowers in her hand, and to anyone who had witnessed the scene from afar, it would’ve looked like…I had been the one to give her those flowers…
Double shit!
“Kai? Kai? Is he gone?”
“Huh?” I blinked, my eyes still glued to Night’s retreating back as I remained momentarily flabbergasted, unable to comprehend what was happening around me.
“Is he gone?” Saya urged again, this time, using her finger to pinch my sides.
“Ow…” Finally, coming back to my senses, I looked in the direction where the guy in the blue hood had been standing and found him gone.
“He’s gone.” I immediately pushed away from Saya. “He’s gone. I can’t see him anywhere.”
Understanding that she needed my help for something that she couldn’t trust anyone else with, I stepped back from her, trying to locate Night in the dim light of the setting sun. The area was practically deserted, so thankfully, no one other than Night and that hooded guy had witnessed the whole scene that went down just now…whatever the hell that was, but I didn’t have time to grasp the concept here either.
“Oh, thank god! Kai…I’m really sorry, no, thank you! I really need to-” Saya tried to hold onto my arm, probably so she could try and explain to me what on earth just happened, but before she could explain further, I had to cut her off.
“Saya,” I held onto her shoulders to stop her from talking, and looked into her eyes to show her just how serious I was. “I don’t know what just happened, but whatever it was, I’m not interested. And I really need to go. We’ll talk later.”
“No, Kai, you don’t-”
But I was done listening to her. Stepping to the side, I all but broke out into a run in the direction I had seen Night leave just seconds ago, following down the path to the men’s room in the faculty building opposite to the Council building.
The street side lights had finally turned on and the place was all but deserted considering that it was nearly seven in the evening, but Night was nowhere to be found.
“Night?” I called out, hoping that maybe, by some luck, he would hear me and actually respond.
“Night? Where are you?” I called out again, but when there was no answer, I knew that he wasn’t going to make this any easier for me to find him.
So I followed down the path to the faculty building where I had seen him walk towards and fortunately, found two boys, probably freshmen, grumbling on the stairs of the building as one of them wiped something off their shirt.
“Hey, what happened here?” I asked them, seeing as they looked angry.
“This guy just bumped into us on the way in,” one them answered while helping his friend, whose white shirt was now stained orange from the drink in his hand. “And he didn’t even fucking apologize for it! How arrogant can someone be?”
“Did he have brunette hair and hazel eyes? About six feet tall?” I asked them, knowing that the boys were agitated, but I was in a hurry.
“Maybe, we didn’t see his face, but I think he had brunette hair.” The other guy sighed. “Fucker ruined my shirt.”
“Hey, you little-” I grit my teeth before I could say something bad to the freshmen. After all, I was the Student Council Vice-President, and I wasn’t supposed to call names and throw punches, no matter how badly I wanted to.
Instead, I took out my wallet and handed him a fifty. “For the drink and the dry cleaning.” I told the boys, who looked at me in shock. “And I apologize on his behalf; he’s been having a bad day.”
“I…it’s alright…” the boy with the orange stain on his shirt took the bill. “Thank you.”
“Now, can you tell me where he went?” I asked, hopeful.
“I think we saw him enter the washroom.” The other guy pointed down the hallway. “He just went in, I think.”
“Which way is the washroom?”
“Third door down the hall.”
“Thanks.” With that, I bounded up the stairs to the faculty building and ran down the hallway, in hopes of catching up to Night and hoping that I didn’t just lose fifty trying to clean up some other guy’s mess.
But when I turned the corner and headed to the washroom just as the freshmen had instructed, I heard the sound of the water running and the angry rumblings of an unmistakable voice.
“Night?” I entered the room to find him splashing water on his face angrily.
“Night, let me-”
“Don’t you dare come near me, you bastard!” Night turned to face me angrily, his eyes filled with betrayal. “How dare you follow me here?”
“Night, please,” I held up my hands in surrender as I carefully approached my enraged boyfriend. “Will you just…”
“Just what, huh? Give you a chance to lie to my face?” He snapped, turning to face me in anger. “I told you to keep our relationship a secret, not to fuck around with anyone possible. Or did you ever mean anything you said to me? Was this all just a game, Kai?”
“Night, you’re overreacting.” I snapped, unable to contain my own temper. “I never lied to you and what you saw out there was just a bloody misunderstanding! It’s not what it looked like!”
“Oh really? Are you going to tell me she was pretending to accept flowers from you? Are you going to tell me that when she jumped into your arms, it was all fake as fuck?” He yelled out, his face turning red from anger, the veins in his neck stating out like a stark contrast to his porcelain skin. “Do you think I’m some naïve woman to fall for you lies, Kai? There are no women in this relationship! I’m not going to believe any bullshit that comes out of your fucking mouth!”
“It was all fake, damnit!” I yelled back at him, stepping closer to him as I grabbed onto his collar. “I’ve never even looked at a woman since we got together and I know we promised to keep it a secret because your fucked up parents! You think I want to keep this a secret on purpose?”
“Well, you sure don’t seem to mind flirting around, do you Kai?” Night grabbed onto my collar as well, his face inches away from mine. “You want me to believe what you’re saying when I saw with my own eyes what actually happened?”
“Well, if you had come earlier or stayed till the end, then we wouldn’t be having this conversation at all, damnit!”
“Yeah? And you think anything would’ve changed in that time? You think I’m some naïve bitch to fall for your tricks-”
Before he could utter another word and things could get out of control even further, I crashed my lips to his, pushing him up against the tiled walls with all my strength as I pinned his hands on either side of his head.
Night struggled under my grip, trying to break free, but he kissed me back with just as much fervor, our lips dancing in an intimacy that was almost punishing.
Finally, I let go of one of his arms, but instead of pushing me away, Night’s hand went to my nape, pulling me in further as we continued to kiss each other with everything we had. All the pent up frustration, all the anger, all the jealousy, everything combined in a moment of inferno that seemed to find a release in the intimate dance of our lips.
It wasn’t gentle, but there was no lack of passion either. Our bodies were pressed together until there was no space between us, and before long, I found my hands wandering to his waist, pulling him even closer than was possible, until I could feel the hint of his arousal against me.
When we finally broke the kiss, gasping for air as our lungs burned from depravation, I pressed my forehead to his, closing my eyes to absorb the sensation as my lips felt sore from the kiss.
When I opened my eyes to look at Night, his eyes reflected the same desire as mine, our breaths mingling in a symphony as we stared at each other, waiting for the other person to say the first word.
Finally, Night broke the tense silence that hung in the air, casting aside the shadows of doubt that hung over our relationship.
“Why did you kiss me?” He asked, his tone breathless.
“It seemed like a better option than punching you in the face.”
“Fuck you,” but even though there was some residual anger in his words, his lips tilted up in a small smile that he couldn’t hide.
“I think you already did.” I licked my bottom lip, pressing myself harder against him to let him know that I was just as aroused as he was.
Fuck, why did our fight make me feel horny?
But just as we were about to lock our lips once again, a sudden gasp from behind had us halting halfway.
“Oh my god!”
The familiar feminine voice had us both turning towards the door to find Saya standing at the entrance, her eyes wide as saucers as she covered her mouth with her hands.
Oh, fuck!
