The Bad Boy's Dirty Little Secret BL Chapter 63: Poolside Date

Kai’s P.O.V

“Kai…where are you taking me?” Night asked for the thousandth time as we snuck past yet another security guard and headed further inside the campus.

“Shhh…” I pressed a finger to my lips, telling him it was best to keep quiet. “Just a little further.”

“But…isn't this forbidden area? Especially after school is over?” Night asked cautiously, as if he was a bit afraid of going into campus at night.

“Come now, don’t worry.” I urged, a grin stretching on my lips as I pulled him along. “You have me, remember?”

“And that’s supposed to be reassuring how?” He raised his eyebrows.

“Don’t be such a buzzkill!” I took his arm and hauled him after me as we ran past the clubhouse and finally arrived at our desired location. “Tada!”

“The pool?” Night raised his eyebrows. “The gate is locked. How do you propose we get in?”

Grinning from ear to ear, I produced the keys from my back pocket. “You were saying?”

“Wow, are you taking unfair advantages of your post in the student council?” He folded his arms over his chest.

“More like benefits of being the Vice-President.” I shrugged, before I turned towards the gate and began fumbling with the lock to get it open. It wasn’t long before I heard the satisfactory click, and then I took off the lock and opened the door wide enough so that we could sneak in.

Once inside, I locked the gate once again, so that when the security guard came on his round in this area of the campus, he’d think that the gate was still locked, and he wouldn’t go sniffing around.

“This feels illegal...” Night muttered under his breath as we began walking inside the pool area, before he suddenly stopped short right in the middle of the road.

I grinned before I came up right behind him, placing my hands on the side of his waist before I whispered in his ears. “Do you like it?”

“H-how?” He stuttered, his back stiff as he looked at the pool in shock. “How on earth did you manage it?”

“Well…I may have asked Tina and Yin to help…and Saya volunteered.” I told him. “They worked hard to get this place all set up.”

One corner of the pool was lit up with fairy light, illuminating the water around it. There was a wine basket at one corner and on the pool was a floating basket with our dinner served on it already.

The tiny candles under the earthen pots made sure that the food stayed warm, and the girls had actually just finished the arrangement a bit earlier, before they snuck out the way we had entered, so everything remained fresh.

I had wanted to add flowers and rose petals, but Saya had warned me against them, since the petals could require a lot of time to clean up and no one wanted to be cleaning an entire ass pool right after the date.

Not to mention, the swimming club would not only get suspicious at the floating petals, there would be other couples who would want similar experiences in the pool and this club would soon turn into a dating hub. Which was why…the cameras had been disabled for the night…all thanks to Tina.

Night turned to face me, eyebrows raised. “What’s the occasion?”

“Let’s just say…it’s a date.” I shrugged, while taking his hand and pulling him along so we could enjoy said date. “For us moving in together.”

“I thought you were about to say it was a celebration to your introduction into the modeling world.” Night huffed, clearly still upset.

“Hey…don’t start something you can’t finish.” I told him, as I began to take off my clothes. “And this was a one-time thing only. I’m not interested in modeling. Too flashy.”

Night raised his eyebrows. “Flashy? And why on earth are you getting naked?”

“We didn’t bring any extra underwear,” I shrugged as I took off the last of my clothing and took a seat at the edge of the pool. “Come on, take them off. Unless you want to walk all the way back to the apartment, soaking wet.”

Night paused for a second, his eyes roaming all over me before he met my eyes. I could see the desire in them clearly, even though we had sex not too long ago. Our appetite for each other was indeed insatiable, and for once, I was glad that we had finally moved in, so we could do what we wanted without the entire dorm knowing what we were up to.

The dorm had had incredibly thin walls.

“Fine,” Night huffed, before taking off his own clothes and placing them at the side of the pool before he stepped into the water.

I followed suit, the water feeling cool against my skin as I sank into it. It lapped against my chest as I swam my way to the basket and drew it closer to us, so we could enjoy our meal.

“Red wine?” I asked, bringing the basket closer to the edge so I could fill up the glasses.

“Sure.” Night smiled.

The night air was cool and the stars twinkled overhead, providing a tranquil atmosphere for us as we slowly enjoyed our dinner. The arrangements of cheese and crackers and fruits as well as soups and a salad was a nice refreshing dinner after a day of hard work.

“Kai,” Night finally broke the comfortable silence between us. But when I turned to face him, he seemed a bit hesitant as he bit down on his lower lip, debating on something.

“What is it?” I raised my eyebrows. “Do you want something else?”

“No, it’s not that.” He shook his head. “It’s just that…why did you choose to model today?”

I frowned. “I thought we were over this.”

“Oh, come on, Kai, don’t give me that excuse. I know you better than that.” He turned to face me, his eyes serious as he continued. “You even took Avery’s number after the shoot and I can’t help but think that you just might be willing to continue doing the shoots if you’re ever short for money.”

I turned around, sighing softly as I took a sip of the wine.

“I’m right, aren’t I?” He persisted. “Is it because you have to pay the rent and stuff? Is it because the expenses-”

“My parents don’t know about me.”

Night stilled, his eyes widening slightly as he took a moment to process my words. “What do you mean exactly?”

“I mean exactly what I said.” I told him, before gulping down the wine in one go, feeling the burn as it went down my food pipe. “My parents don’t know that I’m bisexual and that I’m in love with a man.”

“So…all this time…you never…”

“I’m not as brave as you, Night,” I finally admitted, even though I still couldn’t meet his eyes. “I want to tell them as well, but I’m scared of what might happen. If your parents, who were considerably lenient with you all your childhood, could suddenly turn on you like this…I can’t even begin to imagine what my own parents would do to me.”

The thought of my mother, Kia…and even my father, turning their backs on me…refusing to acknowledge me for who I am…it was like my worst nightmare coming to life.

I wanted to tell them…god knows I did. But what scared me was what came after. The rejection, the heartbreak, the disappointment, and then…the hate.

My sister was already suffering with her engagement, since her fiancé wanted her to be a stay-at-home mom while he earned the money, even though my sister was better than him in every way and form. And I had a feeling that if he brought that up in front of my parents and grandmother, they would actually force Kia to quit her job after everything she went through to achieve what she did.

So then…if my parents found out I was gay…what would they do to me?

“So…you’re not gonna do the gig because of financial trouble…” Night finally caught on to what I had been thinking all this time. “You’re doing it so that…if they find out and don’t accept you…”

“I’ll still have means to support myself.” I finished that sentence.

And as an awkward silence descended between the two of us, I wondered how this revelation, that I had kept a secret for so long, was going to affect the course of our relationship in the future.

Because, as it turns out…I wasn’t the only one who was the dirty little secret in this relationship…Night was mine too.
