The Bad Boy's Dirty Little Secret BL Chapter 59: Modeling?
Kai’s P.O.V
“Jesus fucking Christ! Kai!” I placed a hand on my racing heart that threatened to break out of my chest. “When did you get here?”
“Just now.” I shrugged, before a frown creased my brows as I watched the paleness of his face. “What exactly are you up to? You look like you were about to sneak off somewhere?”
“Kai…I’m nineteen and I can take care of myself,” Night narrowed his eyes at me. “Why would I need to sneak out like a teenager living in their parent’s house?”
“Oh?” I raised my brows, amused. “Really? Then tell me the address and I can drive you there. After all, you need to get there within an hour don’t you?”
“Fuck!” Night cursed under his breath, stomping his foot like the kid he claimed he wasn’t. “Fine! My manager called me for a photoshoot! I need to be there in an hour! And here’s the address.”
He held up his phone to my face and I saw the pinned location on the map that his manager had sent him. “Okay,” I nodded. “It’s afternoon, so the traffic shouldn’t be that bad. Let’s get going, shall we?”
I turned to leave, but paused when I realized Night didn’t immediately follow behind. “Is everything alright?” I turned back to ask.
“Um…” He looked at me hesitantly, as if he wanted to say something then decided against it. “Nevermind…it’s nothing.” He grumbled under his breath before he skipped ahead of me. “Let’s go.”
Shrugging, I followed behind him to the elevator, once I made sure that our apartment door was locked.

“So…when were you going to tell me that this was a…underwear shoot?”
I grit my teeth tightly, my jaw clenched as I narrowed my eyes at the scene in front of me. There were at least ten other guys in the room, ranging from burly muscular to lean and athletic. Of course, they belonged to all races and ethnicities as well. However, they all had one thing in common…
Beach themed underwear. And exposed torsos.
And for some reason, their skin looked exceptionally glossy and shiny.
I turned my eyes to Night, who stood fidgeting next to me. Not because he was nervous about me finding out that he was here shooting for an underwear company, but because his manager was late and the shoot was about to start.
“Oho! Stop being overdramatic, Kai! It’s a professional shoot!”Night shooed me off like I was some kind of fly. “Damnit! Where on earth is she?”
Just then, the door to the studio burst open and a woman in her mid to late thirties came rushing in. Her brunette hair was sticking out in every direction possible and she wore a bright pink skirt paired with a white shirt that would make her stick out in crowd easily.
“I’m so sorry I’m late!” The woman came rushing towards Night as she panted heavily. “The traffic was awful!”
“Traffic?” Night and I gave each other a look, wondering how she found traffic on the near empty roads this afternoon, but we just shrugged and chose to let it slide. After all, I didn’t even know her, so pointing out her mistakes wasn’t my duty either.
“Never mind!” She said quickly, moving her hair out of her face before she started to give Night instructions on what to do next. “The makeup artist is already waiting for you in Room 304, so get your ass there pronto! And the costume team is on the room to the right, Room 309. Remember those rooms and don’t mix up. I’ll go talk to the management team in the meantime so that-Oh!”
She suddenly stopped when she looked at me. “Oh…hello there! I’ve never seen you here before. Are you a new model?”
“No I’m-”
“No he’s not!” Night cut me off before I could finish my sentence. “He’s my boyfriend.”
That had both me…and the brunette lady, raising our eyebrows at Night.
Did he…seriously admit to our relationship? In public?
“Oh! I see.” The woman looked at me, still having that interested glint in her eyes as she gave me a once over before turning to Night. “What are you waiting for? Get going!”
Night hesitated once again before turning to the lady. “Don’t dare try something funny, Ava! I have my eyes on you!”
Night warned before he turned and disappeared down a corridor where the dressing room was supposed to be. And once he was out of the, just as I expected, the woman turned to look at me with a wide smile before she held out her hand for me to shake. “Avery Clark. And you?”
“Kai.” I shook her hand out of politeness. “Kai Hunter.”
“Aww….such a sweet name! Kai…rolls right off, doesn’t it?” She giggled kinda unnecessarily. “Sooo…have you ever thought of modeling?”
“Modeling?” My eyes widened in shock as she neared me, before pointing to the studio in front of me.
“See this?” She asked. “This is being organized by Hanes. You know them, right? The famous luxury brand?”
I nodded. Of course I knew about Hanes! Who didn’t?
“Well…if you want. You can be one of their models too,” Avery batted her long eyelashes at me. “You have the looks…the physique…I mean, you’re a pretty eye candy, so I have no doubt as to why Night chose you as his boy…”
I narrowed my eyes at her. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
She must have realized that she had inadvertently crossed a line, and immediately a weary look crossed her face. “I’m so sorry! Me and my big mouth! I keep babbling nonsense all the time…just…never mind what I said.”
“Now you got me curious.” I turned to face her fully, tucking my hands in the pockets of my jeans. “What did you mean by what you said earlier? I want to know.”
“Well…it’s just that…I’ve been working with Night for almost two years now…and he had never dated anyone.” She sighed heavily, scratching the back of her neck. “There are plenty of pretty men in the industry and I’m sure that Night has been hit on by many and maybe…he…umm…you know…”
“Hooked up with some of them?” I raised my eyebrows, even though my stomach tightened in knots at the thought of it. “Is someone here that I should be aware of?”
The question slipped out before I could stop myself and I saw Avery grin from ear to ear as she beamed up at me. “Nope. Night has been invited to this shoot for the first time. It’s a big deal, you know? So…there’s still a chance for you to join…if you want to.”
“I…haven’t really given it a thought.” I told her truthfully, now that I was relieved to know that I wasn’t in danger of running into any of Night’s flings; at least for now. “But I’ll keep it in mind.”
“Oh, come on…don’t miss out on this opportunity! They’re paying about 5K for the shoot! And with a face like yours, I can negotiate for more!”
Five grand? Wow…that really was a lot.
Now I was starting to debate if I should actually join this fashion parade and make an easy five grand. After all…I may be needing it in the future.
“I’ll think about it.” I told her, this time with a bit more sincerity than before, as I turned to face the front of the room where a humongous beach poster hung on the wall and the thousand umbrella lights focused on the models and they posed for their solo shoots as well as with groups.
But just then, I saw Night walk out of the hallway, dressed in nothing but a pair of light blue trunks that had tiny clouds printed onto them…and I started to really regret bringing him here in the first place.
