The Bad Boy's Dirty Little Secret BL Chapter 65: Housewarming Party
Kai’s P.O.V
Landon and Devon were the first to arrive, followed by Trey and Tanya. They all seemed excited as they entered, looking around the tiny apartment as they took in every detail. I knew it wasn’t our own house and that, in the near future, when I actually did own a house of my own, I was going to make it exactly how Night wanted it to be, but still…having our friends appreciate the house meant a lot to both me and Night.
“We got you alcohol.” Devon handed me the bottle that he had brought with him. “My dad got it from Italy a few years back and I never got a chance to open it. But I guess tonight is the perfect occasion.”
“Thanks, Dev.” I patted him on the back, accepting the gift. “It’s really nice. Let me get the proper glasses. Red cups won’t do this justice.”
Later, Cole and Josh arrived at the same time, bringing even more snacks and cheap booze. However, as soon as Cole saw the condo, he let out a low whistle as he turned towards me, “Dude, you seem like a totally different guy now that you moved out of the dorm. Playboy Kai no more? Only domestic Kai. Old you would have thrown a fit!”
I rolled my eyes at him and shook my head at his words. “You hearing yourself? Nothing domestic about throwing a housewarming party, man. Besides, I’m just happy to move in with Night. What do I care about ‘old me’? He didn’t know shit!”
Cole shared a look with Josh. “See, what did I tell you? Domestic.”
“Says the guy who would pass out on his third glass of beer.” Josh sniggered, before blending in with the crowd. “Did you forget Kai had to drag your ass back home every time we went to a club?”
“Hey! Take that back!” Cole followed Josh inside and they kept on their playful banter, but overall, it seemed like everyone was having fun.
Since Night didn’t want snack crumbs on the bed, we all sat on the floor with a small table in the middle containing all our snacks and drinks. The little floor cushions were more than enough for us to be seated comfortably.
Soon enough, the party went into full swing as the evening went on. We ate the food while it was still warm and had drinks to cool us down. It turned out that Night and my friends were now blending well together and they had formed one big group instead of two separate groups.
Our friends talked and teased me about ‘settling down’ and ‘becoming domestic’, but Night didn’t seem to mind.
“That word again,” I pretended to be annoyed. “Seriously, what’s with that? And anyway, is that such a bad thing?”
“Ooh! So you admit it!”
“Admit what?!”
The laughter and the cheers kept the atmosphere lively, but the teasing soon turned towards Landon and Devon, who finally decided to come clean about their relationship and the fact that they too, were planning on moving into Devon’s condo.
“Shit! And here I thought that only Kai was being domestic!” Cole sighed. “Look how my might friends have fallen from grace?”
“Maybe you should join the team, Cole.” Devon suggested, putting his arm around Landon’s shoulder and pulling him close. “I bet you’re jealous to be this painfully single.”
“Don’t rub it in, bitch!”
At some point, Tanya seemed to notice an obvious difference between herself and the rest of the people here. “Ummm, guys?” she asked, and her tone making us turn to her in worry since she sounded serious, but she had a smile on her face like she was trying not to laugh. “Am I the only girl invited here? Because people might think we’re having an orgy in here…”
Trey all but choked on his drink, while the rest of us just burst out laughing.
“Girl, there are two gay couples in the room!” Devon reminded her, reaching over to playfully whack the back of her head. “And while there are two singles here as well, you yourself are in a relationship; ain’t nobody thinking we’re having an orgy!”
She shrugged, sipping on her drink. “Well, you never know.”
“The only thing you need to worry about is being the designated driver to drop off all the drunkards home when the party's over,” said Josh, chuckling. Across from him, Night raised his glass for a toast at that declaration, and Trey obliged, cheering for his girlfriend even though she gave him a murderous look, “Let’s drink as much as we want! Mama Tanya is here to keep us safe!”
“Idiot; I want to get wasted too!” Tanya pouted. “Let’s see how safe you can be when I dump you in a ditch in the middle of the night!”
“Why even go home in the first place?” Landon asked. “When we can just spend the night here passed out on the floor!”
“I’ll kick you out as soon as I see a single person gag, Landon.” I threatened jokingly. “And I bet you’ll be first.”
“Hey!” Devon covered his boyfriend with his arms, but it was really just his way of getting to cuddle more. “Stay away from my baby!”
Cole suddenly sprung up his seat, laughing as he asked Landon for a high five. “Domestic Devon~” he said in a sing-song voice.
“Anyway, you’re a med student and a boxer, Tanya, so you’re practically one of the guys yourself,” Night teased. “Let’s be real, nobody in the room thinks you’re a girl.”
“Hey!” Tanya protested in mock defense. “You take that back, jerk!”
“Baby, don’t mind them,” Trey tried his best to cover his snort as he comforted his girl. “I think you’re the prettiest girl in the world.”
“You better!” She warned, before giving in to Trey and letting him kiss her cheek.
At this time, I looked around the full room, a thought suddenly entering my head.
“Well, actually,” I said thoughtfully, “another girl was invited, but she hasn’t shown up yet. Maybe she isn’t coming…?”
I had clearly told Saya that we would be hosting the party tonight and that she was welcome to join. And in fact, she had been really enthusiastic about coming as well. Did she not get permission from her parents or was there something else?
I took out my phone, to see that it was around eight thirty in the evening, so it still wasn’t too late for her to show up, but the area wasn’t exactly the safest place in town, so I was worried about her arriving here alone…
And just on cue, as if Saya had been listening to my thoughts… the doorbell rang and all of us turned towards the door at the same time. “Oh, that must be her, then.” I stood from my seat. “I’ll get the door. Night? Do we have enough glasses?”
“Sure,” Night held up an empty, untouched, cup. “I kept hers separate so these hooligans didn’t get their hands on it.”
As a stream of mock protests went up in the air, I shook my head and went to get the door, excited to see Saya.
But when I swung the door open, what greeted me was the sight of not one, but two women—Saya and…Ruby.
