Druid in the Marvel Universe Chapter 108: The Tradition of Hellfire Boulevard
The hot chick gave Alvin a once-over, finding him kinda intriguing and chill.
Even though she had a gun pointed at him earlier, he didn't seem pissed at all. His stare wasn't exactly respectful, but hey, maybe it was a compliment?
She leaned down again, resting her hands on the car window. With a super sexy smile, she said, "I don't have any relatives named Angelina. That's a lame name. I'm Megan Fox."
Alvin's heart did a little flip at her move. This chick was off-the-charts sexy.
Taking a deep breath, Alvin grinned and said, "So, need a lift, gorgeous? I'm heading to LA. If it's on the way, I can drop you anywhere!"
Right after he said that, he felt a sharp pinch on his lower back. If it wasn't for the hottie in front of him, he might've jumped in pain.
Alvin gritted his teeth and shot a glare at Jessica. This girl was such a brat! Couldn't she see he was trying to flirt?
Megan, of course, noticed the commotion inside the car. She rested her chin on her hand and winked at Alvin, making him get pinched again. She said, "I'm going to Scranton. Seems like it's on the way. Should I thank you in advance?" She then blew a kiss provocatively at Jessica.
This time, Alvin quickly blocked Jessica's hand, smiled at Megan, and said, "My pleasure. We can leave right now."
Megan flashed a charming smile, opened the car door, and slid into the passenger seat. Her short skirt rode up even more, showing off her perfect long legs.
Alvin tried hard not to stare and leaned forward to call the nerdy guy into the car.
But he saw Ginny in the back seat, with the window open, wrinkling her nose and baring her teeth cutely. She was shaking the whaling harpoon Frank had lent her dad, scaring the nerdy guy.
Seeing the guy fumbling with a small revolver, sweating bullets, Alvin felt bad for him.
Alvin thought if there were levels of failure, this dude would be rock bottom.
The nerdy guy, seeing Megan get into the car, tried to calm himself. He puffed out his chest, coughed awkwardly, and tucked the small revolver into his waistband before trying to open the car door.
Alvin frowned at the guy's move. Even the dumbest gangsters on Hellfire Boulevard wouldn't tuck a gun into their waistband pointing at their junk. If it went off, it would be a disaster!
Alvin called out, "Hey, buddy, if I were you, I'd take that gun out of there. It's dangerous, and I ain't letting someone like you in my car!"
The guy got startled by Alvin, and in his panic, he tried to pull out the revolver from his waistband. The result was a loud "bang."
Alvin was shocked and leaned forward to see the guy lying on the ground, clutching his thigh, crying and screaming in pain.
Ginny rested her chin on the car window, looking at the idiot who had shot himself. She wondered if this guy was one of her kind because he was stupid in a way that was different from normal people!
Megan rolled her eyes at the guy's dumb move, patted her head, and reluctantly got out of the car to check on the unlucky fool. She couldn't let him die; it would mess up her mission.
Just as Alvin was about to get out of the car, a red and black Mustang came up from behind, performing a slick drift to block Alvin's Mercedes.
A good-looking middle-aged dude with a worried look jumped out of the car, rocking simple jeans and a T-shirt. As soon as he stepped out, Megan started shooting at him. The guy awkwardly dodged her shots, hiding behind the front wheel of the Mustang.
Megan held her ground, gun ready, waiting for the guy to show himself.
Alvin was kinda taken aback by Megan's boldness. She fired without a second thought. Good thing she didn't aim at him; it would've been a mess if he had to shoot a hot chick!
The guy hiding behind the wheel yelled out, "Alvin, it's me, Cross, Cross Wesley. I live in the apartment across from your restaurant. I'm Joseph's neighbor!
Help me! That kid on the ground is my son. They're trying to kidnap him!"
Alvin was stunned. He had no memory of this guy, but it wasn't impossible. He didn't really remember handsome dudes.
Alvin glanced back at Jessica, looking for confirmation. Jessica thought for a moment and nodded, saying, "Yeah, I think there is such a person. I've seen him around. He doesn't come to our restaurant much."
Alvin looked at Megan. She didn't seem like a kidnapper. Did that nerdy kid on the ground really need to be kidnapped? He almost blew off his own junk!
Megan eyed Alvin warily, her gun still aimed at Cross. She said in a serious tone, "You better back off. I don't want to hurt you!"
Alvin sighed and said, "I think you should put down the gun, seriously!
Even though you're gorgeous, that guy should be my neighbor. I can't just ignore this!"
As he spoke, a golden vine shot up from the ground, wrapping Megan up tightly.
Alvin told Jessica to keep an eye on Ginny, then got out of the car, walked over to the bound Megan, and gently took the gun from her hand, saying somewhat apologetically, "Sorry, even though you're super hot, I gotta trust my neighbor."
Megan was shocked by Alvin's move. She had no clue where the golden vine came from and was now stuck. Megan gritted her teeth and said angrily, "Why?"
Alvin shrugged and smiled, saying, "Because my neighbor wouldn't dare lie to me. The cost would be too high!
Judging by your reaction, that guy wasn't lying."
Cross, still hiding behind the wheel, heard the commotion and raised his hands to show he wasn't a threat. Seeing Alvin subdue Megan, he rushed to the young man's side, ignoring his shoulder wound, and tore open his pants to check the wound.
The young man was in so much pain he didn't know what was happening. Seeing Megan tied up and a man rushing over to tear his pants, he clutched his crotch and screamed, rolling on the ground to avoid Cross!
Cross gave Alvin an embarrassed smile, grabbed the nerdy young man's collar, and shouted, "James Wesley, look at me. I'm your father!"
James Wesley looked at Cross in disbelief and said with difficulty, "They told me you were dead and left me a large inheritance!" From his tone, it seemed he was disappointed Cross wasn't dead!
Alvin didn't want to watch anymore. He signaled Jessica to get the medical kit from the car for Cross and then stopped paying attention to them.
Alvin removed the magazine from the gun in his hand and ejected the bullet from the chamber.
He placed the gun on the dashboard of the passenger seat, then picked up the bound Megan and put her in the passenger seat. He swore he had no ulterior motives!
Although Alvin still didn't get what was going on, he felt that the young man named James Wesley wasn't worth such a beautiful woman kidnapping him. But since Cross was his neighbor!
In the end, Alvin still felt that a beautiful woman should be given some preferential treatment, especially one with such a full chest!
