Druid in the Marvel Universe Chapter 147: The Tough Turtle Shell Kid

6 min 59.3K views

At 8 PM, Alvin was chillin' behind the bar, grinning at the three poor suckers in front of him.

Watching Steve wrap his head with some gauze and gloomily chug whiskey, Alvin couldn't help but feel a bit smug. Karma's a real thing, man!

Who'd believe Steve got his head busted just from a night out drinking?

Frank, the old tough guy, had his nose broken and was now icing it down.

Jack, with eyes all red, was trying hard not to cry. Everyone around him kept their distance 'cause he reeked of garlic. The smell was so strong it was making everyone gag.

Even Alvin, who usually liked garlic, couldn't stand it. It was like garlic on steroids, turning into this nasty, puke-inducing stench.

Waving his hand in front of his face, Alvin said to Jack with a smirk, "Dude, I didn't know you were such a garlic fan. It's good for you, but damn, you smell like a dumpster fire. Haha!"

Jack gave Alvin a helpless look and said sadly, "What the hell is this stuff? I took six showers yesterday, and I still smell like this.

Boss, my sense of taste and smell are gone. Even when I drink, all I taste is garlic."

He downed a big glass of whiskey, trying to drown out the garlic taste, but it didn't help much.

Joseph had come over a few times, subtly hinting that Jack should leave. His stench was driving away the customers.

Desperate, Jack let out a long sigh and angrily said, "If I catch those turtle kids, I'm gonna shove my Remington up their butts and blast 'em to the moon!"

With that, Jack grabbed a bottle of whiskey and stormed out of the restaurant, planning to take another shower and then get wasted. Yesterday's events were just too bizarre. If there were a competition for idiots, he’d definitely win.

Seeing Jack leave, Alvin chuckled and poured a beer for the two injured guys. Hard liquor wasn't great for people with head injuries. Haha!

Steve gave Alvin a wry smile and gestured for him not to push it, then downed a big glass of beer.

Alvin clinked his glass with Frank's and said with a grin, "I thought you'd be out with a gun seeking revenge by now. This isn't the Frank I know!"

Frank sniffled and said with a wry smile, "It was our fault yesterday. Those kids didn't seem like bad people. They sounded young.

One of them got a faceful of Jack's piss when he came out of the sewer. If I were him, I'd go nuts too."

Alvin was super interested in these kids, especially since Jack had mentioned something about turtle kids and Frank said they came out of the sewer. This piqued his interest even more.

Alvin hoped they were those four cool little turtles. They were part of his childhood memories, though not all sweet. He had taken a beating for them too!

Looking at Frank's messed-up nose and Steve's head, Alvin laughed and said, "Those kids are pretty tough? How'd they manage to get the better of you guys?"

Steve shook his head with a wry smile and said, "They're really tough. Those kids are big and super agile, with great skills!

I got a taekwondo kick to the head from one of them."

As he spoke, Steve touched his head, indicating that the hit had been pretty hard.

Alvin was super curious and eagerly asked, "What do they look like? Forgive me, guys, I'm just too curious!"

Frank thought for a moment and said, "Judging by their voices, they must be young, probably only seventeen or eighteen."

"They had turtle shells on their backs and wore masks. I got curious and got whacked in the face by one of 'em with a stick."

Frank rubbed his busted nose and said, "But if I catch 'em, they're gonna pay."

Alvin laughed, poured more beer for the two of them, took a big gulp, and said, "What's up with that unlucky guy Jack? He smells like a dumpster fire now!"

Frank thought for a moment and said, "We tracked 'em through the sewer for a while, and one of the kids hit Jack with a small bottle. The smell was even worse down there.

But we did find something else."

Frank pulled out two fangs from his pocket and placed them on the bar.

Alvin glanced at them and said, "Vampires? How'd you find 'em?"

Frank took a sip of beer and said, "There were quite a few in the sewer, all killed by that garlic stuff on Jack. They were piled up in a mess down there.

It was obviously those kids who did it, so we don't think they're bad people."

Alvin pondered for a moment. Vampires in the sewers of Hellfire Boulevard? Not a good sign! These bloodsuckers always thought they were high and mighty. Why would they be in the sewer? Or were these vampires related to rats?

Luckily, Alvin was sure there were no vampires in the sewers of his three streets because Cobra Lily cleaned them out every few days. Even rats couldn't survive more than three days in those sewers, let alone vampires!

Curiosity aside, Alvin would never go into the sewer himself.

But the vampires in the sewer still needed to be dealt with. He wondered if those little turtles had a phone number or something. He could hook them up with some vampire-specific gear to help them clean out the vampires in the Hellfire Boulevard sewers!

Taking a sip of his drink, Alvin smiled and said to Frank and Steve, "We need to deal with the vampires. At the very least, they shouldn't be in Hellfire Boulevard.

I'll have Alvin notify all the gang leaders to be ready. Aleksei is gonna make a fortune again."

As he spoke, Alvin saw the old blind man from this morning walk into the restaurant, accompanied by an old acquaintance, Matt.

Frank didn't like Matt, so he signaled to Steve and left first.

Steve watched the two blind men sit down at the bar. He was curious!

These two blind men moved more naturally than a healthy person. From the moment they pushed the door open to sitting at the bar, they didn't pause at all, like they could see!

Alvin smiled and greeted Matt, "Hey, Matt. Long time no see! How've you been? Where did Colin run off to?

You know, Matt, I didn't kill her. I gave her a chance to atone, not to escape.

Or maybe she wasn't as good as you said?"

Matt hesitated with a troubled expression but eventually said, "They're in Japan. We've been tracking the whereabouts of those kids. I came back because of some important matters, but they stayed there.

Alvin, I get your anger, but Colin really isn't a bad person. She might've messed up, but she doesn't deserve to die!"

Alvin shook his head and said to Matt, "I'm not planning to kill her anymore. If she's as good as you say, her conscience will punish her. Her suffering will depend on her level of goodness.

Of course, it's also possible that your judgment is wrong. If that's the case, it'll be your joke, not mine.

You can let them know that the kids have been found. Ben is taking care of them, but the situation isn't great. These kids have been brainwashed, and their age and mental state aren't suitable for returning to school."

Alvin took a sip of beer and said, "Tell her it's time for her to atone!"
