Druid in the Marvel Universe Chapter 61: The Cool Principal

Sixty-three children wearing community school uniforms excitedly passed through a corridor formed by seventy-eight faculty members.

Everyone was clapping for these kids who had crawled out of hell!

This was the moment to see how popular someone was in school.

Old Parker had only been here for two months but had become the most popular person among the students.

Of course, a large part of his popularity was thanks to Frank.

Graduate Zack, who looked like a fierce grizzly bear, was the only graduate this year who didn't meet the ATC standards. However, he got into Texas A&M University because of his football skills. This huge, fierce-looking kid was hugging the short-statured Old Parker and crying like a girl.

Old Parker, looking like a monkey being hugged by a black bear, patted Zack's head with some effort and said, "Big Zack, take it easy in college. I'm waiting for you to get into the NFL and send me some tickets!"

Zack was crying and laughing like a fool. His dad was a murderer in prison, and his mom was a junkie. Zack grew up on the streets of Hell's Kitchen, and the only reason he stayed in school until the eleventh grade was because the school provided a free lunch.

It wasn't until Alvin took over the community school that Zack straightened out. Otherwise, he would likely have ended up like his dad, killing a few people and then going to prison.

Later, Zack joined the school football team. With an average of one concussion every 0.75 games, he earned the nickname "Bulldozer" and was highly sought after by many colleges.

In the end, it was his most respected Old Parker who chose Texas A&M University for him. Zack trusted Old Parker:

Because Old Parker took him to McDonald's for the first time.

Gave him his first pair of football shoes.

Gave him his first fatherly hug and told him he was great.

When he was in detention with Frank, Old Parker would secretly come and chat with him, telling him what life should be like in the future.

Not very good with words, Zack picked up Old Parker and spun him around, nodding heavily as if making a promise.

Frank felt very disappointed. All the kids were afraid of him, and no one wanted to say goodbye to him, even though this tough guy didn't seem to care.

Unexpectedly, as the sixty-three kids walked out of the corridor formed by the teachers and lined up to receive their diplomas from the principal,

Anton, the bearded man whose eyebrows Frank had shaved off with a whaling fork, suddenly shouted, "Salute!"

Sixty-three kids raised their right hands and gave Frank a ragged military salute, shouting "Custer, Custer, Custer" like the SS saluting their leader!

Custer, the old-fashioned soldier, blinked his moist eyes, trying hard not to let the tears fall. He waved his fist, threatening these kids who had embarrassed him, signaling them to get lost.

The kids didn't care about Frank's threats, laughing and joking as they lined up to say their final goodbyes to the school's principal.

First in line was Michael's son, Jamie.

Alvin solemnly handed him the bundled diploma and said, "Good job, kid! New York State University is a great school. Your dad is a great cop, don't let him down! Good luck!"

Jamie excitedly took the diploma, not daring to hug Alvin but instead bowing deeply and saying, "I promise! The school will be proud of me in the future!"

The second was Julie, the only student this year accepted by Harvard University, a thin girl with glasses.

Alvin remembered her; her dad was a drunk, and her mom was a prostitute.

It was Alvin who, along with JJ, took her out of that hellish home. Alvin even personally broke the legs of her drunk father who tried to force her into prostitution!

She was the most determined and resilient child Alvin had ever met. Unfortunately, she was born into such a family; otherwise, her life would have been different.

But now, she had worked hard to put herself on a bright path.

Taking the diploma, the girl hugged Alvin tightly, crying loudly like an orphan whose father had died and mother had remarried, though that might have been better for her.

Alvin comfortingly patted Julie's shoulder, smiled, and took an envelope from JJ, who was helping on the side, and handed it to Julie, saying:

"This is a sponsorship from our honorary principal, Mr. Tony Stark, for you kids in need. You should know him. He will sponsor you through college." Alvin joked, "That damn Harvard tuition bill made my scalp tingle. Luckily, our honorary principal is a billionaire."

The community school's graduation ceremony ended in laughter and tears.

Next was a grand party, with a high-end buffet sponsored by a hotel under the black boss Kingpin, flowing like water onto the playground.

A band took the stage and started playing music.

The scene was lively, with the only flaw being the students' ugly uniforms.

Peter, like a sneaky hamster, carried a large plate filled with food he had never eaten before, hurrying to an empty seat in the corner.

Peter was very pleased to attend such a cool graduation ceremony today!

Principal Alvin was so cool, "If you don't shut up, I'll make you shut up forever. I'm not kidding!" Principal Alvin was so cool when he said that, it was unbelievable.

And today's food was really great, a lot of it he had never eaten before, and it was delicious!

But why did the girl across from him seem so unhappy?

Naturally shy, Peter took two bites of the sweet mousse cake and saw a girl sitting across from him, with her uniform collar up and a wide-brimmed hat trying to cover her face.

Peter curiously asked, "Hi, I'm Peter, Peter Parker, in the eleventh grade. What's wrong?"

Always a pretty princess, Gwen looked at the country bumpkin in front of her, who managed to get cake all over his face, and said impatiently, "Nothing, I just hate this uniform."

Peter looked at her and then at his own uniform, finding nothing wrong. The silly boy said, "What's wrong? It's fine! Did your clothes tear? If you want, I can lend you mine, but you have to return it."

Gwen felt there must be some misunderstanding between her and the silly boy in front of her because their thoughts were not on the same wavelength at all. Gwen curiously asked, "Don't you think the uniform is ugly? And you said you're in the eleventh grade, why have I never seen you before?"

Peter stuffed a big piece of cake into his mouth, shrugged, and said, "I think it's fine. Even if it's ugly, it's better than wearing second-hand clothes. I think you look good in the uniform too. Oh, I just transferred here and will officially join the community school in September. By the way, Principal Alvin is really cool!"

Gwen "oh"ed, feeling a bit sympathetic for this optimistic silly boy. Wait until you meet Frank in the detention room, then decide if you still want to be so happy!
