Druid in the Marvel Universe Chapter 94: Secret Stash Hmph!
Alvin received a call from the bank at five in the afternoon, informing him that $530,000 had been deposited into his account!
This made Alvin very happy. He had been in this world for three years, and his bank savings had finally exceeded six figures, and the money came so easily! Mr. Stark is such a great guy!
The next day, the whole family called two taxis and headed straight to the largest car dealership in New York.
The generous Alvin decided to give everyone a $10,000 grant to buy whatever car they wanted! Consider it a bonus!
Jessica was now the second richest person in the family. The Stark stock market had earned her nearly $40,000. Adding Alvin's $10,000 grant, she was considering whether to buy a convertible Mustang sports car!
JJ and Frank were less fortunate. The two broke guys, who hadn't made much money, calculated for a long time and decided to pool their $20,000 grant from Alvin to buy an MPV, a minivan for housewives. Hmm, spacious and low-key!
Alvin actually knew that Frank had some savings and could at least afford a decent car.
But ever since Frank saw Misty's mechanical hand, he had been thinking about saving money to get Nick a mechanical leg! Stark Industries' lab stuff isn't cheap!
Alvin had planned to visit Stark a few days ago. Although he didn't know how much it would cost to get Nick a transitional mechanical prosthetic, he still had some special camouflage gear seized from the Hand, which should be worth a lot of money from Stark, right?
Nick was like a son to both Alvin and Frank, and Alvin had no reason to stop a father from saving money for his son. That wouldn't be right!
On the way, Alvin noticed Steve's cheerful demeanor. It seemed his pension was quite substantial. A man's pocket fullness usually reflects on his face.
Judging by expressions alone, compared to JJ and Frank, Steve was at least a millionaire!
At the dealership, everyone scattered to find the vehicles they liked.
Alvin carried Ginny, walking and looking around.
The dealership was indeed large, and Alvin's attire didn't make him look like someone with a six-figure bank balance. So no salespeople approached him to pitch cars.
Alvin thought this was great; it allowed him to look around more. He didn't know much about cars; his only requirement was that they looked good. After all, it was just a means of transportation. Buying a luxury car in Hell's Kitchen and worrying about it every day made no sense!
Nick and Frank walked around and found that Frank and JJ's target was actually an MPV. Nick decisively abandoned the two broke guys, hobbled over to Steve, and helped him decide what car to buy!
Alvin walked around and was attracted to a black Mercedes SUV.
The boxy body, angular design, and thick tires gave it a powerful look that Alvin really liked!
He consulted Ginny's opinion. Hmm, if Dad likes it, she likes it too. Good girl! So that's the one!
He waved to a dealership staff member to indicate he wanted the car, only to find that everyone's attention was on Steve.
Curious, he walked over and found that the flashy Steve was sitting on a sizable Harley motorcycle, wearing a leather jacket that probably came with the bike.
Alvin didn't feel whether Steve looked handsome, but judging by the excited looks of all the women around, who seemed ready to scream, and the envious glances from the men, he probably did!
Steve was also very satisfied with his choice. He remembered Alvin telling him about riding a motorcycle across America, seeing the scenery, and experiencing the local culture!
JJ's eyes were red with jealousy. What scenery, what culture, he didn't know. He only knew that riding this bike out would definitely make one-night stands a breeze!
Alvin shook his head with a smile, grabbed a staff member, and got the car he had his eye on.
The dealership's service was decent. If the customer didn't have special license plate requirements, the car could be driven home the same day. They even threw in a two-year insurance policy!
When everyone gathered at the dealership entrance, Alvin noticed that the little rich girl Jessica had bought herself a pink BMW Z4.
Jessica parked her car next to JJ's MPV and revved the engine provocatively.
Frank didn't care much about the car. He was past the age of liking fancy cars. He just gave Jessica a thumbs-up and said, "Nice car."
JJ, on the other hand, pretended not to see Jessica's provocation. He was a bit angry and shouted to Alvin, "Boss, I want a raise!"
For such a request, Alvin, of course, pretended not to hear. The principal had a condition of intermittent deafness!
On the way back, the cheerful Steve rode his Harley at the front.
Alvin found that his car couldn't quite keep up with him. Everyone who saw Steve along the way was attracted to this super cool, rugged man!
But it was one thing for the women to look at him with girlish fantasies, why were so many men also staring at him? What was going on?
Alvin endured JJ's complaints all the way back to the restaurant and parked the car.
Alvin looked at JJ with a cold smile and called the feisty nurse Temple.
"Hello, Temple, this is Alvin!"
...
"Yes, I have something to tell you. JJ, that bastard, has several thousand dollars in savings now, but he doesn't want to buy you a ring. He wants to buy a Harley motorcycle instead!"
...
"Of course, I stopped him. Listen, beautiful, I don't think it's a good idea for that bastard to have money on him. You need to do something about it!"
...
Alvin hung up the phone, looked back at the ashen-faced JJ, raised his eyebrows, and said, "See, buddy, I'm a responsible boss. I found a good use for your savings!"
JJ's eyes widened, his mouth opening and closing, trembling as he said, "Boss, are you the devil?"
Alvin pursed his lips, tilted his head, and smiled, "Yes, I'm a kind devil!"
JJ clutched his head in pain and shouted, "That's my savings for over a year! I was planning to get myself a Challenger next year! It's all ruined!"
Alvin patted JJ's shoulder with a smile and said, "I think that MPV suits your temperament. Maybe you can persuade Temple to buy herself a Challenger. I think Temple suits that car better than you do!
That way, maybe you can occasionally enjoy it, haha!"
Alvin happily got out of the car, walked to the passenger seat, and took Ginny out, leaving JJ to mourn in the car!
At the restaurant entrance, he saw everyone gathered around, watching a fool in a red and black Bruce Lee training outfit playing with nunchucks!
Alvin always thought that no one but Bruce Lee could make that outfit look good and imposing!
So anyone else wearing that outfit out, Alvin considered them a fool!
But others didn't see it that way!
Nick was already excitedly throwing away his crutch, digging into his dad's wallet, wanting to give a tip!
