Druid in the Marvel Universe Chapter 32: I'm Not Scary, Am I?
At the edge of Hell's Kitchen, near the docks, JJ parked the car by the roadside. Not far away, several giant wolves, like ghosts, avoided the dim streetlights and surrounded a warehouse.
Alvin noticed a figure in a red and black tight suit on the roof of a neighboring warehouse, waving in his direction.
Alvin mentally criticized the guy's fashion sense. Is it really appropriate for a young, unmarried man to wear a tight suit?
He ignored this backup member who insisted on joining the fun.
Alvin contacted Raven and frowned. Inside was a gathering point for stowaways, with quite a few people being picked out like livestock by several target creatures. Those selected were happily following them to the second floor.
You all managed to smuggle yourselves into New York, so why stay here?
The targets were in the second-floor office, around ten of them.
After explaining the situation to JJ and Frank, he asked what they should do.
Frank grinned and asked, "Do you want to capture them all alive, or is one enough?" His expression was like that of an experienced slaughterhouse worker asking if you wanted tenderloin or ribs.
Alvin thought for a moment and said, "Let's capture two, just to be safe."
Frank nodded and said, "Then JJ and I will go upstairs and drive two down. You lock the warehouse door to prevent anyone inside from escaping in the chaos." Frank's casual demeanor made it seem like he was going to catch chickens.
Alvin shook his head and said, "I'll go up with you. Thor and the others can stay outside. I thought it was just a couple of small fries, but it turns out it's a whole meeting of them. I want to have some fun with these things!" He waved the kukri in his hand, looking like a gangster eager to start a fight.
Frank, unsure of Alvin's combat abilities, glanced at JJ, who looked like a starstruck fan, admiring Alvin and coveting his kukri.
That should be fine then.
Frank pulled out a U-lock from the car and quietly locked the warehouse door from the outside.
The three of them climbed the iron stairs outside the warehouse to the second floor. Alvin closed his eyes and communicated with Raven, discovering a guy dressed like a punk rock singer smoking marijuana against the wall behind the door.
With blood-red eyes and fangs showing at the corners of his mouth, if this wasn't a vampire, Alvin thought he might as well not have eyes.
He stopped JJ from kicking the door open. Joking aside, how would they close the door to fight the vampire if it was broken?
He signaled the two to ambush by the door and straightened his collar. He gently knocked on the door, "Hello, your pizza delivery!"
The iron door opened a crack from the inside, and the punk singer peered out with blood-red eyes. Alvin noticed there was no security chain and smiled even wider.
JJ quickly moved to the door, and with a powerful shoulder shove, the entire iron door was flung open. The unfortunate vampire was slammed against the wall along with the door.
With the vampire's head sticking out between the wall and the door, the noise was minimal thanks to the flesh cushion.
Seeing the unlucky vampire bleeding from all orifices and unable to make a sound, Frank gained a new appreciation for JJ's strength, likening him to a human pile driver.
The three entered and closed the door. Alvin grabbed the punk singer by the hair and signaled the others to watch.
With a light slash of the kukri across the punk singer's neck, an orange-red glow expanded from the wound. Within seconds, the punk singer burned to ashes from the inside out, leaving no environmental impact.
JJ and Frank were a bit surprised. JJ looked at Alvin's kukri, compared it to his small knife, and his eyes grew even more resentful.
Frank checked the floor and found only a bit of black ash. He softly asked, "Are they all like this? They're too fragile."
Alvin glanced at the corridor corner ahead and seriously whispered, "Don't let them bite you. Ordinary weapons can't kill them. Use the weapons I gave you."
Frank and JJ didn't question Alvin, knowing he wouldn't harm them, and tightened their grip on their Remingtons.
They quietly approached a room with red lighting. Through the corridor window, Alvin saw a scene that made his blood boil.
In the dim red light, about ten vampires each held a woman, likely stowaways, in an open orgy. In the corner, two vampires who had finished early were feeding. The two women being fed on had eerie smiles on their faces as they slowly died.
Alvin signaled and approached the door with JJ, while Frank guarded the window with Alvin's Glock 17.
He stopped JJ from kicking the door and angrily stomped on it himself. The iron door flew into the room, slamming a well-fed vampire against the wall.
The unfortunate vampire's full stomach burst from the pressure, spraying blood in a radial pattern and staining a large area of the wall. Despite this, the vampire wasn't dead, its body still writhing behind the door.
The women in the room screamed in terror and huddled in the corner. With the women present, the shotgun wasn't ideal, so JJ used his Remington as a club in his left hand and a 1911 in his right, going on a killing spree.
Frank broke the window and used the Glock 17 for precise shots.
The rune-engraved "Aed" firearms were highly effective against vampires. No need for precise aiming; just hitting a vampire would turn it to ash.
Several quick-reacting vampires, unwilling to face the god of death-like JJ, charged naked at Alvin.
Alvin, wielding his kukri, cast "Spirit of Thorns" on himself and charged. No fancy moves or techniques, just slashing at any vampire he saw. He dodged dangerous attacks and took minor ones. With 20 points in strength and agility, he was no joke.
Of the five charging vampires, three turned to ash, and the other two found their attacks on Alvin ineffective, while they mysteriously accumulated wounds. They screamed in fear, trying to rally their comrades against this terrifying enemy.
Alvin ignored their futile resistance, chasing them down with his kukri. He grabbed one vampire by the hair and viciously stabbed it in the waist, causing it to scream and tremble as it burned from the inside.
Another vampire took advantage of Alvin's distraction to claw at his neck with all its strength, only to find a strange ripple in the air and a massive wound on its own body.
Alvin turned with a menacing grin and slashed the vampire in half, turning it to ash.
Seeing the remaining vampires dwindling, Alvin took out his net gun and ensnared one.
He walked up to the struggling vampire and kicked its face, causing its red eyes to pop out like spring-loaded toys, only to be crushed by JJ.
The vampires finally realized that Alvin, who wasn't using a gun, was the most terrifying. The last three vampires huddled together and desperately charged the door.
JJ, guarding the door, grinned and shot one dead, causing the remaining two to turn towards the window.
Frank, who had been doing support work, was furious. What, I'm not scary?
Let's change "Big Apple" to "New York."
Even now, I still want to change "Big Apple" to "New York." I'm typing on my phone, and "New York" is easier to type and more immersive.
If it affects the reading experience, please bear with me!
If I have time, I'll change the earlier parts too!
Thanks for understanding!
