Druid in the Marvel Universe Chapter 40: Is Dracula a Duck?

Director Fury heard Alvin's slightly provocative words, grinned with his disproportionately large mouth, revealing his pearly white teeth, and said with a smile, "A mix of vengeful spirits and fresh blood should be a good choice."

Alvin pursed his lips, tilted his head, and obligingly poured him a glass of beer and a glass of whiskey, saying, "Then hurry up and drink, and get out of here. Honestly, buddy, it's hard for me to like you."

Fury laughed heartily and said, "Why? Because I don't have a sexy big butt?" He laughed loudly, thinking he had made a great joke.

Alvin looked at Director Fury with a bit of indifference, his smile losing warmth, and said, "I'm a hospitable person, but you're definitely not on my guest list."

Fury asked with interest, "Why? Because of Stark's antics on TV these past few days? Or are you racist?" He exaggeratedly widened his one eye, looking at Alvin with the curiosity of a child.

Alvin poured himself a glass of whiskey with ice, looked coldly at Fury, and said, "Frank told me that one of his close comrades, a very influential person, the director of S.H.I.E.L.D., Nick Fury, helped him out of trouble after he avenged himself on the mob. The price was not to go after some government officials." He downed the whiskey in one gulp, looking at Fury with a "what's the big deal?" expression.

"Frank trusted this guy so much that he even named his son Nick. But when Frank's wife was blown up and his son lost a leg, where was this influential son of a bitch?"

Alvin slammed his fist heavily on the bar, "When Frank was deceived and sent on a mission, where was this son of a bitch?" Alvin's eyes were like a hawk's, staring into Fury's one eye, "When Nick was lying crippled in a hospital bed, where was this son of a bitch?"

The playful smile on Fury's face disappeared, and he looked at Alvin with a hard expression, angrily saying, "Then let me tell you where that son of a bitch was."

He glanced at Frank, whose expression was complicated, "When the explosion happened, that son of a bitch was in Europe chasing a bunch of terrorists. When Nick was in the hospital, that son of a bitch was in the Middle East dealing with a chemical weapons crisis. When Frank was avenging himself, that son of a bitch was cleaning up his mess."

Fury stared angrily at Alvin, "To protect Nick, that son of a bitch altered the records of the guy who adopted him, making his best agent here a laughingstock to this day."

Fury slammed the table forcefully and shouted at Alvin, "You tell me, where was that son of a bitch?"

Alvin looked at Fury mockingly and said coldly, "That son of a bitch, so high up, was too busy to even make a phone call? Knowing his comrade's wife had died and his son was injured, he couldn't even visit? Knowing how cruel it was to send Frank on a mission at that time, this high-up son of a bitch couldn't say a word for him?"

Fury didn't back down, angrily saying, "We are all public servants. Serving the country is his duty. It's mine too. All my time is spent protecting the entire planet."

Alvin spread his hands and sneered, "See, that's the difference between us. So you're not my friend. Please don't intrude during my family gatherings next time. Now!" He glanced at Fury and the helpless Coulson, pointing to the door, "Get out!"

Realizing the fundamental difference in their views, Fury put on a businesslike face and said, "I'm not here to convince you, Alvin. I'm just here to remind you that vampires are a big problem. Get out while you still can."

Alvin looked at Fury with amusement and said, "I find it hard to understand why the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. would say this to me. I thought, at least on the issue of vampires, we should be on the same side. Isn't S.H.I.E.L.D.'s job to deal with this kind of thing?"

Director Fury glanced at Frank, who was drinking sullenly, and sighed helplessly, "It's hard to explain the complexities to you. You can kill all the vampires you see and face the possible retaliation. You have that ability. But you can't expose them to the public. S.H.I.E.L.D. has a department specifically for hunting down criminal vampires to limit their harm to humans."

Alvin didn't understand politics and didn't want to think about the complexities. He had a simple idea: wolves and sheep will never be friends; they are natural enemies. The relationship between humans and vampires is the same. Alvin found it hard to understand why so many people in his previous life liked vampires and thought they were cool. And why, in this life, there were so many "vampire fans."

But Alvin's power was limited. Stark also fled to Afghanistan to test his new missiles due to external pressure.

After thinking for a moment, Alvin said, "Dealing with them is your job. I only kill them when they appear around me! Because—" He grabbed a Remington from behind the bar and fired a shot at the door, "this is my turf!"

A handsome figure was blasted out of thin air.

With dark brown curly short hair, a chiseled handsome face, and a pair of sexy mustaches, his slightly lean and rugged body was dressed in a custom-made suit clearly crafted by a master.

Alvin's shot didn't harm him. A black ripple flashed in front of him, blocking the bullet.

The mustached man didn't feel embarrassed at all for being blasted out of thin air. He twirled his cane gracefully, behaving like a refined British gentleman, nodding to everyone present.

He walked to the bar, first nodding to Fury, then looking at Alvin, smiling, and said, "Perhaps you could get me a blood whiskey first." He had an air of complete control.

Facing this unexpected guest, Alvin remained calm. This kind of entrance didn't pressure him. If the guy wore a blue tight suit with red underwear on the outside, maybe Alvin would be scared.

Alvin smiled, poured him a glass of whiskey, handed it to him, and asked, "I'm Alvin, the owner of the Peace Hotel. Who might you be?"

The mustached handsome man took the whiskey, sipped it, and chuckled, "You may not have heard of my name. I'm Vlad Dracula, a Hungarian count."

Alvin covered his mouth in surprise and said, "I always thought Dracula was a duck!"
