Druid in the Marvel Universe Chapter 44: What Exactly Did Frank Do?

Alvin, in a great mood, greeted Ben Parker with a smile and said, "Old buddy, being an electrical engineer at a community school is no easy job. You'll be busy with these little rascals."

Ben Parker was a bit surprised to see the notorious, brutal principal being so friendly. He laughed and said, "This place is great, Principal. I've been here for three days, and I've never seen a school where the kids are so well-behaved. You know, I have a nephew who's going to be a junior next year. I'm considering whether to have him transfer here."

It was the first time Alvin had heard someone voluntarily wanting to send their child to the community school. Curious, he asked, "Old buddy, I'm glad to hear you say that. Can you tell me why? It might help with our future admissions. Anyway, I have to say you have a good eye."

Old Parker was delighted and said with a smile, "I've been here for three days, and the learning atmosphere here is something I've never seen anywhere else. My goodness, if I had gone to a school like this, I wouldn't be an electrical engineer. Maybe I would have gone to Harvard and found an office job on Wall Street."

Alvin happily shook hands with Old Parker and said with a smile, "See, there's always someone who can see the benefits of our school at a glance. Old buddy, where are you living now? I haven't seen you around Hell's Kitchen."

Old Parker smiled shyly and said, "I'm living in Queens now, not too far. It's convenient to drive here."

Alvin nodded and said, "Oh, that's not close. Old buddy, you might consider moving to Hell's Kitchen. The security in the 24th to 26th street area is very good now. You're not young anymore, and driving an hour and a half to work every day isn't easy."

Old Parker didn't respond immediately but thought for a moment and said, "I'll think about it. It's not something I can decide right away. I have to consider my wife and nephew's opinions. Maybe if my nephew transfers here in September, I'll sell the old house and settle down here."

Alvin nodded with a smile and said, "That's right, old buddy. You need to be prepared. What's your nephew's name?"

Old Parker said with a bit of pride, "Peter, Peter Parker. He's a good kid, very good grades, but my salary can't afford a good tutor for him. Otherwise, he'd be even better!"

Alvin nodded habitually, then suddenly paused and looked carefully at Old Parker. He said, "Buddy, what did you say your name was? I didn't hear it clearly."

Old Parker looked kindly at Alvin and said, "Ben Parker, sir. You can call me Old Parker."

Alvin knocked his head, how could he forget this person? "With great power comes great responsibility." This man created the most outstanding and beloved superhero in the Marvel universe. He is more worthy of respect than many so-called superheroes. He is a truly good person.

Alvin shook hands with Old Parker again, very formally, and said seriously, "Old buddy, would you mind doing a bit more work? Of course, there will be extra pay."

Old Parker looked at Alvin in confusion and said a bit flustered, "I don't mind, I don't mind, but there's no need for extra pay. I like it here, and the income is enough. I'm happy to do more for the school."

Alvin smiled sincerely, looking at the kind old man in front of him, almost unable to resist applauding his own idea. He said with a smile, "What I need you to do isn't an easy job. The disciplinary office needs someone kind like you to clean up after Frank. He's been on the job for a week, and several parents have already called me, saying their kids have been wetting their pants for days after coming home. Old buddy, I think just being tough isn't good enough. It's not a good reputation to have people saying that kids from the community school always wet their pants." He looked sincerely into Old Parker's eyes, "I need your help, old buddy, even if it's just for the sake of these kids!"

Old Parker had lived an ordinary life, and it was the first time someone told him he was important and needed here. This gave him a great sense of accomplishment and moved him deeply!

"If what you say is true, then of course, I'm willing, Principal. I now believe you're not the person the rumors say you are." Old Parker said seriously.

Alvin laughed and hugged Old Parker, saying, "Then, welcome aboard! You'll leave your mark in the school's history, I'm sure."

Alvin didn't really care much about Peter Parker, the future kid swinging around New York. He preferred Old Parker, this wise old man, not wise in knowledge but in the broad-mindedness forged by life. He hoped Old Parker could influence more people, rather than using his life to create a Spider-Man.

Turning around, he picked up his lucky star, little Ginny, and greeted Old Parker, feeling even better. The kids rushing past him didn't seem so annoying anymore. With a spring in his step, he walked towards the school building. Today must be my lucky day! It must be!

At the entrance of the school building, students were lined up neatly, walking inside. There was no more chasing, running, pushing, or shoving. Although it was still lively, it was orderly.

Alvin's arrival quieted the entire front of the building. Principal Nelson saw Alvin and came up with a sweet smile on his face. He happily praised Frank, "Principal Alvin, we have an amazing head of the disciplinary office. I was initially hesitant about setting up this department, but now it seems you were right!"

This guy clearly had a hard time with these kids when he was working at the school. Now, finally, someone could keep these troublemakers in check, making his life much easier. After all, Principal Alvin, though scary, wasn't often at the school!

Alvin looked at the sly old Nelson and said with a smile, "It seems you're very satisfied with Frank's work, which means he's well-suited for the position. But I just met an electrical engineer at the door. His name is Ben Parker. Do you know him?"

Nelson looked at Alvin cautiously and said, "I hired him. The school really needs an electrical engineer, and his salary requirements aren't high."

Alvin waved his hand and said with a smile, "Don't be nervous, Nelson buddy. Old Parker is a good guy. I just hope he can take on an additional role in the disciplinary office."

Nelson breathed a sigh of relief and said with some confusion, "That's no problem, but why? Old Parker can't keep these bad kids in check."

Alvin knocked his head in frustration and said helplessly, "Yesterday, a few bosses from Hell's Kitchen called me and said if their kids come home wetting their pants, they'll bring guns to school. Buddy, tell me, what exactly did Frank do?"
