Druid in the Marvel Universe Chapter 37: My Reinforcements

The bar was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. Everyone watched the vampire, miserably shaking the remaining quarter of its face, turning to ashes in the sunlight.

And the vampire Alvin mentioned actually lived around them? This was too thrilling!

Kingpin was the first to snap out of it and said, "So, Boss Alvin, you came here for this kind of thing?" His tone was a bit disdainful.

Alvin nodded, his face serious, and said to Kingpin, "Don't underestimate them. When there's no sun, they're hard to kill. Silver weapons only work if you hit them. Plus, they're very fast and quite strong. If you don't believe me, ask Bullseye, that fool."

Ignoring Bullseye's dagger-like glare, Alvin thought, "This guy looked like he was facing a great enemy when he came, must have suffered a loss."

Kingpin didn't ask; he could tell from Bullseye's expression that Alvin was right.

"So, how do you want to handle this?" Kingpin was straightforward. Since these things survive by sucking human blood, they were natural enemies, and the only outcome should be to eliminate them. No need to ask anything else.

That's how a mob boss operates. Kingpin nodded, and everyone else eagerly nodded in agreement. No joke, these things lived around them. If one day they or their family got bitten, it would be a huge injustice.

Alvin sometimes liked dealing with these mobsters. As long as you could convince them, their execution ability was higher than many Fortune 500 companies.

Alvin smiled and said, "It's simple. Hell's Kitchen isn't big. My three big dogs can cover it in a day. You guys follow them and drag the vampires in your territories out into the sunlight!" He pointed at Kingpin, "You don't like me going into your territories, so I'll wait at my restaurant for your good news! Remember, ordinary weapons are useless; you need silver weapons."

Everyone looked at each other, not knowing what to do or where to find silver weapons.

A tall, burly Russian with a full beard reacted quickly. He grabbed a silver candlestick from behind the bar and waved it around. This thing, with the candles removed, was a decent weapon. He gestured to Alvin.

Alvin gave him a thumbs up in appreciation. Alvin knew this guy, a Russian mob boss named Alexei who sold arms. Alvin had bought his first P226 pistol from him. Unexpectedly, this guy was quick-witted.

Thinking for a moment, Alvin said to Alexei, "Buddy, I remember you have a bullet reloading kit at home. Melt down some silverware to make bullet heads. You can definitely sell them for a good price these days. The bosses here aren't short on cash!"

Alexei laughed heartily and gave Alvin a hug, thanking him for the idea! He immediately called his men to bring all the silverware from home to melt down and make bullet heads for reloading. Big business was coming.

With the immediate problem solved, everyone relaxed and prepared to discuss where to start the search. After all, there were only three ghost wolves. Everyone wanted to find and eliminate the vampires in their territories first.

Alvin didn't bother with them. Kingpin, the big boss, would naturally arrange these things. Although he no longer lived in Hell's Kitchen, he also needed to contribute to this matter.

Feeling a bit bored, Alvin thought about leaving early to prepare lunch for Ginny.

"Bang!" The bar door was slammed open.

Everyone looked over to see who had the guts to cause trouble at this time. The bodyguards brought by the bosses all reached into their jackets, ready to draw their guns.

The wooden door was pushed open by a giant black wolf, with a cute, fluffy-haired little girl in a server's uniform, about five or six years old, sitting on its back. She barged in just like that.

Facing the gazes of the bosses around her, the little girl sat on the giant wolf's back, undaunted, wrinkling her nose, baring her teeth, and letting out a childish growl, her fists clenched, like a young wolf ready to fight.

Alvin exclaimed, "Oh my!" and quickly walked over, picking up the little girl. "Ginny, what are you doing here? Where's Jessica?"

Ginny, in Alvin's arms, still stared at the bosses in the bar, waving her hands threateningly.

Without turning her head, she answered Alvin's question, "Daddy, fight, Ginny help Daddy, Thor help Daddy."

Alvin's nose tingled. Indeed, she was his daughter, already knowing to help her dad in a fight and even bringing Thor as backup. She would definitely be successful in the future.

He kissed Ginny's face hard and said, "Ginny, you're Daddy's good girl. So sweet. How did you know I was here?"

Ginny waved her little fists and said domineeringly, "Old Kent said, Daddy, negotiation, Ginny help Daddy, fight."

Alvin was very satisfied. The little girl couldn't even speak properly but knew to help her dad in a fight. She was worth all the love!

Alvin comforted little Ginny, holding her to his chest, proudly looking around at the mob bosses. He said proudly, "See, this is my daughter, my last reinforcement!"

Everyone was stunned for a moment, then burst into laughter. Although it was a misunderstanding, the scene was really interesting.

Alexei, who had just benefited from Alvin, took off a silver cross with a ruby from his neck. He handed it to Ginny, signaling her to accept it.

Ginny was puzzled, looking at her dad. She came to fight, so why was she getting a gift?

Alvin, already so happy he forgot his own name, smiled and nodded to Alexei, signaling Ginny to accept it.

Ginny foolishly took the silver cross and hung it around her neck, holding it in her hand, which made fighting inconvenient.

Alexei, playing along, performed a knight's salute and said, "Welcome, my princess!"

Alvin smiled, shook hands with Alexei, and said, "Buddy, trust me, Ginny is worth being called a princess." Then he looked coldly at everyone present and said firmly, "I mean it!"

The mob bosses present didn't need to argue with Alvin over a title. They all politely applauded Ginny. This little girl indeed had guts. If it were their own kids, they would have wet their pants by now!

The tall and burly Kingpin, his eyes filled with envy, walked slowly to Alvin, looking at Ginny with the expression of a kind, honest elder. He grinned, showing his thick lips and the most sincere smile, and said, "Nice to meet you, little princess of Hell's Kitchen."
