Druid in the Marvel Universe Chapter 133: Thor Must Be a Trouble

Professor Nicolas was always buzzing with energy, rocking his cowboy getup alongside Domingo, looking like they just stepped out of a Wild West flick.

Chilling at a table in the hotel restaurant, Professor Nicolas hollered at Alvin, "Yo, Alvin! When'd you roll in? Get over here and grab some grub."

Alvin gave Phil a nod, jogged over to Professor Nicolas, and fist-bumped Domingo. He grumbled, "Seriously, old man? Can you chill with the cowboy cosplay?

And for real, stay put this time. The school's crawling with students!

You gotta stick around a bit longer, man!"

Professor Nicolas let out a hearty laugh, "Alvin, you cheeky bastard! But I dig you, haha! You're right, it's not as wild as back in the day!"

Alvin sighed and smirked, "Why's a math geek like you always on the move?

Get your butt back to school! Heard we got some new senior teachers, and you gotta check 'em out. Can't trust that clown Nelson to bring in decent folks!

I got you that fancy supercomputer, make it count. Haven't seen any of those brainiacs you promised!"

All fired up, Professor Nicolas waved him off, "I'll head back today. First thing, I'll shoot out an email. I can still round up a dozen sharp minds! Just watch!"

Nicolas sounded like a retired mob boss bragging to Alvin.

Alvin just grinned, munching on his Mexican-style breakfast while listening to Professor Nicolas's tall tales.

A worn-out Professor Eric and his two students shuffled into the restaurant.

Jane's eyes lit up when she spotted Alvin. From Phil's chatter, she knew the principal of Lincoln Valley School was a big deal. She was debating whether to ask him for help to spring Thor!

After a moment of hesitation, Jane gathered her nerve and approached Alvin, "Hey, Alvin, can you do me a solid?"

Alvin frowned, recognizing her. She'd come with Professor Eric to help set up the supercomputer, and she kinda looked like "Matilda."

But you guys got into a mess and almost dragged Professor Nicolas into it, which ticked Alvin off. Now she wanted his help? This girl had zero social skills; didn't she see her mentor just eating quietly?

Out of basic politeness, Alvin smiled, "Spill it, but no promises I can help."

Jane, looking all anxious, said, "Can you help Thor? He's just a bit off his rocker; he hasn't done anything wrong. Can you talk to Phil and get him to let Thor go?

I think he's really bummed out and pitiful right now!"

Alvin was floored, "What did you say? Who do you want me to spring?"

Jane, thinking she had a shot, said excitedly, "Thor, he said his name is Thor."

Alvin, feeling a headache coming on, rubbed his temples. He hadn't watched Thor's standalone movie in his past life, and now someone was asking him to help a guy named Thor. This was giving him a major headache, and he had a bad feeling about it.

Clinging to a sliver of hope, Alvin whispered, "Can you tell me what exactly he was trying to swipe?"

Jane thought for a moment and said, "It seems to be a hammer!"

Alvin brushed off Jane and turned to Professor Nicolas, "Yo, old buddy, we gotta bounce. I got a bad vibe about this."

Then, looking at Domingo, he said, "Domingo, pack your stuff, pronto!"

Domingo, almost done with his meal, nodded and bolted upstairs to pack.

Professor Nicolas, on the other hand, kept munching on his breakfast, not in a rush. He trusted Alvin's instincts but figured, "Eh, let's finish eating first."

Alvin strolled to the hotel entrance and checked out the car where Thor was being held. A big dude with long blonde hair sat in the back, looking all defeated and handcuffed.

Considering his name was Thor, it had to be him.

Phil, noticing Alvin eyeing Thor, hurried over, "Alvin, we can't let this guy go. He tried to swipe something major from S.H.I.E.L.D.!"

Alvin glanced at Phil. He used to think this guy was cool in the movies, but after meeting him, he realized Phil could lie without flinching. What "important item" from S.H.I.E.L.D.? Did the owner even agree? But Alvin didn't care about that!

After a moment, Alvin said, "You should get him outta here, fast. I got a bad feeling about this!"

Phil, looking jittery, asked, "Do you know something about him?"

Alvin shook his head, "Nah, but seeing this Thor dude, it looks like he's lost his powers. When he gets them back, there's gonna be a big mess!

I don't know where, but staying far away sounds smart. Thor might survive, but regular folks? Not so much!"

"I don't know, man, but if I were you, I'd get him as far away as possible!

I can feel this guy is bad news!"

Alvin's words made Phil even more nervous. He knew Alvin was special and wasn't trying to free Thor, just advising him to take Thor away.

It was like having a ticking time bomb and being told to move it far away. This made Phil uneasy. They were S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, not expendable!

Phil shook his head, "We'll take him to our branch in California. Some of the stuff he said is pretty wild. Since you think he's dangerous, we'll be extra careful!"

Alvin was stunned, "Where's your branch in California? Don't tell me it's in L.A.!"

Phil nodded, "Yeah, it's in L.A. Not far from where we met a few days ago!"

Alvin pulled out his phone and called Tony, "Hey, man, do me a favor. Get Megan, Jessica, and Ginny back to New York. You should head back too.

Can your plane take my car back as well?"

"Are you nuts? My car's got less than twelve thousand miles on it.

Trust me, at least get the girls outta L.A. first!"

"Don't ask me what's up, I don't know either!"

Phil was fuming. Alvin's nonchalant attitude about S.H.I.E.L.D. agents' lives ticked him off!

"Alvin, you gotta tell me what's going on, or I'll take this guy and follow you!" Phil shouted, pissed.

Alvin hung up, looked at him, and sneered, "You look pretty amateur for a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent!

I thought big-shot organizations like yours were supposed to be top-notch!"
