The young and handsome Ward Meachum clearly recognized Alvin. He politely apologized to Jessica and then extended his hand to shake Alvin's.

Introducing himself, he said, "Hello, Principal Alvin. My name is Ward Meachum, and I am the current CEO of Rand Corporation. It's a pleasure to meet you."

Alvin looked at this guy named Ward and felt inexplicably uncomfortable, thinking this guy didn't seem like a good person.

Ward pointed to the location where Alvin had long planned to build the school dormitory. "I thought, since we will be neighbors in the future, it would be best to pay a visit in advance. It's more appropriate that way!"

Alvin's face had turned icy cold by now, and he said in a voice that could freeze the air, "That piece of land has already been registered with the city government for the community school's student dormitory. Why are you now telling me it's Rand Corporation's land?"

Alvin pointed to his ear and said, "Is there something wrong with my ears, or is there something wrong with your brain?"

Ward didn't mind Alvin's tone and said somewhat smugly, "A registration is just a registration. A city councilman believes that building student dormitories for the community school is a waste of resources. It should be used to generate greater value, like building a factory. So—"

The condescending expression on Ward's face was something Alvin had only seen on the faces of demolition office leaders in his previous life.

Knowing what was going on, Alvin didn't want to waste any more words with Ward. This guy had taken the school's land and was now flaunting it in front of the school principal. What was there to talk about?

The kids and parents at the scene didn't panic; they were used to such scenes on the chaotic streets of Hell's Kitchen. Instead, the teachers, who were all hired from outside, were in a mess.

A few responsible teachers were organizing the evacuation of the kids, although the kids didn't seem scared.

Some older kids even comforted a few screaming female teachers, saying, "It's okay, this is normal in Hell's Kitchen. It's safe now."

At the moment the gunshot rang out, Old Parker instinctively turned and hugged Zack, trying to push his big head down, like a monkey trying to shield a bear from a bullet.

Zack enjoyed Old Parker's embrace, but they looked quite awkward.

Zack broke free from Old Parker's arms and comforted him, saying, "It's okay, Old Parker. That guy has been subdued. It's safe now."

Ghost Wolf Thor sniffed the air, turned, and pounced on another kid in a school uniform, tearing the uniform with his sharp claws, and a gun fell out.

JJ's eyes were about to pop out. How dare this kid? This was the most important day for the community school!

If anger could ignite, Alvin felt his rage could burn New York to the ground.

He had worked hard to run the school, only to have someone tell him his land was gone.

Then one of his students pulled out a gun to kill the honorary principal of his school.

Ignoring the guy named Ward, Alvin rushed to the scene where Frank was holding the two kids by their necks.

Alvin said painfully, "People in Hell's Kitchen are not good people, but how dare you—how dare you betray your own school—"

Alvin grabbed one kid by the collar, lifting him off the ground, his eyes glowing with a terrifying light, and angrily said, "Tell me, why? You know the fate of traitors in Hell's Kitchen!"

The two kids were trembling with fear but said nothing, just lowered their heads, waiting for Alvin's judgment.

Chief George ran over and said to Alvin, "Alvin, hand them over to the police. I've already notified Misty, and she'll be here soon with her team."

Stark, who had almost been shot, showed great composure, walking over to Alvin and saying, "We all know why they probably tried to assassinate me, Alvin. There's no need to be angry. Hand them over to the police. I'll seek justice for myself."

Alvin ignored George and Stark, glaring at the two kids, and said, "I thought I could change you. I thought you had a chance to become normal people."

Almost consumed by anger, Alvin roared, "Why not give yourself a chance? To be a good person?"

Seeing the two kids, already scared stiff, still keeping their mouths shut, Alvin waved to JJ and said, "Lock them in the detention room. I need to get to the bottom of why my school has kids being used as gunmen."

Chief George stopped the somewhat dejected Alvin and loudly said, "Alvin, you can't do this. You have to hand them over to the police and let them investigate and handle it. They're just kids."

Alvin's face showed a cold smile as he said, "Kids? There are no innocent people in Hell's Kitchen, including kids. They are born with sin and are destined to become criminals, killers, prostitutes, pimps, and drug dealers."

Alvin looked around at the distressed onlookers and said, "I hoped this school could change their fate. I thought I had succeeded. Today, 63 kids climbed out of Hell.

But just now, two of my students told me I hadn't done enough, that someone dared to use my students as killers."

Alvin stared into Chief George's eyes and said in a cold voice, "I will dig out those who use my students for evil from their nests.

I will rip out their hearts and make them pay a lifelong unforgettable price.

I will make them know!
