Druid in the Marvel Universe Chapter 140: The Temptation of Going Home
A day later, Alvin touched down at a private airport in New York on Tony's swanky jet.
Lugging a big ol' bag, Alvin hopped off the plane and spotted his ride chillin' by the runway.
Megan was rocking some teal high-waisted cropped pants, killer heels, and a flirty white lace top. She was leaning against the car hood, looking both hot and laid-back!
Alvin strolled up to Megan, checked out the smokin' lady in front of him, grinned like a fool, and said, "I think I need a doc to prescribe me some happy pills. I'm way too stoked. Babe, I think I need CPR!"
Megan raised an eyebrow, her sexy lips curling into a gorgeous smile, clearly digging Alvin's sweet talk.
Megan wrapped her arms around Alvin's neck and planted a steamy kiss on him, not even minding Alvin's wandering hands.
After a few minutes, Alvin let go of the slightly flushed Megan, glanced at Tony who was making out with Pepper like there was no tomorrow.
Alvin figured Tony wanted him to scram, so he tossed his luggage in the trunk, slid into the driver's seat, and grinned at Megan, saying, "Driving's my thing; I'm a pro behind the wheel!"
Megan rolled her eyes playfully, hopped into the passenger seat, and teased, "Alright, Mr. Driver, show me what you got!"
As Alvin drove, he kept sneaking glances at Megan. This girl always had her chin up, oozing sexy, confident, boss-lady vibes. She never got shy around Alvin; everything just felt so chill.
Alvin was loving it. He showed his love, she gave it right back, no guessing games or tests. Their vibe was natural, and they could totally feel the joy in it! That's why he was into Megan!
"How's it been the past few days? You getting used to it?" Alvin asked with a grin.
Megan slapped Alvin's playful right hand and smiled, "Not bad. Didn't know you were such a big deal on Hellfire Boulevard!
I heard there's a hottie on the next street who waits for you to pass by every day?" She shot Alvin a curious look!
Alvin stayed cool, knowing Megan was talking about Daria, but who cared? He knew he hadn't crossed any lines.
Alvin smirked and said, "The struggles of being too popular, most folks just don't get it!
Congrats, babe, you snagged yourself an awesome boyfriend!"
Megan wrinkled her nose, gave Alvin a playful look, and said, "Didn't know you had so many people at home. It's fun! Everyone's so nice! I dig the vibe!"
Alvin laughed and said, "Glad you like it. I was worried you might not fit in.
I even thought about getting another place, but now it looks like I can save some cash!"
Megan playfully rolled her eyes at Alvin, got comfy, propped her feet on the dashboard, showing off her perfect legs, and hummed along with the radio!
Alvin glanced at the relaxed Megan, smiled, gently pressed the gas pedal, and headed home.
The drive to Hellfire Boulevard took over an hour, but Alvin was in a great mood 'cause he had a gorgeous girl in the car, making the traffic a breeze!
The car pulled up by the curb, and Alvin got out, lugging the big bag stuffed with gifts for everyone!
At the door, Thor and Dom greeted Alvin with enthusiasm. These two ghost wolves were starting to act like dogs, which wasn't great; less ferocious ghost wolves were less intimidating!
Pushing open the door to the restaurant, it was still early, so no customers were around. But everyone knew Alvin was coming back today, so they were all hanging out inside, waiting for him.
Ginny, rocking some overalls, was perched on the bar. The moment she saw Alvin, she grabbed Peter's hand, and with a quick "whoosh," a web shot out from Peter's wrist, sticking to the ceiling.
The little girl grabbed the web with both hands, laughing like a little monkey, and swung towards Alvin.
Alvin, totally caught off guard, dropped the big bag and caught the flying Ginny.
He let out a big breath, calmed his racing heart, and gave Ginny's little butt a couple of pats. This kid was gonna give him a heart attack!
Ginny, not scared of Alvin at all, grabbed his ears with both hands, planted a big kiss on his face, and shouted, "Welcome home, Daddy!"
No way he could be mad now. Alvin nudged Ginny with his nose and tickled her a bit as a playful punishment!
He shot a glare at the grinning Peter, pointed at his own eyes, then made a throat-slitting gesture with his thumb, like "You're so done!"
Peter's smile froze instantly. He gulped and spread his hands helplessly at Alvin.
Alvin put Ginny down and hugged Steve, Frank, and Jack, who came up to greet him.
Nick ran over and greeted Alvin with some complicated hand gestures, probably picked up from who knows where.
Alvin smiled and ruffled Nick's hair, saying, "How's it going? Those little workers behaving?" He shot a mischievous glance at Peter. Kid, you keep teaching my daughter dangerous stuff; you'll pay for it!
Nick laughed and said, "Peter's cool, and Ian's not bad either. But that girl Gwen is a pain. She threw up three times cleaning the bathroom. I think we should dock her pay!"
Alvin noticed Ian and Gwen weren't around, probably not wanting to crash Alvin's family reunion.
Samuel wasn't there either, so it looked like they weren't planning to do business today.
Alvin picked up the big bag, found a table, and set it down. He looked around and patted the bag, saying, "Got some gifts for you all. Bet you'll love 'em!"
Everyone excitedly gathered around, except for Jessica and Megan, who stepped aside; they didn't need any gifts!
Alvin first pulled out six pistols, picked out by Megan, modified M1911s, which every American guy knew how to use. Steve, Frank, and Jack each got two.
Alvin had made fifteen pistols at Tony's place, planning to give them to his crew. Each pistol was engraved with names and fancy patterns.
Each person got two pistols, each embedded with a rune Eld and a rune Ort. A pistol could only handle the power of one rune, so Alvin prepped two for each person.
The pistol with the rune Eld was for taking down undead creatures, like vampires. The other, with the rune Ort, packed a punch, adding 50 points of electric damage, making it a high-level taser gun. Alvin couldn't predict the exact damage, but according to Jarvis's calculations, it was like a 100,000-volt shock, which no human could handle.
Alvin prepped these mainly to prevent any unexpected situations, like the run-in with Russell in L.A. and those vampires rumored to be heading to New York.
Even though he didn't know if they'd cause trouble, it was smart to arm Frank and the others with these bad boys!
