Druid in the Marvel Universe Chapter 76: Computer Whiz
Stark looked at Alvin, took off his helmet, and said proudly, "Buddy, tell me, there aren't many things in America that I can't handle!"
Alvin rubbed his nose, feeling a bit embarrassed, and said, "I want to talk about what happened at school yesterday, regarding those two kids."
Stark looked at Alvin with some confusion and asked, "What about those two kids?"
Alvin said with some difficulty, "I want to ask you not to hold those two kids accountable. They were just misled by bad people, and I think they deserve a second chance.
Our school's disciplinary committee is working on their punishment measures. Both of them are 11th graders and will start 12th grade this September.
I don't want these two kids to go to juvenile detention; that would really ruin them."
Stark was silent for a moment. After all, anyone who had been shot at and nearly killed wouldn't be in a good mood.
After hesitating for a bit, Stark finally nodded and said, "Buddy, you're the one saying they deserve a second chance. I don't want to be pointed at with a gun again; it feels terrible.
I'm the honorary principal of the school, after all. Maybe I can consider not holding them accountable, but Alvin, can you guarantee they'll change?"
Alvin gritted his teeth and said, "No problem, but I need to deal with the kid who took my land first. Once we get the dormitory built and keep these kids busy, they won't have time to think about other things."
Stark glanced at Alvin, shook his hand, and said, "Deal, buddy. There really can't be a next time. I was almost scared to death yesterday!"
Alvin shook Stark's hand firmly and said seriously, "Buddy, I owe you one!"
Stark shook his head and said, "No, we're friends. You saved my life, remember? Don't mention owing me anything."
Alvin smiled and shook his head, saying, "Say what you want, but I'll remember this."
Looking at the noisy crowd not far away, Alvin pounded his chest on the Iron Man suit and said goodbye to Stark, "Buddy, I think I need to go. Too much has happened in the past few days, and I'm a bit tired!"
Stark nodded understandingly and said, "Alright then, I'll find you in a couple of days. I also need to find a place to take off this damn suit." As he spoke, Stark irritably tugged at the slightly deformed armor on his abdomen.
By the time Alvin returned to Hell's Kitchen, it was almost midnight. After parking the borrowed car from old Kent, Alvin noticed his old pickup truck parked in front of Frank's house. JJ and Frank were sneakily moving large bags of stuff into the house.
Alvin walked over to see what these two troublemakers were up to.
Frank was the first to notice Alvin, but he didn't stop what he was doing. Instead, he smiled and nodded at Alvin.
He looked like a middle-class man who had just returned from a picnic, happily greeting a friend. He didn't look at all like a butcher who had just committed several massacres.
JJ came out of the house to get more stuff from the truck bed and saw Alvin standing a few steps away, watching him.
JJ scratched his head awkwardly and said with a dry laugh, "Boss, you haven't gone to bed yet!"
Alvin took out cigars and handed them to Frank and JJ, saying, "My buddies did some big things today! Just hearing about it scared me a bit."
JJ took a heavy drag on the cigar and said, "Boss, I'm really sorry. We should have told you, but I can guarantee there won't be any trouble."
Alvin punched JJ on the shoulder and, looking at Frank, said with a smile, "You should have informed me. Do you know how angry I was? My two buddies went off to risk their lives, and I didn't even know!
The Hand isn't just some street gang!"
Frank took a leisurely puff of his cigar, looking as relaxed as a satisfied customer after a good time, and said, "From now on, let me handle these things. It's quite thrilling."
Alvin didn't know what to say to someone like Frank, a living devil. It's a good thing he has a son and a job at the school to keep him grounded. If he were out in society, he'd be a terrorist.
Alvin shook his head helplessly and knocked on the truck bed, asking, "What's in here? Did you rob someone after killing them?"
JJ laughed proudly, opened a large black bag, and said, "We raided a Hand warehouse today. It had nearly two tons of drugs and these goodies."
Alvin peeked inside and saw brand-new firearms. No wonder JJ was so excited. Usually, when working with Alvin, they used either second-hand old guns or cheap stuff from Alexei. This time, they hit the jackpot with Frank and got so many good things. No wonder he was happy.
Alvin whistled and said with a smile, "Well done, buddy. Hide them well!
What about the drugs?"
JJ shrugged and said, "I set them on fire before I left. They should all be ashes by now."
Alvin nodded and said, "Guys, I won't ask how you did it. Just remember to leave that guy named Botu for me. I need to skin him myself!"
Frank took a deep drag on his cigar, nodded, and said, "The computer guy found his location. He ran to Los Angeles. I don't know who tipped him off.
Once we're done in New York, I'll take a trip to LA. Don't worry, I'll bring him back alive."
Alvin nodded with a smile and said, "Kevin did a great job. JJ, you need to treat him well. That kid is really talented. It's a bit of a waste to just use him for fake passports."
Frank nodded and said, "Having such a logistics guy is really convenient."
Alvin thought for a moment and said, "When school starts, bring Kevin to the school. That supercomputer needs someone suitable to maintain it.
Old man Cage is terrible. He got this thing and can't even maintain it himself, and we have to pay someone else."
JJ nodded in agreement and said, "I'll talk to Kevin. He'll be thrilled. There's no better boss in Hell's Kitchen than you.
Knowing he can play with a supercomputer will make him ecstatic."
Alvin laughed and said, "Then let's do it!"
After finishing his cigar, Alvin waved and said, "You guys continue. I need to go to bed. It's been a busy couple of days. Take it easy."
Frank and JJ nodded, letting Alvin go rest.
As Alvin reached the restaurant door, he seemed to remember something and turned back to ask, "What's Kevin's full name again?"
JJ scratched his head, thought for a moment, and said, "I think it's Kevin Mitnick!"
Alvin tilted his head, thought for a moment, and said, "Hmm, that name sounds very hacker-like, very computer-savvy!"
