Druid in the Marvel Universe Chapter 83: His Mercy Is Reserved Only for Those in Need
Alvin walked out of the restaurant and called old Kent, asking him to clean up those magical scraps on the street. Those things could fetch a lot of money.
After warning old Kent not to pocket anything, Alvin happily walked into Frank's house.
It was still that basement. Every time Alvin came here, he would think of Stark's miserable state, which was quite funny.
Entering the basement, a stern-looking, serious, and arrogant guy was pinned to the wall by Frank with a harpoon through his shoulder. It seemed their previous communication wasn't very smooth!
Another greasy, chubby, middle-aged man with brown hair was kneeling on the ground, desperately begging for mercy! He kept shouting, "Don't kill me! I'm just a middleman! I'll tell you everything I know! Don't kill me!"
Steve stood to the side, looking at Alvin with some dissatisfaction, and said, "Buddy, I think handing them over to the police would be a better choice. We can't just use vigilante justice!"
See, that's the problem with superheroes. They respect the law and life, even if these people wanted to kill them just a second ago.
Alvin didn't quite like their attitude, but Steve was an exception. He was a loyal guy who would betray the world for his brothers.
Alvin shrugged with a smile and said, "Buddy, look, here's a guy willing to talk. Why not let him tell you what the Hand is all about!
Then you can decide whether to call the police! I promise, I won't stop you then!"
Steve nodded thoughtfully and looked at the greasy, chubby man kneeling on the ground. He didn't like this guy much, but he preferred the tough guy pinned to the wall.
Because even though that guy was stabbed and hung on the wall, he hadn't made a sound so far, even though the veins on his neck looked like they were about to burst from the pain!
As an old-school soldier, Steve appreciated this kind of toughness, even if he might be an enemy!
The chubby man was already scared out of his wits by Frank's brutal methods!
Even if you want to interrogate someone, shouldn't you start with some intimidation? Just because that guy glared at you, you stabbed him and hung him on the wall. Isn't that too much? You haven't even said a word yet!
The chubby man tremblingly confessed everything he knew, very efficiently!
The chubby man was a middleman responsible for communication between the Hand and the Rand Corporation.
The Rand Corporation provided safe transportation channels for the Hand's drug trafficking, human smuggling, artifact smuggling, and arms smuggling, and received huge payments in return.
This time, the land for the school dormitory that the Rand Corporation acquired was actually requested by the Hand because there was something very important to them there.
The chubby man was sent by Ward Meachum to see how things were going. Frank and JJ's actions in the past two days had put a lot of pressure on him.
And the councilman who helped had also called him, wanting him to give up that piece of land again. It seemed that the councilman was under a lot of pressure and deeply regretted helping the Rand Corporation!
You should know that the Rand Corporation was a major donor to the councilman. For him to react this way, someone or something significant must have warned him!
The chubby man came today to see if the Hand could directly take out Alvin and then decide what to do with the land! But...
Alvin liked guys like the chubby man, very sensible! Knowing he would have to confess in the end, why not be straightforward? Maybe he could even save his life!
Alvin smiled at the chubby man and said, "Good, I'm starting to like you a bit!
You've told us about yourself, now can you tell Mr. Rogers here what you know about the Hand?
Trust me, it will be good for you!"
The chubby man, kneeling on the ground, wiped the sweat from his forehead. He could see that the bearded man had a stronger sense of justice and wasn't entirely in agreement with the other three.
But the chubby man absolutely didn't dare to lie. Frank's ruthlessness had already shattered his threshold of fear, and what did the Hand have to do with him anyway?
So the chubby man had no psychological burden in selling out the Hand!
"The Hand mainly deals in assassins and drugs in America to amass wealth.
Usually, the assassin business is handled by a guy named Botu. He recruits some kids, trains them to become professional assassins, and then takes jobs to make money!
The drug business is handled by a woman named Gao. I don't know the specifics; our corporation only handles the transportation part."
Alvin's face turned very grim as he asked in a voice that could freeze the air, "Those red-clad ninjas are the kids they trained?"
The chubby man nervously wiped his sweat and said, "I'm not sure. We just send some kids to Japan every year and bring back the same number of ninja assassins. I really don't know the specifics!"
The chubby man felt like he was going to wet himself again because Alvin's gaze felt like a knife, stabbing him with every look!
He could almost see the cold flames on Alvin's head and felt like he might die!
...
On the rooftop of an apartment building a block away, Matt, dressed in a red and black suit, crouched at the edge, listening intently.
Suddenly, he punched a flowerpot on the rooftop, pulled off his mask, threw it on the ground, and stomped on it. Frustrated, he crouched down with his head in his hands, lost in thought!
Danny Rand, standing nearby, wanted to ask what was wrong but was forcefully pushed away by Matt.
Danny, a bit angry, asked, "Matt, what's wrong with you?"
Matt took a deep breath and said, "Sorry, Danny, it's not your fault. I think I might have made a mistake!
I have to pay for what I've done, even if it takes my whole life!"
Danny, shocked, asked, "What happened? Matt, you have to tell me. We're friends!"
Matt hesitated and then said, "Those kids, remember? The training school we went to yesterday!
They regularly send those kids to Japan to be trained into what you just saw!"
Danny was horrified. The consequences were too terrible. He anxiously asked, "Is this true? What should we do? Colleen will go crazy!"
Matt, frustrated, clenched his fists and said, "This is our fault. If we had told Colleen earlier, at least this batch of kids wouldn't have been sent away.
Danny, I have to go to Japan, or my conscience will drive me mad!"
Danny nodded heavily and said, "Yes, you're right. I'll go with you.
Maybe we can save this batch of kids! But Matt, promise me, don't tell Colleen. It would kill her!
She's a good girl and doesn't deserve such punishment!"
Matt nodded, not sure if he was talking to Danny or himself, "Yes, she's a good girl, just made a mistake with good intentions!"
...
In the basement, Steve's face was as dark as a storm cloud.
Looking at the man pinned to the wall, his gaze turned cold.
See, this is a battle-hardened veteran who can bury Hydra!
His mercy is reserved only for those who need it!
