Druid in the Marvel Universe Chapter 66: Hello, Mr. Rand
Colin curled up in pain, feeling like she was about to die.
Ignoring the nauseating blockage in her windpipe, Colin looked in horror at Alvin, who was squatting in front of her with a gentle smile.
She screamed in fear, "What are you going to do?"
Alvin didn't answer her question. Instead, he helped her up, almost half-carrying her to a set of stone benches in the yard. Always squatting to ask questions didn't feel good to him.
Colin's limp upper body lay on a stone round table, her hands covering her stomach, taking deep breaths in pain, trying to alleviate the agony.
She didn't even dare to look up at Alvin. Every glance at him intensified her fear, and she was afraid she would break down if this continued.
Colin asked in despair, "What do you want? What's going on?"
Alvin stood beside Colin, took two photos out of his jacket pocket, and placed them on the stone table. He tapped the photos with his right index finger.
"Do you recognize them? Look closely at these two kids," Alvin said, looking at the tense, tightly closed-eyed Colin.
Colin opened her eyes, looked at the photos on the table, and said in surprise, "It's Charlie and Jimmy. What happened to them?"
Alvin chuckled lightly, speaking slowly in a tone that sounded like a prayer or a curse, "They had a chance to be good people. They were born in hell, but they had a chance to be good. But you pushed them into the deepest part of hell. You turned them into killers, tools."
Colin nervously defended herself, "I didn't, I didn't know, I didn't—"
Alvin ignored Colin's explanation; he wasn't here to listen to her excuses today.
"You have no idea how much I hate you bastards. I swore I would send all of you to hell."
Colin was already on the verge of breaking down, too scared to look at Alvin's terrifying expression. She futilely repeated her defense, "I didn't know, I didn't know, let me go, I didn't know—"
"You handed these two kids over to the devil, turning them into killers, tools, and you tell me you didn't know!"
Alvin's voice changed with anger. He grabbed Colin's neck with one hand and, with the other, took a whaling harpoon borrowed from Frank. He thrust it through Colin's shoulder, pinning her face down on the stone table.
At this moment, Colin perfectly exemplified what it means to be "in pain and speechless." The intense pain left her mouth agape, unable to make any sound.
Her whole body convulsed violently like a frog on a hot iron plate, unable to escape the terrifying harpoon.
Tears, saliva, and snot splattered all over her delicate face.
Alvin didn't give Colin a chance to catch her breath. He twisted the harpoon forcefully and cruelly asked, "Tell me, where is that bastard Botu? This way, you can go to hell sooner."
The intense pain struck again, and Colin was on the verge of losing her sanity. With her mouth wide open but unable to make a sound, she banged her head against the stone table, as if that could ease the pain.
Alvin asked again, "Tell me, where is that bastard Botu? Or I'll chop you into pieces inch by inch. I mean it!"
Completely losing her sanity and emotionally breaking down, Colin finally screamed, "He left, I don't know where he went, let me go, I don't know anything—ah—"
Alvin shook his head in disappointment. Since Botu had run away, he would wait. For now, he would make Colin Wen pay the interest. Botu? He would find him eventually!
Alvin looked at Colin, whose face was twisted in pain, as if he were looking at a frog on a dissection table.
Smiling, he said, "What makes you think you can use a bunch of kids to kill and commit crimes without paying the price?"
The broken Colin just shook her head, repeating, "I didn't, I didn't."
Seeing Colin completely broken, Alvin shook his head in boredom. Torturing a woman wasn't his hobby. This woman was just the first; he needed to be ruthless to show the gangsters outside that they should stay away from the school kids.
As for Colin Wen? She was of no use anymore.
Alvin took Colin's phone from her pocket, quickly checked the call records, and found her recent call with Botu just a few minutes ago.
Alvin opened the call record on the phone and placed it in front of Colin to confirm.
After getting a clear answer, Alvin tossed the phone to JJ and said, "Go back and find that computer kid. Dig out Botu for me. I want to see if his heart is black."
After speaking, Alvin pulled out a handgun from his jacket, aimed it at Colin, and prepared to send her to hell.
"Stop—"
An angry shout came from the courtyard wall!
A handsome young man in a dark blue casual suit with flaxen curly hair saw Colin lying miserably on the round table and cried out in grief, "Ah—"
The handsome young man leaped from the courtyard wall like a soaring eagle, launching a fierce attack on Alvin.
Alvin raised his hand to stop Frank and JJ from intervening. He still had a lot of anger to vent, and this guy seemed like a good target.
The handsome young man was very skilled, especially with his fists that seemed to have light bulbs in them, creating wind pressure that made it hard for Alvin to breathe.
But Alvin always managed to drag a highly skilled fighter into a brawl.
With the "Thorn Spirit" on him having 1200 health points, Alvin didn't even know how much that translated to in reality. So far, he hadn't encountered anyone or anything that could break the "Thorn Spirit" in one hit. Colin's earlier attack didn't even trigger a reaction from the "Thorn Spirit."
So Alvin dared to engage in the most brutal hand-to-hand combat with anyone in the world.
I may not be good at fighting or know many moves. You can hit me many times, but before you break the "Thorn Spirit," you'll have to endure 400% rebound damage.
To be fair, this handsome young man was a very formidable fighter. He hit Alvin many times with various moves, and Alvin couldn't even touch his clothes. This made Alvin look a bit embarrassed.
Adjusting his jaw after taking several hits, Alvin looked at the handsome young man in front of him with some admiration. This was the first time in years someone had made the "Thorn Spirit" flicker and shake. This guy's fists were really powerful, or they had some special effect.
But what impressed Alvin the most was that this guy had hit him about ten times, which was equivalent to hitting himself over forty times. He was still standing strong, which was not easy.
Alvin looked at the shaky handsome young man in front of him and smiled, "Can you tell me your name, Mr. Busybody?" He pointed to Colin, who had already passed out on the stone table. "Or are you two in cahoots?"
The handsome young man looked at the terrifying enemy in front of him with some fear and said, "My name is Danny Rand. Who are you, and what do you want?"
Alvin seriously adjusted the suit Jessica had bought for him,
"My name is Alvin, principal of Hell's Kitchen Community School. Nice to meet you, Mr. Rand.
I hope you're not the Rand I know!"
