Druid in the Marvel Universe Chapter 150: Living by the Fist, Easy to Get Shot

Samuel had become quite the sensation, judging by the way a few kids were gathered around him with admiration and the excited looks from the onlooking diners. Alvin, feeling rather annoyed, slapped the bar and motioned for Samuel to come over.

Samuel eagerly approached the bar, puffing out his chest, ready to receive Alvin's praise.

Unfortunately, he was destined to be disappointed. Alvin pointed to the mess in the restaurant and, smiling, said, "Kid, you trashed my restaurant. That old blind man ran off, so you're the one who has to compensate me for my losses.

I did some quick calculations, and your salary for this month is no longer yours."

The young and spirited Samuel was completely stunned. He had helped out, so why did he have to pay for the damages?

Just as he was about to argue, he saw Alvin grab the excited Ginny, who was circling around Samuel, and give her a couple of pats on the butt as a punishment for her mischief.

Samuel sighed. Now was not the time to argue with the boss. After all, Alvin had taken him in and even helped him sort out his passport issues.

Alvin, satisfied with Samuel's attitude, smiled and said, "But since you helped the boss out, I've decided to reward you with a car. Think about what kind of car you want. In America, a man can't be without a car!"

Seeing Samuel's excitement, Alvin quickly added, "Don't go overboard! Your boss isn't rich!"

Being a young man, Samuel was thrilled at the thought of getting a car. He didn't even bother to clean up the mess on the floor and instead pulled the envious Peter aside to discuss what kind of car to buy.

Nick, eager to join his two older brothers, kept suggesting car names like "Ferrari," "Koenigsegg," and "Porsche," making the veins on Alvin's forehead throb.

It wasn't until Jessica handed each of them a broom that they "satisfactorily" ended their discussion. The restaurant still needed to be cleaned, and tonight's workload would be substantial.

Frank, watching the kids clean and play around, asked in a deep voice, "Who was that old blind man? A friend of Matt's?"

Alvin waved his hand dismissively and said, "I heard he's Matt's teacher, a very annoying guy. But his enemy is the Handshake Association, so I think we shouldn't be too cold to him."

Steve laughed heartily and said, "Alvin, your 'not too cold' means throwing him out? If you were any warmer, would he need to buy a coffin?"

Alvin gave Steve a serious look and said, "No, generally speaking, I'm a hospitable person, and my enemies usually don't need to buy coffins.

Frank's enemies are the ones who need funeral services!"

Frank didn't mind Alvin's jab about his ruthlessness. He tilted his head and stared at Peter, who was slacking off, and said coldly, "I'm trying to change myself. I think I've changed a lot recently, maybe because working at the school has softened my heart.

If that old guy is an enemy of the Handshake Association, does that mean the Handshake Association is coming too?"

Alvin shrugged and said, "I don't know. We'll see. They'll come eventually, and when they do, we'll just kill them all.

Matt and that kid Danny haven't done much despite being in Japan for so long. Who knows what they're up to?"

Frank smirked sarcastically and said, "What could they possibly accomplish? It's a miracle if they can keep themselves alive.

I don't like those self-righteous guys. They always mess things up more than they help."

Steve, feeling a bit left out, shouted, "What are you guys talking about? Why don't I understand any of it?"

Alvin laughed and said, "You don't need to understand. It's just that some street heroes have different views from us, and Frank doesn't like them.

I don't know about the others, but Matt is definitely a good guy, just too stubborn. I hope we don't become enemies.

Steve, those red fleas from the Handshake Association are coming again. Are you ready?"

Steve grinned and said, "No problem. This will help me relieve some of the recent stress.

As a football coach, I've been tutoring a few dumb kids lately, and it's been very stressful."

Alvin sent the diners away from the restaurant. With them around, Samuel wouldn't be able to focus on his work. I know it feels great to be praised, but you need to finish your job first.

Steve and Frank also left. Megan took Jessica upstairs for a face mask session and brought the mischievous Ginny along, who had been following Samuel around.

This gave Samuel a sigh of relief. Ginny was indeed hard to handle. You can't just ask me to knock down the restaurant walls; it puts me in a tough spot! Breaking a few tables already cost me my first month's salary. If I knock down a wall, I won't even get my car!

Alvin sat on a high stool outside the bar, pulling Joseph, who wanted to help, and handed him a cigar, smiling as he said, "Let them do the work. You should rest and chat with me. It's been years, and I didn't know you were a master, haha!"

Joseph waved off Alvin's cigar, pulled out a crumpled pack of cigarettes from his pocket, lit one for himself, and said with a bitter smile, "There's nothing to be proud of. Martial artists, especially those with exceptional skills, don't usually end up well."

Seeing Alvin listening intently, Joseph nodded towards Samuel and said, "Samuel's father, my cousin, had mastered his martial arts skills to the peak. But so what? He still got executed.

He was an ambitious man. I admired him when I was young, but he went down the wrong path and couldn't turn back.

Martial artists always want to make a living through violence, but how many of them, aside from those who join government agencies, actually walk the right path?"

Alvin agreed with this point. Always thinking about making money with your fists, what good can come of it? Being a security guard doesn't pay much!

Alvin thought for a moment, then pointed at Samuel and said to Joseph, "Then why don't you advise your nephew? I've heard he's been restless lately, always going out at night to mess with those punks!"

Joseph smiled bitterly and said, "It's impossible to advise him. When martial arts reach his level, they have their own ideas. How can he live a quiet life like me?

I can only try to keep him from going astray. The rest is up to him."

Alvin fell silent. He didn't know Samuel well, but from their interactions over the past few months, the kid seemed nice and enthusiastic.

Unfortunately, such a personality is bound to suffer in America. Being a vigilante might be fine on Hellfire Boulevard, where beating up a few gangsters won't get you in trouble, and the police might even applaud you. But outside Hellfire Boulevard, doing that could easily bring trouble or even attacks.

Alvin didn't want someone like that around him. Such people are foolish and sometimes scary! They always hurt their closest ones to achieve their idea of justice.

Samuel better not be that kind of person, or Alvin's shock education would be very painful.
