Omega Bound Chapter 134

Cyrus

Raven's eyes search frantically back and forth between mine. She doesn't give me a green light, but her arousal picks up along with her breathing and heartrate. She wants this. She just doesn't want to admit it, or she is letting her fear of rejection keep her from wanting it. Maybe she still has feelings for that asshole. None of it matters and I don't give a shit about any of it.

I study fireball's features as I start closing the gap between us. She starts to turn her head away and I am not having any of it. I may not know my mate, but I know that she is a naughty she-wolf and maybe these innocent touches aren't what she needs at all. I quickly remove my hand from her elbow and place it around her throat. Her eyes go wide in shock as her scent hits me and my nostrils flare. My wolf howls within my mind. Our mate is aroused and we're so close. I don't squeeze but keep my grip firm as I pull her toward me and crash my lips down on hers.

It is a freaking homecoming. The stars have aligned, and all is right in my shifter world. Her lips feel exactly as I imagined they would. Pure ecstasy. I can feel shocks, like a current of electricity under my fingertips that are around her neck. Fireball opens her lips for me as her hands slide up the front of my tee and I applaud myself for picking the tightest one I could find to show off my muscles for her. Reminding her what she wants. What waits for her just under the surface.

Our tongues collide, fighting for dominance as the kiss heats up and I lean my weight onto her, pinning her against the wall. She needs grounding. I need her to feel me so when those painful memories of what she went through hit her, she feels me on her, protecting her, shielding her from all of it. It is only us. We are all that matters. She will see it soon. I can't wait for the "I told you so" moment I am going to have. I will have to find a way to tell her when the time is right, without her beating my ass. I may like it though. Only time will tell.

I pull my mouth from hers to trail kisses down her jaw and to her neck. Fireball is gasping for breath and attempting to hold her moans in, but I know better. I scent mark her neck before pulling away from her. I am not about to have her fine ass going around unmarked without my scent all over her. Her lips are red and swollen, her breathing heavy. She swallows hard and looks at me confused before I pull away completely. Do I want to? No. But, do I want her to want me and want to finish what we started? Absolutely. So, if I got to keep her guessing and make her want me, give her something to think about while I am gone, then that is what I will do. Call me hard to get Cyrus, I ain't no wolf slut anymore. Or whatever she called me.

I take a few steps back before turning and throwing on my boots. I will lace them in the elevator later. I can't turn around or I know that I will end up pushing her too far too soon. Sure, she might give in, but I don't want an avalanche of emotions to hit her afterward. Baby steps. She's mine. I just need to keep reminding myself of that. The bond flares within my chest, demanding completion, but it will have to wait. I can't look at her right now. Is this what it's like to feel emotions and whatnot? Wait...am I emotional? Am I getting in touch with the things called feelings? Is this a feeling? Damn life is crazy.

The door shuts behind me as I head for the elevator. I didn't realize I was holding my breath through the doorway. I left out a sigh and run my fingers through my hair. Damn I don't want to leave her. I get into the elevator and bring my fingers to my lips. Already missing hers. I reach down and adjust myself before heading toward Thane's office. I doubt a massive erection with help me out of this mess and I am sure he has no interest in my constant blue balls I have had since meeting my mate.

I knock on the door, already out of character for me, but I am trying to be a good boy today. I enter and see Thane behind his desk, a scowl already forming before he sighs and motions for me to take a seat in a chair in front of his desk. "Such formalities today." "Well, that tends to happen when you burn down a building." "I didn't burn it down." "What? You are saying someone else is responsible for burning down the heat clinic?" he asked confused. "No, I said I didn't burn it down. I blew that bitch up." "Of course you did." "What would you rather I did?" I ask confused. "Not blown up a building. That would be a good place to start." "What would you have done if your mate told you she was using a heat clinic and letting another shifter see her through her heat? Her first heat by the way. More important." Thane growls and I know that I have him there. He can't blame me; he just doesn't like what I did. "My point exactly."

"You should have talked to her. You should have explained to her what you were thinking." "Yeah, that shit might work for you, but that ain't going to work for me and I am not you Thane." "I know you are not because I think of what the pack needs. And the pack needs a heat clinic." "So, build another one. That place sucked anyway." "Yes, I am getting that." he states, and it sounded a lot like he was agreeing with me. "I'm sorry. What is going on here? Aren't you going to demote me again? Put me into some hard labor? Make me buy Damon a new car?" "Why? What's wrong with Damon's car?" "I don't know. Just throwing out random shit. Anyway, that's not the point. The point is, why aren't you yelling at me? Usually, you are screaming by now and that weird vein by your temple looks at me funny when you get pissed and it ain't even here today. What gives?" "I don't have a weird vein." "You do. That shit looks right at me when you get angry. You can't see it now, but watch out, when you get mad it rears its ugly head." "Shut up Cyrus." "Okay."

"I am not yelling at you because I'm not. There is no magical reason. I am just not doing it." "Yeah, no. This isn't you. What's going on here?" I question and I don't plan on leaving without an answer.
