Ayla

The fight I am having with my wolf to remain seated and to stay calm is close to coming out of hand. She is warring within me to dominate Della.

To stake her claim to her mate.

I have no doubt that if allowed to, Aramana would finish Della off for even looking at Thane wrong. I try to get myself under control, feeling my glare turn to a look of disappointment. He is my fated mate, yet he agreed to meet Della privately to discuss the situation at hand. The situation being our mate bond and his apparent involvement with her.

He didn't stand up for me at all. Never mentioned the bond to her. My heart is sad at my perceived betrayal. I know that he is the Alpha and he has to remain diplomatic and handle Della like any other member, but I also don't trust either of them right now. He had so intense feelings for me, that he allowed Della on his lap and over his desk. I don't understand it. Instead of having this conversation with him, I just want to leave.

I get up from the table and walk past Thane. I need to get out of here. I am starting to get anxious, and I don't even know why.

"Ayla wait. Where are you going? Come back," he says while I head down the hall and to the elevator.  I could run up the stairs or even outside, but I know that he would catch up so hopefully I can get in the elevator and get the door shut before he gets to me. Yeah right.

Thane tugs on my elbow gently and turns me to face him. I can't bring myself to look at him right now. He is my fated mate and all I can see in my head is Della in front of him presented. She isn't even an omega. I see that image any time I even think of her.

Does Thane's imagination take him to images of me with other men when he thinks about being intimate with me?

Me strapped down to a bed with disgusting alphas surrounding me? I can feel the bile climbing up my throat and I have to stave off the urge to vomit.

"Hey, stay with me Ayla. I didn't think it was possible for you to get any paler, but you are. What are you thinking about? Whatever it is, you are safe with me. Don't go there Little Wolf. I am here, right now."

I look up at him, trying to calm myself and fighting with my emotions. "Every time I see Della, I will always have the memory of her over your desk in my head. It hurts Thane. So much."

" I know Ayla. I am sorry. I am so freaking sorry. I don't regret much in my life, but I regret that. It shouldn't have happened. I know you don't want to talk about it all, but we need to. I need you Little Wolf." He takes my hand and brings it up to his heart.

"You feel that? It only beats for you. You are my perfect half. Predestined for me by the fates. Nobody else matters. You are my world now and I will be damned if I let anyone else come in and try to screw it up. You want her gone? I will make her transfer."

Do I want her gone? That isn't fair of me to show up at this pack, steal her perceived man and force her out without her family and leave behind everything. I have lost everything, I don't wish that on someone else. "No, No, that isn't what I want. I just can't see her right now. It is too soon."

We step into the elevator and start to head up. Thane has me backed up against the rear wall and runs his fingers up the back of my hair and cups the back of my head. "I am sorry you had to see her little wolf. I thought it would be good to get you out of your room, but apparently not. I would do anything for you. I want you to know that.

When I pulled you out of that damn cage I knew. I looked into your eyes, and I just knew that you were different. That you were special. That you were mine. I could feel it, I just didn't know what it was. My wolf wants you, Ayla. We want our fated mate. We want this bond. We want our Luna. I am sorry Ayla. When I was with her, I thought of you. I thought of you that first night you were here while I was with her. I thought of your silky, snow-white skin. I thought of those stunning teal eyes and your pouty lips. I thought about those pouty lips wrapped around my cock."

I don't want to hear about him with Della, but he is certainly distracting me with his foul mouth, pine scent and thick muscles under his tight black shirt stretched a crossed tan skin.

Before I realize it, a whine escapes me and it suddenly dawns on me that now that I have my wolf back, I will have my omega instincts as well. I remember learning about them before I was taken, but I hope it comes second nature to us when we need it. I just want Aramana and I to be connected and working as one unit with two halves.

He holds me tight, bringing me against his chest. Thane leans down and his mouth is just hovering over my ears. His whispers, eliciting a tight throb just deep within my core. My arousal floods the tiny tin box, and Thane leans back slightly, and I catch him inhaling deep and his nostrils flaring. "What does my little omega need? You need me don't you. I am here Little Wolf."

Thane runs his nose up and down my cheek and neck scenting me. He is scent marking me and I am not sure he even realizes he is doing it. If he doesn't want to tell the pack about me yet he should probably stop rubbing his scent all over me, but I can't bring myself to tell him to stop.

"I am sorry for breakfast. I need to apologize. I seem to be doing that a lot lately, but I am an Alpha. Your Alpha that will grovel for you. Only you Little Wolf." Thane steps back and hit the large red button in the elevator that says 'stop' and looks at me with lust and hunger in his eyes.

Possessiveness.

He wants to own me.

I am his fated mate, I suppose he does.

Only if I give myself over to this bond though.

By the way he is looking at me, I may not have a choice.

Thane stalks back to me in two strides and lifts me up off the floor like I weigh nothing. He pushes me flush against the elevator wall and pulls down my pants while I instinctively wrap my knees around his waist.

"Oh no little wolf. I am groveling because I am sorry for being a dumb ass remember?"

"Yes, a huge dumb ass." I rasp out while he smiles those huge dimples at me. One second, I am looking up into Thane's lust filled eyes, the next, I am being hoisted up into the air and my legs wrap around Thane's head.
