Cyrus

"Ow....mother..." I hold my forehead, the warm blood trickling down my face.

"Nice headbutt Raven."

"Shut the fuck up Damon." I roll to my side as fireball stands from me, a cut noted toward her hairline.

"Go hump somewhere else Cyrus." Damon says as he punches the bag repeatedly.

"Stop watching shit bag." I push myself off the floor and chase after Raven who is storming out of the training center.

"Will you slow down and listen. I shouldn't have said that. I'm sorry. I fucked up. I just want you to know that I know how to take care of you." That probably wasn't the best thing to say since fireball whirls on me. Her eyes are full of rage, and I just wish I could stop digging my grave.

"You will know how to take care of me? I thought the alphas didn't take care of the she-wolves in heat Cyrus!"

"Well sometimes they are short staffed. It's all volunteers you know." Fireballs eyes squint and she steps toward me, eerily calm. I'm going to die today.

Before I can say another word, there is a streak of red lunging at me as fireball screeches some weird, she-wolf cry of anger. Her hands tighten around my throat and her murderous intent is clear. I'm trying not to think about how hot this is when large hands reach around her and pull her off me. Now it is my turn to feel murderous.

"Get your damn hands off of my mate!" I roar at Damon who is trying to hold back fireball.

"Relax, I am trying to help you!" Damon is attempting and failing at keeping fireball away from me.

"Go claim one of the thousands you have helped through their heat!" Raven yells at me around Damon.

"It's like a hundred or less. Thousands would be ridiculous." I shake out my curls attempting to get my bearings, but I don't get that chance.

"Dude. Your funeral." Damon lets go of Raven and all hell breaks out. She comes for me claws out and snarling. She looks so beautiful in a fit of rage.

"WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?" Thane yells. Where the hell did he come from? He snatches fireball around the waist and holds her to his side as she is panting hard, hair in her face with a crazed look in her eyes.

"I'm going to kill him!" Fireball yells.

"Get in line. There is a long list of shifters before you." Thane shoots me a look that is anything but friendly.

"Probably all the she-wolves he helped through their heat." Thane puts Raven on the ground, and she straightens her clothing.

"You two are supposed to be training and instead I get called down here because you two are going to murder each other. At this point, I am close to allowing it." Thane stands in between us scowling.

"You should remind whoever told you that SNITCHES GET STITCHES." I yell while turning to Damon. He puts his hands in the air in surrender was he turns to leave.

"This isn't training. You are supposed to be training her." Thane reminds me.

"I was training her...then I fucked up okay." I throw my hands in the air, at this point what else can I do?

Thane looks back to Raven and then to me and then back to her again.

"What is it about this time?" He asks.

"Heat clinic." Raven states at the same time I answer, "Community Service." Her yes get that look again and she lunges for me.

"I will show you community service." Fireball grits her teeth.

"Yes please. That is literally what I am waiting for." I can hardly think of anything else but marking her.

"Shut up Cyrus!" Thane yells at me.

"You two need to separate for now. I don't know what else to do. Raven go familiarize yourself with anywhere but here." Thane orders and she leaves. I wish it was reluctantly, but she seems pretty eager to leave.

"She's going into heat soon." Thane states quietly.

"I know." It's all my wolf is growling about.

"She's a very jealous she-wolf Cyrus. I don't know how you fix this. She has one mate that rejected her and then the other mate can experience her first heat with her because he has knotted half the damn pack." He's right.

"I don't know how to fix it yet either, but if she goes into heat, I will kill any wolf that tries to help her through it." I will. I will kill them all and then think about it later.

"I know Cyrus. That is also a concern of mine. I don't want any senseless killing of pack members because Artemis hasn't claimed his mate yet."

"I need to get her out of the apartment. I can't have her unmated scent filling the whole building."

"Maybe we can move her out to a cabin. We have maternity cabins. Put her in one of those. You will have to get her to willingly move into one with you though." Thane suggests.

"Who said she has to be willing?" Raven needs to be taken care of by her mate during her heat. That's me and if she won't willingly stay in the cabins away from unclaimed shifters, then she will just find herself taking a little excursion to the cabins asleep over my shoulder.

"You think kidnapping her will help her trust you and forget about you knotting everyone she meets?" Thane shakes his head and then stares at the ground, thinking.

"I think that she won't go to a cabin without motivation."

"And how do you plan on doing that?" Thane asks with concern on his features.

"Relax. I will use my naked body and if that doesn't work, I have a backup plan."

"I already regret asking, but what is your back up plan?"

"Chloroform." I smile.

"Of course. I address the pack at 4 and then we make her a pack member. I suggest smoothing this over before then." He turns and leaves me alone with my thoughts on how to smooth this shit show over.

Raven isn't the chocolates and flowers type of she-wolf thank the fates but that would be easier to do right now. Thane's right that she is insanely jealous, but I don't blame her. She has a fear of getting rejected again and I have a fear of her leaving. It is such a simple fix. An easy answer literally provided to us by the fates, but we can't quite seem to get there. One step forward, two steps back.

Thane says we have her ceremony at 4 and I have a great idea that will surely let her know where we stand.
