Getting suspended to woo my mate would be the greatest thing ever if she was actually in her room when I ran from Thane's office. Nope. She gone. Just vanished. I sit down and try to figure out the best way to go about this whole win over my mate situationship. We had an excellent kiss this morning. Magical. Now how to build off of that. She will probably want to ignore it and pretend it didn't happen. She will also be expecting to me try and get more from her. To not drop it and let it go. Oh, I am so playing hard to get. Operation 'Get fireball to want to mate with me' is underway. Kind of long. 'Operation woo fireball' flows better. I'll go with that.

I decide to forgo talking about our mouthcapade this morning and get her to the training grounds in the guise of Thane wanting her to be Ayla's bodyguard, but it will be phase 2 of this operation. Hot, sweaty, half naked Cyrus plus a hot, sweaty, half naked fireball will equal magic. There is no way she can resist. This plan is too good. It can't go wrong.

My phone rings and it is Norman from the car lot. Perfect. He probably has Damon down there raising cane about his car or some shit. I guess I have to pay for it. Or I could label it an occupational hazard of sorts and pretend it isn't my fault. Decisions, decisions. "This is Cyrus." "Hey, this is Norm. That car you bought this morning didn't get the extended warranty on it and I saw the way it drove out of here; you may want that. Also, Alpa's car is still here if you want to get it for him or do I need to deliver it? I thought about detailing it as a courtesy." "Norm. What are you talking about? Damon's new car?" I ask, confused. Thane must have loaned Damon is car and his dumb ass left it at the dealership. "Damon's new car? You are getting him one too? Man, this is great. I really needed the sales." "What on fates earth are you talking about? Too? I didn't get any cars today." "Yes, you did." "No, I didn't." "What do you mean you didn't?" "I mean I didn't buy a car, you would know if you saw me, wouldn't you?"

"What do you mean saw you? You weren't here." "I KNOW I WASN'T THERE THAT IS HOW I KNOW I DIDN'T BUY A CAR FROM YOU." "You don't have to be here to buy a car. You know that because YOU SENT SOMEONE AFTER IT. ARE YOU GOING MENTAL ON ME?" Am I? What the hell is going on.

"Are you telling me someone put an entire car on my credit down there?" "That is what I am telling you." "Why the hell would you let someone do that?" "Why the hell would someone say they were getting a car, and you approved it?" "I don't know. I approved nothing." "Shit." "Yeah shit. Are you telling me someone stole a car from you?" "Well, I am telling you someone bought a car, and you paid for it." "I didn't pay for nothing." "Oh, you better believe you did." "Are you threatening me Norm?" "No, you are a great customer. You just bought a 60,000-dollar car."

I bolt upright and spit my water I was attempting to drink across the room. Who the hell would buy a car in my name. Unless.....no....wait.....oh....no....she....didn't...."Was the purchaser of this car a fiery red-haired minx with a dumptruck and a bad attitude?" I ask. Please say yes, but also please don't. "Yeah. She was hot. Too hot." "You better shut your damn mouth before I come down there and rip your lips off your face." I threaten. "Hey, what the hell did I do?" "Don't you talk about her like that. I will gut you where you stand brother." "Fine, fine. I'm sorry..okay..... Noted. She wasn't fine. Ugliest thing I've ever seen." A growl rips out of me before I can stop it. "I can't win with you. Whatever you want to describe her as bought a car under your name. You know her?" "Yes, I know her. Now shut up." "Okay. So, if you want this warranty, there is additional paperwork." "How did you do any paperwork without me there?" "She said you gave her permission to sign everything." "Man, what kind of shady business are you running down there?" "The kind that sells cars. Can you get Alpha's car out of here in a few hours?" "Yeah, yeah. I will get it out of there." "Thanks. Enjoy your new purchase." He hangs up right as I am starting to tell him where to go.

My little fireball thinks she is funny. Probably thinks I will lose it on her for getting herself a car. Maybe even kick her ass to the curb. Nope, but I am nervous she may use it to try and give me the slip. Looks like I am taking a little trip back to the armory in the basement to hunt up some trackers. Fireball wants to get herself a new toy, feel independent while trying to piss me off. Sure, go for it. Use said toy to leave me? Nope. In fact, I'm going to grab some spike strips to throw out in case this comes down to a highway pursuit, but then my baby could get hurt. I don't want that. But she's also a shifter with accelerated healing, so she could get over it, but then she may get even more angry with me, or she could let me nurse her back to health. I better grab them just in case. Oh, this is going to be great. I am about to turn up wherever she tries to hide. I decide to mind-link Thane.
