Ayla

Something is wrong. I can't figure out what it is, but I can feel it. Something is missing from my nest. I scramble in circles, tucking pillows, arranging blankets, straightening my nest, but I can't figure out what is wrong. My wolf is frustrated, growling, pacing in circles, growing more agitated by the minute.

I look all around, trying to find what has thrown my sanctuary off balance when a soft purring noise emanates from somewhere behind me. The sound washes over me, calming my senses. It is relaxing and pulling me out of my frustration. I want more of this sound.

I turn and find the purring coming from my Alpha. He is sitting in the corner of the nest, intently watching me as I tuck and reinforce the nest. The sound becomes louder, and I crawl over to him, wanting more of it.

"We're day seven of your heat Little Wolf. How many more days do you have in you? Hmmm?" My Alpha tells me while opening his arms and inviting me into him.

His chest is warm and comforting. His purrs lull me to a state of relaxation I have never experienced before. I feel safe here, secure. My Alpha tightens his arms around me while I scent his neck, rubbing myself all over his neck, marking him as mine. I want to mark him in another way as well.

I climb higher on him as he continues to purr, and I kiss him fiercely. I want him to feel my gratitude, love and appreciation for his safety net he provides me with. I pour everything I have into this kiss. Moments of clarity hit me as I can feel myself processing my emotions. "Thane..." I moan. He pulls back and looks at me lovingly.

"Thane...I need you." I say in a whisper. I can feel everything aligning and feeling right. This is what I was missing, Thane.

"You have me Ayla. Always," he tells me, pushing adoration through the bond.

"I do too. I feel exhausted..." I utter, trying to fight sleep wanting to claim me.

"You are exhausted because you spent almost seven days trying to fuck my dimples all the time. I mean, really Little Wolf, does the mere sight of them get you going that much?" The thought of his smile causes me to squeeze around his knot. He moans and holds me tighter "I will take that as a yes. I can't believe I hold such an easy to use get out of jail free card." Thane laughs and I swat at his chest before burying my blushing face in it.

"Come, let’s get you washed up and then I will make you a big meal. You need to get your calories up and you need rest. You may even need my knot a few more times."
