Chapter 119: Nobody Ignores Me

Callan

“Space! How much more fucking space does she need when there has been a whole goodman ocean between us!” I was so mad, I slammed my hand down on the desk until it tingled with pain from slapping it so hard. I jumped out of the chairs and started pacing.

“Not that kind of space.” Jane continued to piss me off.

“Listen to me and listen very well, Jane. If Brianna doesn't call me back today, I will fucking come there. Do you understand me! Do not ignore my fucking calls, I will fly the fuck over there.” I started acting up.

“No, you won't come here!” She said quickly and I know that tone.

“What is it?” I tried calming my voice enough to ask.

“Don't fly here, Callan.” She warned me again but I could tell she was hiding something. I just know my sister.

“Jane?” The name came out as a warning and she groaned.

“Fine, don't waste your time flying here because she called me today all excited that she is going to fashion week…in Port Harcourt.” She surprised me by saying. Brianna is coming here? I didn't like the feeling in my gut again.

“When?” I asked right away.

“Soon, I don't know the exact day but like next week.” She surprised me even again by saying that. I ran my head through my hair and took a breath.

“Still, I am not waiting that long to discuss this, have her call me. Be fucking adult, Jane.” She laughed and it irked the hell out of me.

“You be an adult, you have a beautiful and talented and sweet girl who wants you and you are out fucking nasty holes instead. Grow up, Callan.” She said and hung up. I wanted to jump through the phone and strangle her, she hung up on my face, I am pissed.

I thought about her words on how Brianna found out I haven't stopped sleeping with other women. She said my cousin posted on social media and I was in the background, I gritted my teeth and texted him to ask where he was. The prick just brought a lot of unnecessary trouble for me. But how is she mad? We aren't dating, so what if I sent her gifts and shit? That wasn't me promising not to get pussy here. She is a thousand miles away for the next several months, did she think I would be celebrated. She is out of her mind if she did.

When my cousin texted me back to let me know they were in this fucking building, out in the back poker room. I quickly left my office and hurried over there and as soon as I was through those doors, heads turned. It is like my aura was palpable when I was pissed and people could detect it. I saw Jace and Angelo and other guys of mine were hanging out playing a few games. Bryce isn't here, perfect. When I started barging forward with purpose, I swear to god every guy in this place flinched, waiting to see if it was them I was after. I grabbed him by the collar and yanked him up. Angelo quickly got out of his chair to see why I was grabbing our other brother that way.

“Did you post stories on your Facebook with me in it?” I asked him through a clenched jaw. We were nose to nose and I could see he was nervous by the way his eyes darted all round.

“It wasn't about you, it was about me.” He quickly replied. I yanked him even closer, pulling him up to my height which he wasn't. He is probably half on his toes by now. Angelo tried putting a hand between us but I ignored him.

“Doesn't matter, I was visible enough for Jane to spot me, you know I don't like being out there in the public. Now I have to fucking deal with all this bullshit blacklash, you mother-fucker!” I tossed him into the stool that all tumbled over while he braced the bar to stop himself from trumbling with them.

“Hey, what up, man?” Angelo again tried stepping in the way. I body checked him as I passed.

“I don't know what you are talking about, Callan.” He flinched back. When I grabbed him again, he was blocking his face with his arms.

“Callan,” Angelo got more assertive. Jace is a couple years younger and he is looking out for the child.

“Brianna saw it,” I gritted out in a low and dangerous voice. Angelo understood better now even though my other cousin was still totally lost.

“Come on, let's get to the office.” Angelo offered me and started trying to move me back. I harshly released the boy's shirt and rolled my shoulders.

“If you ever post me again, I will beat you to a bloody pulp.” I warned him.

I shucked Angelo's hand off me to walk out. The boy was wide eyed and nodded profusely that he wouldn't do it again. The other guys in the room kept their eyes casted down and were sure to get out of my way. I stomped out of there and went back into the office with Angelo.

“Alright, tell me.” He opened the conversation. I told him about my damn sister and what she did to me. He shook his head but he knew Jane and how she was.

“I mean, if you want my honest opinion, I also thought you had a thing going with little Fletcher. You flew out there and shit, I don't know. I just assumed.” He scratched his hair, darting those dark eyes up to me before they darted away just as quickly.

“When the fuck! Did I tell anyone I had something going on with Brianna? When did I specify that?” I was perplexed at this point.

“It wasn't spoken in words, but…” he faltered to make his point.

“But what?! I didn't tell that girl that we were dating or fúcking each other exclusively. I never said that.” I made it damn clear, he just held his hand up in question.

“I don't know,” that was all he had to say in the end.

I tried taking a calming breath because this was really getting to me. Just as I was going to open my mouth to tell him Brianna was coming here, there was a quick knock on the door before it opened. Bryce, I tried relaxing my tense jaw and rid myself of this scowl but then again I am pissed all the time. If he asked me I would wave him off.

“I was just on the call with my sister.” He said, starting to enter the room and pulled a chair beside Angelo. My cousin's eyes shifted over to me in silent conversation with me.

“I guess she is coming here for some fashion thing.” He told me what I already knew. I noticed his eyes lingered on my face when he told us the news. He wants to see how I react.

He is testing me, as far as he knows I haven't seen her since she moved to London and then only in passing when I went there over a month ago. He has no idea but he is watching me closely. I kept my expression neutral and leaned back in my desk chair and nodded to acknowledge his statement and Angelo spoke up.

“Oh, good. Is she staying with you or like..is this a work thing?” He asked.

“It is a work thing but I don't see why she would stay at a hotel over her own room.” He shrugged like he hadn't thought about it.

“You said next week? Gosh, the girl is an international super star, flying to France, London and here.” He started messing around with Bryce to lighten the tension. Bryce chuckled at him and they started talking a little bit. I stayed quiet, I turned on my phone screen and again there was no message.

Brianna has another one thing coming to her if she thinks she can ignore without me doing something about it. Nobody ignores me.
