Chapter 186: He Is A Piece Of Shít

“Back off, Vortex. We live in the same building, you aren't needed.” Callan repeated his words to him.

Bryce was waving at girls in the line, trying to get into the club even this late at night and I just shook my head at all of them.

“I think that is the car, Callan you can head back to your girl. We are fine here.” I pushed Roy's words.

“Why don't we all go back to the apartment and party, bring this beauty with us.” Bryce waved over to one of the girls who was giggling and flirting with her eyes from the line. I wanted to pinch the bridge of my nose and groan but instead I grabbed my brother's arm from Callan and started walking towards the car. I saw Callan pull Roy aside and they seem to be arguing about something.

“You want to come with us, beautiful?” Bryce was still trying to flirt in his ridiculously inebriated state.

His eyes were red rimmed and heavy lidded, he was clearly not going to last much longer in this state. Besides, he had been all over a different girl inside the club, so why did he randomly decide to leave? I decided to ask him and he tipped his head.

“I don't think it was my choice.” He thought further.

“Who told you to leave?” I asked him.

“Callan,” he replied honestly.

Son of a bitch, he is doing this on purpose. Why the hell would Callan do that? I wanted to shout at the man, but I just don't feel like causing a scene in front of this club or on this very public street for that matter. By the time Callan and Roy came back, Roy was suddenly different.

“Hey, since things are handled here, I am going to get going, alright?” He said and my brows furrowed, I looked between the two men but just decided not to say anything.

“Okay, get home safe.” That was all I could think to say to him. Roy gave my arm a small rub before he just walked off. No hug, no kisses. Maybe because my brother and Callan are here? What did Callan say to him?

When the three of us slid into the back of the car, I remembered Callan's car was here. When asked about it, he said he drank more than he should have, so he would have someone bring his car back to the house. I was stuck in the middle of the backseat, between these two men. Bryce started saying random shit to the driver, and I kept shushing him because he was talking so unnecessarily loud. Callan's presence was like a chafing sensation that kept me on edge, I felt his eyes shift down to me but I wouldn't look at him. 

It didn't take long to get to the building and he helped my brother up to our apartment. Bryce was slowly getting more drunk and sleepy.

“I will bring you water, Bryce. Go lay down.” I said while his best friend helped carry him to his room. I got some pills and water, figuring he will need this soon.

He should really eat something to soak up the liquor but I know he won't right now. I decided to leave something on his nightstand table and when I got inside his room, I removed his sneakers, leaving him asleep on his side. He was no longer behind me. 

By the time I put my very drunk brother to bed, I lost track of where his best friend had gone. Exiting the bedroom, I caught a glimpse of him in my kitchen having a glass of water. I was frustrated that this is how my night ended, witn him somehow. I decided not to stay silent about all this, I stomped in front of where he was casually leaning against the counter, folding my arms over my chest to scowl at the man. His eyes snapped down to look at me, he couldn't help himself. His eyes trailed the length of my body before returning to my face.

“What the hell was all that about?” I hissed at him, he was the one scowling now and I hated that even now he can look this good.

Sexy dark subtle, all black outfit and inked hands around a half glass of water he has stopped at his lips.

“What?” He played dumb.

“You are the reason why Roy got kicked out of the club. There is no way they did that without your permission and you are the one making Bryce go home. You texts me, didn't you? He was too frick to send me those messages!” I shouted at him, low so that I wouldn't wake up my brother.

“I texted from his phone because he was too drunk to do it himself. It doesn't mean he didn't actually need to go home.” His tone was clipped.

“Then why couldn't you just bring him home? What purpose did I have here?” I wasn't going to let him get away with this. His jaw tensed like it always does when he is trying to control his temper.

“Why did you have Roy thrown out, Callan? He is your friend.” I pointed out.

“I didn't, he must have done something.” He lied to my face and made me so mad. I stepped forward and shoved him, I couldn't help it.

“You are lying, why did you do it, Callan?” 

Now his nostrils were flaring too but he just bulked out his chest and let me shove him again.

“Answer me, Callan. Don't freaking lie to me, why did you have Roy kicked out and why did you make me leave with you guys!” 

Finally, he snapped, he grabbed my wrist to stop me from shoving him and used his hold to pull me against him.

“Why the fuck were you kissing him in my fucking club?” He growled in my face, I flinched back.

“Why shouldn't I?” I scoffed, he wouldn't let me out of his hold so I was pressed against him and forced to tip my head back in order to ass his sharp jaw and angry eyes.

“Don't play fucking stupid with me, Brianna. I don't have the patience for it, you are lucky that is all I did.” His face came lower.

“You were practically having sex with Hannah the last time and you were kissing some chick tonight. So please, explain to me why I specifically can't kiss somebody in a club?” 

He is the one playing stupid here not me, his hand came to my jaw and brought my face an inch closer. He was stiff and defensive, so he looked larger somehow and his expression would send a man running in fear, yet I am here with his hand controlling my head's movement. And all I felt is conflict, I need to take a step back. Our chest was moving faster than it needed to.

“Roy Vortex is a piece of shit, if Bryce had been in his right mind, he wouldn't have let you even dance with him, nevermind shove your tongue in his mouth. These are my men, Brianna, I don't want you touching a single one of them.” He snapped at me, I pulled my face harshly out of his grasp.

“So, not only do you want me to stay away from you and your establishment, now do you want me to stay away from all the mafia in this city? Do you honestly hate me that fucking much!” I was yelling at full volume now.

“Brianna,” his tone was that low warning. Warning of what?

“Tell me, Callan. Go ahead and scream in my face again about how much you hate me and regret me. If you regret me then why are you meddling in my affairs anymore? Why am I still having you keep me away from other men!” 

“Because I can,” he snapped.

“You have no right! Fuck You, Callan.” I shoved him hard and tried turning for my room. I was shaking with anger right now, I knew I needed to step away but he had other plans.

“Fuck me?” His deep dark voice repeated my words and I was suddenly pulled backwards until my back hit his front. He grabbed my neck to keep me in place and pressed his lips against my ear from behind me.

“Fuck me, Brianna?” I could feel his chest heaving with the same kind of anger that was coursing through me.

His hand was still on my throat but his thumb brushed up and down my flesh. His mouth stayed pressed against my ear, and my back stayed pressed against his front.

“Let me go, Callan.” I warned him, ths air around us had thickened to a disorienting degree and I needed space.

I needed him out of this apartment, I felt his face turning inward slightly, almost like he was nuzzling into my hair and I could still feel his harsh breathing against me.
