Off Limits, Brother's Best Friend Chapter 55
Chapter 55: I Actively Seek Him Out
Brianna
Callan Harold occupied my thoughts for the rest of the night. I replayed everything in my mind and smiled. My body would turn hot when I thought of his hands grabbing me, rocking me over his knee to rub me off. How he used my ass to find his release. Knowing he is in the same building as me is torturous, how long will he fight this? Does he honestly not want more? Because I do.
I know this is only physical for him, but the more time I spend with him, the more I want to know everything about him. He found the perfect activities for us to do today that totally catered to my interest. I have never had anyone do that for me. He is intimidating and a consuming presence but he is also intoxicating and someone I want to be around more and more these days. At first, I avoided him in fear of him but now, I actively seek him out. I know my brother would be furious, yet I can't stop. Something about Callan's finesse is like a gangster. He finds respect wherever he goes, he is never in my hurry to prove himself to others. Like he knows he is always the most dangerous man in the room.
That is why he faced Ezekiel with no fear even though he had a gun. It is why he can beat the shit out of a man, then smooth his jacket down to proceed with his day. It sort of all clicked for me at that moment, a gangster, that sounds accurate. Him and my brother aren't gangsters, that crazy talk. It is just the way he can pull a wad of cash from his pocket, counting it out to drop a stack in front of me without blinking or how he managed to reserve the Empire state building on its peak crowded hours. He has connections, he is well known on any street like at that sandwich place or the day we went shopping. I am confusing lavish with gangster, that is all it is. This is how the rich live, I am sure of it.

All the crazies seemed to be coming out of the wood works today. It all started with the homeless man who had like ten cats following him down the road. Like a shepherd with a flock of sheep, the damn cats followed him everywhere he turned and it was a sight to see. Street fashion in Port Harcourt is usually pretty out there but I love it. Today, though, a man in a pride suit that consists of a rainbow-thong bottoms and he also had cowboy boots.
At work, we had a woman come in who decided to pull her pants down and showed everyone her ass tattoo. It was of a butterfly, a wing on each cheek right along the crack so that when she clenched her ass, it looked like the butterfly was flying. I gaped at that one, Zaveri and the crew laughed at my baffled reaction.
“We see a lot of stuff like that, worse even.” He informed me.
I was told Port Harcourt is like its own world and that you will see so many crazy things, you will become used to it. I guess when you cram people by the millions into one area, you get a spectrum of people. Some interesting and some down right crazy. They started telling me their stories which had me cracking up. Ethan began first.
“One time, I saw a woman laying on a tipped over newspaper stand eating hotdogs in a bikini.”
Then, Josephine countered by holding up a finger.
“One time, I was at a concert and it was so packed inside there. I somehow ended up being compacted between a couple who were all over each other. I had to duck my head because they were making out with me between them. It was awful.” We cringed but laughed again.
“I didn't see this personally but I heard about it. A window washer had to report that he saw a fucking tiger in an apartment window. The thing was massive and trying to bite through the glass.” Zaveri cut in, my eyes widened.
“Can you imagine just trying to do your job at like seven in the morning and a freaking tiger jumps at you from an apartment window. I would quit.” I laughed, he grinned at my obvious amusement. I haven't laughed this much in a while.
“One time, a man in a diaper chased me down the block.” Kate stepped in, we all paused for a second and then bellowed out with laughter.
“No guys, it was so scary. Not even funny.” She pouted, which made her lip piercing from a dimple.
With her hair up today, you could see her tattoo that reached up her neck and down her shoulders to both her back and chest. I looked at some of them up close the other day, hers and Sandra's too. Josephine doesn't have as many, just sporadic ones up two arms sleeves but plenty of clean flesh is still visible. Her face is completely clear too while the other girls have ink there.
“Do you guys remember that famous mouse who was carrying around a whole slice of bread? It became a meme for a while.” Ethan brought us back around.
“Oh my goodness, I even saw that on the news.” I nudged him.
We had to break up the chat when more clients came in. Everyone went to their respective post, I answered a few calls in between and got bored enough to go wash the two panes of glass that made up the front window. When the phone rang again, I hurried over to pick it up.
“Bizzyaski Ink, how can I help you?” I used my professional tone.
“Brianna?” I heard a deep voice and I paused.
“Umm, yes.” I felt like I knew who it was but wanted to be sure.
“It is Callan.” He said.
“I know, I am just wondering why you called.”
Since our little date, he has been avoiding me all week.
“I called for the same reason all your clients call. I need to book a session.” He gave me the duh voice and I cringed at myself. Obviously that was why he called the shop.
“Who do you usually book with?” I asked.
“I have flip flopped between a few. Anyone have any openings today?” He said, and I told him to wait for me to check.
“If the tattoo isn't too extensive, then Josephine has an opening in twenty minutes. Ethan might be able to make a later evening appointment.”
“Josephine is fine, I am in the area already.”
For some dumb reason that gave me butterflies. Butterflies that reminded me of that woman's ass which made me cringe again.
My heart skipped a beat when I saw Callan walk into the shop. I haven't seen him in a week and the last time I did, a lot went on between us. Josephine came out of the back room, walking over to greet him before he could even acknowledge me. He was in a suit, so I wondered what he would be getting tattooed.
“I had a meeting downtown, I didn't have time to change.” He said to her that his short height was cute beside him.
She seemed familiar with him, giving him a hug when he walked in and that made my gut sour a little bit.
