Something yanked at my arm, pulling me from my deep sleep. I kept my eyes shut at first, hoping for a few more minutes of rest. The tugging grew stronger.

I cracked one eye open, already knowing what I'd find. Atlas, my one-month-old son, had my forearm in a death grip.

"Seriously, pup?" I grumbled, my voice like gravel. "The sun's not even up."

He responded with what sounded like a battle plan in baby language, slapping my face for emphasis. Great. I was now fully awake. Because that's what Alphas do – get woken up by tiny dictators who can't even talk yet.

Between Aria and me, Atlas had somehow claimed the prime territory in our bed. Alpha in training, already marking his spot. Aurora was curled up on Aria's other side, dead to the world. At least one of my pups knew how to sleep properly.

*One months old and already forcing his way into the middle of everything. Just like his old man.*

I carefully extracted myself from the bed, moving with the silence. Atlas began to fuss the moment I stood, his face scrunching in preparation for a full-blown cry that would wake everyone.

"Easy, little warrior," I whispered, scooping him up. "Let's let them sleep."

I carried him to the small kitchen area of our guest quarters, retrieving the bottle I'd prepared before bed. Atlas attacked it with enthusiasm, his eyes locked on my face as he drank.

"You're going to see our new territory today," I told him quietly. "Your home. Not that you'll remember any of this."

His only response was to grab at my finger with his free hand, holding tight as he continued drinking. When he finished, I held him against my shoulder, patting his back until a surprisingly loud burp erupted from his tiny body.

"That's my boy," I chuckled.

I stayed with him, walking the room in slow circles, until his eyelids began to droop again. Carefully, I placed him back in bed between Aria and Aurora, standing for a moment to watch my family sleep. I felt a surge of satisfaction that still caught me off guard sometimes.

I headed for the shower, letting the hot water wash away the remnants of sleep. Today marked the beginning of our journey to our new territory - land that would belong to the Ancient Moon Shadow for generations to come. The weight of responsibility settled comfortably on my shoulders as I dressed in dark jeans and a simple black t-shirt.

Alpha Randall's deep voice called for me to enter after I knocked on his office door. The older Alpha sat behind a massive oak desk, papers spread before him despite the early hour.

"Alpha Jace," he greeted, looking up. "What brings you up so early?"

"Probably the same thing as you," I replied with a smile, "plus a hungry son."

Randall laughed, the sound warm and genuine. "The blessed chaos of raising pups. How is your daughter recovering after the rogue attack?"

"She's well," I said. "Just glad we're all safe."

"Good." Randall nodded approvingly. "I must say, I'm impressed with your mate. She fights better than most of my guardians, possibly all of them."

"Yes, she's extraordinary." I couldn't keep the pride from my voice. "The first time I saw her train, she took down opponent after opponent. Eventually, one tried to sneak up behind her, but she subdued him so quickly no one saw exactly how she did it. She saved me, sensed enemies before any guard on duty. She's a remarkable warrior, but also caring, hardworking, wanting everyone happy and safe."

"I can see that in her," Randall agreed. "Makes her a powerful and excellent mate."

I nodded, then shifted the conversation to more official matters. "When do you plan to step down and merge with Ancient Moon Shadow?"

Randall leaned back in his chair. "In a few years. We need more time to prepare, and your territory needs to be properly established first."

We spent the next hour discussing transition plans - territory boundaries, pack integration procedures, potential challenges. Randall's experience proved invaluable, his insights reflecting decades of leadership.

Suddenly, I felt Aria reaching for me through our mate bond.

I focused, opening the connection between us. *Yes, baby, is everything okay?*

*Oh yes, I just wanted to say the cars are all packed, and the children and the rest of us have eaten. The kitchen prepared enough food for the remainder of the day. So everyone's ready.*

Pride swelled in my chest at her efficiency. *You're amazing, baby. I'll be right there.*

*Okay, see you outside.* The link closed.

"My pack is ready to depart for the new territory," I told Randall, rising from my seat.

He stood as well, gesturing toward the door. "Let's not keep them waiting then."

Outside, Aria waited with Gabriel, her posture straight and confident in a way that still made my wolf rumble with approval. She bowed slightly as we approached.

"Alpha Randall, thank you again for your hospitality," she said formally.

Randall smiled warmly. "It's been my honor, Luna Aria. Rest assured, the remainder of your pack will receive the same treatment when they arrive."

"I know they will. You've been too kind." Her smile and slight blush only enhanced her beauty.

"But well deserved," Randall laughed, "especially after your performance last night."

Aria gave a barely audible laugh, bowing again before walking to the car and climbing inside. Gabriel followed, taking his place in the second vehicle.

"Alpha Randall, thank you," I said, extending my hand. "We'll meet again soon."

He clasped my forearm in the traditional greeting between Alphas. "Indeed we will, Alpha Jace. Take care of yourself and your family."

"I will." I bowed slightly, then turned toward our waiting vehicles.

I started the engine, and we pulled away from Randall's pack, heading toward our new territory.
