The Human Girl Who Tamed Alpha King Chapter 89
ARIA
My legs feel like jelly as the Moon Goddess turns her gaze directly toward us. I can barely process what's already happened—Jace accepting his role as leader of all werewolves, the crowd bowing to us, the mark appearing on Phantom's chest. And now she's staring at us with those ancient eyes that seem to see right through me.
"Everyone has heard stories of the last Primal Wolf King who looked down on ordinary werewolves," the Moon Goddess begins, her voice flowing through the arena. "He viewed them as inferior, as servants and slaves. To ensure this never happens again, I waited long, searching for someone capable of carrying the burden of change. I believe I've made the right choice. If anyone disagrees, speak now."
The silence that follows is deafening. Of course nobody speaks. My heart drums wildly in my chest as I stand beside Jace, still trying to wrap my head around everything. Just months ago I was a human girl, and now I'm standing before a goddess while pregnant with a future royal werewolf. Talk about life changes.
"In three months' time, Alpha Jace and Luna Aria's Moon Shadow Pack will be renamed Ancient Moon Shadow Pack, and they will relocate to the ancient tribal grounds."
I turn to Jace, searching his face for reactions. He looks as surprised as I feel, his jaw tight with tension.
"We need to find packs willing to help clear those lands, as the old headquarters have fallen into ruins over the years. Most important now is to create space for Alpha Jace and Luna Aria's pack. The rest will be built as time passes after the pack relocates. Now, I want to know which packs are willing to offer assistance."
The arena remains silent. Moving? Ancient tribal grounds? My mind races with questions. Where are these grounds? What will happen to our current territory? What about Aurora's familiar surroundings?
JACE
The weight of responsibility settles on my shoulders as I watch the Alphas exchange glances, each waiting for someone else to speak first. Alpha Marcus finally rises to his feet, his expression resolute.
"The Ravenwood Pack will provide assistance without compensation," he announces firmly. "Our warriors will help clear the land, and our architects will help design new structures."
Alpha Randall follows immediately. "The Bloodfang will help as well. The wolves under my leadership will work without payment."
Their loyalty touches me. Other Alphas step forward with offers of support, though some mention needing compensation due to recent attacks making rebuilding expensive. I understand their circumstances—not every pack has the resources of Ravenwood or Bloodfang.
I step forward, keeping Aria at my side. "Any pack needing help will receive support. Whether it's rebuilding or financial assistance, we want stable and safe packs. So I restate, anyone needing help will get it."
Cheers fill the arena, the sound overwhelming. I never sought this kind of power, never imagined standing here accepting the role of leader to all packs. But with Aria beside me, I know we can make a difference.
Later that night, the dinner celebration is in full swing, but my mind remains heavy with thoughts of the future. Looking at the representatives seated along the massive table, I finally see how broken our world truly is. Many packs struggling on the margins, wolves without homes, territories under threat. I've been too focused on Moon Shadow Pack, missing the bigger picture.
Alpha Randall raises his glass. "This will be a Sacred Moonlight Gathering everyone remembers."
"Yes," Alpha Marcus agrees, his expression hopeful. "Not only do we have a new champion, but we received a visit from the Moon Goddess herself, and we're entering a new era. A better era, I'm certain."
I can't help my skepticism. "How can you be so sure?"
Alpha Randall sets down his glass, meeting my eyes directly. "We've seen you in action. You're tough but fair. You take time to help those in need, even members of other packs. These actions, King, show us all what kind of man you are."
Aria's hand finds mine under the table, her touch grounding me. "They're right, Jace. You possess Primal Wolf power, but I've never seen you treat anyone as inferior. That's what makes a good leader. Plus, you're a loving mate and an even better father. I'm proud to be your mate and stand beside you."
Her unwavering faith in me silences my doubts. From the moment she entered my life, she's been my strength, even facing danger and death.
Alpha Marcus smiles warmly at Aria. "Indeed, Luna, you're as exceptional as Alpha Jace. We've all heard you wanted to compete in the Gathering. Considering everything that happened, your choice to stand by your mate is remarkable. You're the perfect mate and Luna to stand beside the King in every way."
A blush colors Aria's cheeks—she's still not used to such praise, especially from powerful Alphas. I can't help smiling at her reaction.
"Absolutely right. I couldn't hope for a better mate. Compared to my former mate, I've never felt love like this before. I love seeing her with my daughter."
Alpha Marcus's wife and daughter offer Aria warm smiles, accepting her despite her human origins. Their acceptance gives me hope for our future.

The music begins after dinner, and couples slowly fill the dance floor. I find Aria standing near the edge of the room, watching the dancers with a thoughtful expression. I extend my hand. "Care to dance?"
She smiles, taking my hand, and we move to the center of the floor. Her body fits perfectly against mine as we sway gently to the music.
"We head home tomorrow," I say, kissing her forehead lightly.
"Yes, I can't wait. I miss Aurora so much," she says, eyes brightening at the mention of my daughter.
"Me too."
She rests her head against my chest, and I feel her steady heartbeat against mine. This moment feels precious, perhaps our last peaceful moment before everything changes.
I gently lift her chin, making her look at me. "I love you, Aria. My heart, my soul, everything I am is yours. You, Aurora, and our child will always be my priority. Becoming King won't change that. I promise."
Tears shine in her eyes. "I love you too, Jace. You're everything. You and our children. I'll always fight for that."
"Good. Because you'll never lose me. I promise."
"You won't lose me either, Jace. Never."
I kiss her deeply, no longer caring who watches. Right now, only she matters. My mate, my Luna, my everything.
