The Human Girl Who Tamed Alpha King Chapter 120
JACE
Holy shit, I can't stop staring at her.
My breath caught as Aria stood beside me in that silver dress. She looked nervous, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear—that subtle human gesture she never lost even after getting Sage.
The massive doors to the banquet hall swung open, revealing hundreds of wolves from packs across the country. My stomach tightened. This was really happening. Me, becoming King of all werewolves.
I led her into the hall, feeling every eye follow us. The long aisle stretched before us, leading to the raised platform where Elder Silas and Alpha Marcus waited. Whispers rippled through the crowd as we passed.
"They're staring," Aria muttered.
"Can you blame them? You're stunning."
She rolled her eyes but couldn't hide her smile. That was my Aria—fierce yet uncomfortable with attention. The warrior who could take down three rogues but blushed when complimented.
We reached the platform where Marcus and Silas stood waiting. Marcus nodded respectfully while Silas stepped forward, his weathered face solemn.
Every wolf in the room bowed as we took our positions. The weight of responsibility pressed down on my shoulders. These people were now mine to protect—all of them, not just Moon Shadow Pack.
Silas raised his hands, and the room fell silent. He opened his mouth to speak, but before a word left his lips, a musical laugh echoed through the banquet hall.
Blinding light flooded the room, forcing everyone to shield their eyes. When it faded, she stood before us—the Moon Goddess herself, radiant and beautiful.
Every person in the room dropped to one knee, heads bowed in reverence. Even I couldn't help but kneel before her power.
"My children," she said, her voice both powerful and gentle.
Nobody moved, too stunned by her presence.
"Please, rise," she commanded, and we all obeyed instantly.
The Goddess smiled, looking around the room. "I've come to give my blessing and ensure this coronation proceeds as planned. But first, I must thank you all for your correct support and respect for the new rules I've asked to be implemented in your world."
She turned toward us, her ancient eyes boring into mine. I fought the urge to look away.
"Jace and Aria," she continued, "I've watched you both for years, seeing you grow into the kind people you are today. Jace, your soul was chosen to possess both wolf and Primal Wolf traits. This gave me hope, because you need not only a kind heart but also enough strength to face the battles that may come. But you also need a strong queen to help you care for your people, someone who will stand beside you to protect our world."
Her gaze shifted to Aria, whose hand tightened in mine.
"Aria, you possess a rare heart. Though born human, you care for others even when you don't have to. Your courage, loyalty, and fairness have earned everyone's respect. You have a true warrior's heart, showing extraordinary strength even before receiving Sage. That's why you were chosen to be Jace's mate and his queen."
I glanced at Aria, whose eyes glistened with tears. The Moon Goddess's words had struck deep. Her struggle between human and wolf had never been easy.
The Goddess turned to Silas next. "As the oldest elder in this pack, I appoint you head of the Elder Council. This means formal visits and ceremonies regarding the royal family will be your responsibility."
Silas bowed deeply. "I am honored, Goddess."
The Moon Goddess smiled and gracefully sat in a chair on the platform, gesturing for the ceremony to continue.
Silas cleared his throat, turning to address the crowd. "We gather today because our Moon Goddess has given us an opportunity to become one under a new era, a new royal family. Our Alpha, Alpha Jace, is someone many have heard about for years. And always good things. But you've also heard about rarely seeing such a large, strong wolf, which caused speculation. For the safety of our Alpha and his young daughter, the fact that he's a direct descendant of the ancient Primal Wolf bloodline was kept secret within the pack."
I scanned the crowd, noting the shock on many faces. This secret had been closely guarded for generations.
"At Moon Shadow Pack, we quickly saw this new family arrive about a year ago. Jace is a powerful warrior, Gabriel his trusted Chief Guardian, and Gabriel's adopted daughter Aria, born human but possessing extraordinary fighting skills, equally impressive in battle. We all noticed how our Alpha's behavior changed, raising his little daughter alone after his first mate Vanessa abandoned them and the pack. But this human girl, not yet 18, gave our Alpha hope, as he began feeling the initial signs of the mate bond when around her."
My chest tightened as I remembered those early days—fighting my attraction to Aria, telling myself she was too young, too human, too important to Gabriel.
"Alpha didn't want to pressure the young girl. But he also wanted her to experience the wonderful feeling we all feel when meeting our mates. So he took time to get to know her, quickly discovering connections forming between them, as well as between his daughter and this girl who would become his second chance."
Aria's hand squeezed mine, her emotions flowing through our bond—gratitude, love, and that ever-present conflict between her human upbringing and wolf instincts.
"We all watched their love grow," Silas continued, his voice softening. "We witnessed how this girl risked her life to save the Alpha's daughter. And how painful it was for Alpha knowing he might lose her before even having a chance to bring her into his life."
Memories flooded back—Aria bleeding in my arms after saving Aurora, the terror of nearly losing her. I pulled her closer, needing her warmth against me.
The crowd remained silent, captivated by Silas's words. I looked across the sea of faces—pack members, allied Alphas, all watching with awe and expectation.
