The words "ATTACK!" echo through the forest as rogues pour from between the trees. My guardians immediately form defensive positions, their voices rising in unison.

"Protect the Queen!" they shout, weapons ready.

I turn to Aria, who stands tall beside me, her jaw set with determination. The Rogue King wants her—my mate, my Queen—and I'll die before I let that happen.

Greta steps closer, her eyes flashing purple as she scans the forest. The air around us feels charged with energy, making my skin prickle. After a moment, her eyes return to their normal gray.

"There's a Nature Witch using an ancient ritual," she says, nodding firmly. "But my Moonlight Shield is working."

Aria rolls her shoulders, testing her movement. "I can feel it. I don't feel blocked like last time."

"Good," Greta confirms. "Eiana and I have grown stronger since joining your pack. We're ready."

I scan the tree line, tracking the movements of approaching rogues. "Can you sense where the witch is?"

Greta's eyes flash purple again as she focuses. "Northeast. Just a regular Nature Witch. Not a werewolf."

"So she can't mind link with the Rogue King?" I ask, formulating our strategy.

"Correct," Greta nods, "but she'll be heavily protected."

"Expected, but we can handle it." I squeeze her shoulder gratefully. "Stay close to Aria."

"Yes, my King."

I turn to Aria, memorizing her face as I always do before battle. "Don't hold back, but be careful. Keep our link open. Make sure Sage stays connected with Phantom."

Aria's hand brushes mine briefly. "Be careful."

"I will," I promise. "I swear."

We charge into battle. I shift into wolf form, Phantom's power surging through me. Our enemies scatter before us, but not for long. I tear through the first rogue that lunges at me, blood spraying across my fur.

Three rogues recognize me and attack simultaneously. I dispatch the first one easily, ripping through his throat. The other two target my hind legs. I dodge one and snap his neck with my powerful jaws.

The battle rages around me. I spot the Rogue King in the distance but avoid his gaze for now. We have a plan, and I need to stick to it.
