The Human Girl Who Tamed Alpha King Chapter 56
JACE
"You come from an ancient bloodline. Your ancestry traces back to royal wolf families, when Primal Wolves ruled our kind."
My grip on Aria tightened involuntarily.
"The royal families?" I asked. "I thought they were just legends."
"All legends begin with truth," she replied. "Long ago, the Primal Wolves grew arrogant with their power. They were forced to disappear until now."
She turned her gaze to Aria. "And you, human child. You were chosen to bond with a Primal Wolf. Your soul resonates with his wolf."
Aria gripped my hand tightly.
"But..." My voice caught as confusion twisted into anger. "If Aria is my true mate, then what was Vanessa? Why did I feel bonded to her?"
The Goddess's face darkened. "A mistake. Dark magic interfered with your path. Vanessa was never truly your mate."
"Dark magic?" I growled, Phantom stirring inside me.
"Yes. Someone used forbidden rituals to create a false bond. I tried to correct this error, but by the time I found a solution, Vanessa was already carrying your child. I chose not to interfere."
Aria's hand squeezed mine. "Was it... was it our connection that made Jace's former mate leave him?" Her voice carried worry.
"No," the Goddess stated firmly. "That was entirely her choice."
Relief washed over Aria's face, visible even in the moonlight.
"There's more," the Goddess continued. "Jace, your bloodline traces directly to the last royal princess. Now that the Primal Wolf inside you has awakened, you are the rightful king of all werewolves."
Silence fell over the clearing. Even the night creatures seemed to pause at this revelation.
"King?" I finally managed, my throat dry. "That's impossible."
"It is your birthright," she replied simply. "But I understand this is overwhelming. I give you one year to decide whether to accept the throne."
I glanced at Aria, concern flooding through me. "Aria is only eighteen. This responsibility..."
"Is for both of you to consider together," the Goddess finished for me. "The choice belongs to you both."
She stood, her form beginning to shimmer with moonlight. "My time here grows short. Remember what you've learned. Trust each other. Your bond is stronger than you know."
With those words, she faded into the moonlight, leaving us in stunned silence.
Aria and I remained seated, absorbing everything. My mind raced with implications, dangers, responsibilities.
"We'll figure this out together, okay?" I finally said, turning to face her. "This is huge, but we'll find the best path forward."
She nodded, her face determined despite the exhaustion evident in her eyes. "I know, Jace. I have faith in us. We'll figure it out together."
Gabriel approached, but before he could speak, Aria stood and faced him directly.
"Gabriel, I owe you an apology," she said, her voice steady but remorseful. "I didn't tell you right away about gaining my wolf. I wanted to surprise you, not shock you. I'm sorry."
Gabriel's stern expression softened immediately. He pulled her into a gentle embrace. "There's nothing to forgive, little deer. You've given me the greatest gift—seeing you become who you were meant to be." He stepped back, looking between us both. "I'm proud of you, little deer. Both of you make me proud."
Aria's grandmother stepped forward, tears glistening in her eyes. She simply nodded, unable to speak.
Aria straightened beside me, her voice stronger than before. "We can tell the Pack members about my wolf—they'll be excited to know their Luna has awakened. But the other matters..." She glanced at me meaningfully.
I nodded in agreement. "The royal bloodline and throne—that stays between family and the Betas for now. We need time to think before making any announcements."
"You're right," I continued, helping Aria to her feet. "We should head back. Everyone's exhausted and needs rest."
We walked back toward the packhouse in silence, each lost in our thoughts. Some Pack members were still celebrating, and soon they'd have even more reason to celebrate when they learned their Luna had found her wolf. But the greater revelation would remain our secret until we decided what path to take.
ARIA
I wake up in Jace's bed, his sheets a tangled mess around me, his scent sinking into my skin. My head's throbbing, last night's revelation—Moon Goddess's Chosen—striking me with the force of a freight train. I groan, scrubbing my face, but Jace's arm pulls me tight against his chest, his warmth shoving the chaos aside.
"Morning, hot stuff," Jace greets, voice gritty with sleep. His lips brush my neck, sparking heat that shoots straight through me.
I twist to face him, responding. "Hey, big shot." My fingers trace his jaw, stubble rough under my touch. "You gonna keep me in bed all day, or we dealing with this goddess words?"
His eyes flash, a rumble deep in his chest. "Hell, I'd screw you ‘til you can't move if I could." His hand grips my hip, possessive but mindful of the life growing inside me. "But we've got bigger problems."
I raise a brow, teasing. "Problems? Or you just wanna see me all sweaty?" I press closer, my thigh grazing his hardness, feeling him tense.
"You keep that up, babe, and I'm gonna fuck you brainless before coffee." His voice is a low snarl, fingers digging into my skin.
I grin, pure mischief. "Oh, yeah? Prove it." I grind against him, slow and deliberate, my nails scraping his chest. His shirt's gone, and those muscles? Goddamn, I could eat him alive. "Bet you can't keep up, Alpha."
Jace's restraint shatters. He rolls me onto my back, gentle but firm, pinning my wrists above my head. "You're too fucking sexy, Aria." His mouth crashes into mine. I moan, arching up, my body screaming for him despite the slight curve of my belly. His tongue claims mine, and I'm gone, every nerve begging for more.
"Jace, fuck me!" I gasp, my legs spreading wide. My pulse is hammering, heat pooling low, and I don't give a shit about the prophecy. Just him.
He pulls back, eyes burning. "Tell me how bad you need my dick." His hand slips between my thighs, teasing my slick heat, and I'm shaking, desperate.
"Goddamn, Jace, I need you fucking me now!" My voice is raw, pleading, as I grind against his fingers. Pregnant or not, I'm on fire, and he's careful enough to keep me safe.
His growl impacts me intensely. "You're mine, always." He shifts, angling himself, mindful of my belly. He slides in slow, deep, and I cry out, my nails clawing his shoulders. "So fucking perfect," he groans, moving steady, each thrust sparking pleasure.
"Harder, you prick!" I demand. He smiles, picking up the pace, but he's cautious, keeping pressure off my stomach. My body tightens, the edge so close, and I shatter, screaming his name as pleasure rips through me.
He doesn't stop, his growls mixing with my moans. "You're gonna scream for me, Aria, every damn time." His words light me up, raw and possessive. He pulls out, flipping me to my side, one leg over his hip. It's safer, and he slides back in, deeper, hitting every spot that makes me lose it.
"Fuck, yes!" I moan, my hands clawing his arms. "Keep going, Jace!" He's relentless, his thrusts driving me wild, and I'm climbing again, fast.
