The Human Girl Who Tamed Alpha King Chapter 127
Chapter133
JACE
It has been a week since the meeting, but now the day is finally here. Vanessa will leave Ancient Moon Shadow territory today and for a long time. Damn, it feels good to say that. After five years of her bullshit, I'm finally getting her out of our lives. The sense of relief is incredible.
I leaned back in my office chair, replaying my meeting with Anthony Westbrook in my head. His pack had been surprisingly accommodating. Not that I was complaining. The further away Vanessa was from Aria and Aurora, the better.
"She'll have limited privileges as an Omega," Alpha Anthony Westbrook had promised. "No special treatment because of her previous connection to you."
Perfect. Let her learn what it means to start at the bottom.
A knock on my door interrupted my thoughts.
"Come in," I called out.
Aria walked in, and just seeing her made everything better. My warrior-human with the wolf spirit inside her. Sometimes I see the struggle in her eyes—the human reasoning fighting against Sage's wolf instincts.
"Hey, baby," I said, smiling at her.
"You okay?" She walked over to my desk, concern in her expression.
"Yeah, I'm looking forward to getting rid of her," I replied honestly.
Aria nodded. "Me too. And it's almost time. That's why I came here. So we can go together."
"Sounds good."
I stood up and circled my desk, pulling her into my arms. She leaned against my chest, and I breathed in her scent. The mixture of her natural human scent and the wolf spirit within her was intoxicating.
"Ready for this?" I asked.
"More than ready," she answered, determination in her voice.
We walked hand in hand toward the boundary of Ancient Moon Shadow territory. Three of my best warriors were already there, standing beside the black SUV that would transport Vanessa to Alpha Anthony's territory in Europe. Everything was set, but Vanessa hadn't arrived yet.
"Where is she?" Aria asked, scanning the area.
"They're bringing her from the containment facility," I explained. "Should be here any minute."
As if on cue, we heard shouting in the distance. Two more warriors appeared, dragging a struggling Vanessa between them. She was fighting hard, trying to break free, but my men had her securely restrained.
When Vanessa spotted us, her expression turned from anger to hatred. Her eyes locked on Aria, and the venom in her gaze made my wolf Phantom stir protectively inside me.
"You," Vanessa spat, still struggling against the warriors. "This is all your fault. You're the one making him send me away, but you'll see. I'll get my revenge."
Before I could react, Vanessa lunged forward, trying to spit at Aria. I saw the momentary flash in Aria's eyes—her instincts wanting to strike back, but her human rationality holding her back. That war within her, between human and wolf, was something she fought daily.
My control snapped. I moved faster than thought, grabbing Vanessa by the throat and slamming her against the SUV.
"Never threaten my mate," I growled, tightening my grip just enough to make her eyes widen in fear. "I could have killed you for what you did, but you're still alive only because she wanted it that way. So don't you ever threaten her again, or I will kill you."
Vanessa clawed at my hand, panic replacing her bravado. "I'm Aurora's mother," she choked out. "You can't kill me."
I leaned in closer, making sure she understood every word. "Vanessa, you might be her biological mother, but you're not her mom. You left her when she was just two months old. You abandoned her. Did you even realize she felt that pain? No, you're not her mom. Her mom is Aria, because she loved her from the beginning, before she even knew I was her mate. Aria nearly gave her life to save her."
"Jace, please," Vanessa begged, tears forming in her eyes.
I released her throat but kept her pinned with my gaze. "Everything's already decided. There's no turning back."
I nodded to my warriors, who immediately grabbed Vanessa and forced her into the back of the SUV. She didn't resist anymore, just slumped in defeat as they secured her.
The driver started the engine, and within moments, the vehicle disappeared down the road. I watched until it was out of sight, feeling a weight lifting from my shoulders with each passing second.
I turned to find Aria watching me, her expression unreadable.
"Let's go home," I said, taking her hand again.

Back at our house, we walked into the living room in silence. I sat down on the couch and pulled Aria into my lap, needing her close.
"You okay?" she asked softly, running her fingers through my hair.
"Better now," I answered honestly.
I pulled her down to lie on the couch with me, holding her tight against my chest. She curled into me, her ear pressed over my heart, listening to its steady beat. I ran my hand along her back, feeling her relax in my arms.
We stayed like that for a long time, the silence comfortable between us.
"I love you," I finally whispered into her hair. "Have I ever told you how much I love you?"
Aria shifted to look up at me, her expression softening.
"Your scent and our bond caught me from the start," I said, "but I truly fell in love watching you with Aurora. You gave her the love her mother never did. Then I almost lost you both when you risked your life for her. I love you for who you are, not just because we're mates."
Aria looked up with tears in her eyes. "I love you too. I fell for you before I knew we were mates."
She touched my face gently. "You welcomed us into your pack knowing it might cause trouble. You could have refused, but you protected strangers."
Her voice softened. "You showed me what it means to be truly needed. And Aurora stole my heart instantly. Even as a human, I wanted to give her the love Vanessa didn't. Now we have our family, and I'll always stand with you to protect them. I'll always love you."
My chest felt too full, too tight with emotion. "You're amazing. I love you."
"I love you too, Jace," she whispered back.
I pulled her down for a kiss, pouring everything I felt into it. The fear of almost losing her, the joy of having her in my life, the gratitude for how she loved my daughter as her own.
We spent the evening on that couch, talking about everything and nothing. As night fell completely, we finally headed upstairs to check on the kids. Aurora was fast asleep in her bed, her stuffed wolf clutched tightly to her chest. Eliana had done a great job watching her today.
I took Aria's hand and led her to our bedroom, closing the door behind us. Tonight, I would show her exactly how much I loved her, how grateful I was that she had chosen me, chosen us.
