The Human Girl Who Tamed Alpha King Chapter 75
ALPHA MARCUS RAVENWOOD
"Alpha Richard Warren of Black Forest Pack," the Elder announced, "for violating our sacred laws and trying to force your will on others, the Sacred Gathering strips you of your Alpha title and powers. This title transfers to your son, Dylan Warren."
The Elder sliced Warren's palm with the ritual dagger.
The chamber filled with energy, ancient runes on the stone pillars lighting up. Warren screamed in agony as his power was ripped away. Another Elder cut Dylan's palm with a second dagger, mixing their blood under the moonlight. The power drained from Warren, pouring into Dylan.
Dylan fell to his knees, absorbing the sudden Alpha power. His eyes turned deep red – Alpha red. His body pulsed with new strength.
After the ritual, Warren struggled to his feet and stormed out, growling threats all the way. Everyone turned to look at Dylan.
I walked over to him, put my hand on his shoulder. "Congrats, Alpha Dylan. Black Forest is yours now. You'll bring some honor back to your Pack."
Dylan stood taller, already glowing with Alpha energy. "I swear Black Forest will live in peace with Moon Shadow and any Pack that respects our ways. And I'll find those missing wolves."
The Elders circled up with raised hands. "May the Moon Goddess witness this oath and guide the new Alpha."
After it was over, I pulled Dylan aside. "Your dad's your first challenge. He won't back down. You'll need to protect Jace and Aria."
Dylan's eyes hardened. "I'm ready. Our Packs are allies now. Whatever comes, we face it together."
"He'll come for her first," I warned.
Dylan's fist tightened, fresh blood dripping from his palm. "Then he'll have to go through me."
JACE
I felt it happen. Why I do not know. But I felt the energy and the surge of power shifting and knew exactly what was happening. Richard was no longer an Alpha and no longer a threat. Not a big one anyway.
The sensation burned through my veins like electricity. Phantom howled inside me, celebrating this change I couldn't explain. What the hell was happening to me? These weird powers kept growing stronger. First the Primal Wolf form, then the mind-reading thing with Aria, and now sensing Alpha power shifts from miles away? This shit was getting weird, even for me.
"Richard isn't Alpha anymore," I announced to the others, feeling the weight of certainty in my chest. "Dylan took his place. Don't ask me how I know this. I can't explain it."
The surprise on their faces was expected. Aria's eyes widened first, then Lucas and Eliana exchanged glances. Gabriel, though—he smiled. That cryptic, knowing smile he gets when things go exactly as planned.
Damn, I hated when Gabriel did that. The man clearly knew more than he was telling us. Always had. Ever since he showed up at my territory with Aria and Lucas, I'd sensed he was holding back. One day, I'd get the full story out of him. But today wasn't that day. We had bigger problems.
"This is good news," Gabriel nodded, crossing his arms. "It's a mystery, but you're not an ordinary werewolf, Jace. Probably one of those miracles from Moon Shadow tribe legends."
Aria moved closer to me, her fingers brushing against mine. Even that small touch sent electricity through me. The bond between us—stronger since the Moon Goddess gave her the wolf spirit—made everything more intense.
My heart raced when she touched me. Still. After all we'd been through, she could make me feel like a teenager with his first crush. The pregnancy had only made our connection deeper. Half the time I couldn't tell where my feelings ended and hers began. It was terrifying and incredible at the same time. What would happen when our son was born? Would our bond get stronger? The thought both excited and scared the hell out of me.
"I felt something strange through our bond," she admitted quietly. "Was that... what you felt?"
"Must have been. Sorry, baby. Didn't realize you'd sense it too."
"No, it's okay," she shrugged, but her eyes told me she was processing this new development. "Just wondering about it."
Gabriel clapped his hands together, breaking the moment. "Alright, kids. I need to check on our warriors. Go find seats. I've got this handled."
The stands filled quickly around us. Aria settled beside me, her hand in mine, while Lucas and Eliana took seats to our right. The buzz of excitement grew as more werewolves packed into the viewing area.
I scanned the crowd, always on alert. Old habits die hard. Becoming Alpha had only made me more paranoid—especially with a pregnant mate. The near-misses with Warren had my nerves on edge. Even though he'd lost his Alpha status, he was still dangerous. More dangerous, maybe, without the pack laws to restrain him. A desperate man with nothing to lose scares me more than any Alpha. I'd learned that lesson the hard way.
Alpha Marcus appeared at the center platform, commanding respect with just his presence. Alpha Randall arrived moments later. They acknowledged each other with slight nods—mutual respect between powerful Alphas.
"Look," Aria whispered, nodding toward the entrance. "Elder Thorn."
The old werewolf moved slowly toward the center, his aged face serious. The crowd hushed immediately.
"Today," Elder Thorn's voice carried across the field despite his age, "we enter the second day of the Sacred Moonlight Gathering. We're all eager to see who will triumph. Today's competition will determine our best tracker. We all understand what this means."
The crowd erupted in applause and cheers. The tracking competition was always a crowd favorite—a test of the most primal werewolf skill.
Elder Thorn raised his hands for silence. "May the Moon Goddess guide the most worthy wolf to victory." He stepped down, marking the official start.
Near the starting line, warriors examined the items they'd be tracking—pieces of clothing, small personal objects. The competition would span fifty kilometers through Thunder Mountains—rough, dangerous territory perfect for testing tracking skills.
I spotted Caleb Mitchell among the first group preparing. Our eyes met across the field. I gave him a firm nod—he was one of our best. He bowed slightly in response, confidence evident in his stance.
Gabriel had trained him personally. Said he reminded him of himself when he was younger. I trusted Gabriel's judgment with the warriors, even if I didn't always trust his secrets. Caleb had raw talent, but he'd been inconsistent in the past. This competition would show if he'd finally mastered his skills. Moon Shadow needed this win—not just for pride, but to show strength. After the attack on our territory and the threats to Aria, the other packs needed to see we weren't weakened. Politics. Always fucking politics.
"He'll do well," Aria said, squeezing my hand. "Gabriel's been training him specially for this."

The competitors lined up at the starting point, muscles tense, ready to begin. Elder Thorn approached once more for final instructions.
"Remember, warriors. This is not just about speed, but accuracy. Find your target and return intact. Honor your packs with your skill."
At his signal, the warriors shifted and disappeared into the wilderness, their wolf forms blending into the landscape. The tracking competition had begun.
"And now we wait," I said, pulling Aria closer.
The Alpha power transfer feeling lingered. Something bigger was happening. The Moon Goddess was moving pieces, and somehow, I was part of it. For Aria and our unborn child, I'd handle anything. Even if it terrified me.
